25-Tom and Jerry

Tyler goes to the same Starbucks every morning before work, particularly to see a certain man with crazy pink hair, a bright tattoo, and an even brighter smile. His name tag reads Josh which Tyler thinks is very boring but come on, his name is Tyler.

He exits his air conditioned car reluctantly, beads of sweat already forming at his hair line. It's extremely hot for Ohio and Tyler prefers the cold anyway, so he rushes inside before the heat starts to turn his face red.

A little bell chimes as he enters. His eyes land on the man behind the counter only to find him already watching Tyler. Josh smiles, making the brunette's heart beat faster.

Tyler has never even had a conversation with Josh outside of Starbucks. He just has a stupid little crush on the stupid cute boy with the stupid perfect smile. He approaches the counter with a big smile to match Josh's.

"Good morning," Josh speaks first, his voice just as cheery as it always is. "Your usual?"

"Uh huh," Tyler nods, leaning across the counter. "But remember, my name is Tyler. T-Y-L-E-R. Tyler."

"Right," Josh grins. "Got it."

He gets to work and Tyler stands off to the side, messing with the napkins on the counter. He feels awkward just standing without keeping his hands busy. Usually he'd wear a ring to twirl or nail polish to pick at, but he was in a hurry this morning and forgot to paint his nails last night.

Tyler is only waiting for a few minutes before Josh approaches him, that stupid grin spread across his face.

"Tyler," he says politely, handing the boy his coffee.

The first thing Tyler does, the first thing he always does, is look at his name. T-I-E-L-E-R. What the fuck? Tieler?

The brunette raises his eyes to Josh, who is standing there with his arms crossed and a smug look on his face. This happens every day. Every single day Josh manages to find a way to spell Tyler's name different. Maybe it's his way of flirting, maybe he wants to be annoying, or maybe he's just stupid.

"Thanks, Jennifer," Tyler retorts, trying not to laugh at the confusion clear on the man's face.

"Jennifer?"

"Yes, thank you."

And he walks out without another word.

Tyler is nearly dancing with excitement as he skips his way inside of the infamous Starbucks where that familiar smile instantly greets him. Glancing around, Tyler realizes this place is hardly ever busy. He looks to his watch, he's fifteen minutes early today. Purposefully.

"Good morning, you're early," Josh notices, glancing at what Tyler guesses is a clock behind him.

Tyler doesn't owe him an explanation, but he finds himself telling a little lie anyway. "My cat woke me up."

"Ah," Josh nods. "Why do you come so early in the morning anyway? Most people are asleep at six in the morning."

"First shift at the hospital," Tyler shrugs, leaning against the counter. He glances at the menu as if he's going to get something different today. They both know he won't.

"Ooh, a doctor."

"Nurse, actually," Tyler corrects.

"You're not wearing scrubs."

"They're in my car," Tyler rolls his eyes. "Why do you care, anyway?"

"I don't know. The usual?"

The brunette nods, giving up any attempts to find a different kind of drink he might like. Instead of standing to the side and messing with his hands, he watches Josh. His hands stay stuffed in his pockets.

"What time do you have to be at the hospital?" Josh asks. Tyler thinks he's just trying to make small talk.

"Six thirty."

"So you've got like forty five minutes, then?"

"Yeah," Tyler shrugs, watching Josh take a sharpie to the cup. "T-Y-L-E-R."

Josh smiles but doesn't respond, and hands Tyler a cup with the name Torrence on it.

"Ew, what the heck?" The brunette reads it distastefully, giving Josh a mean look. "That's not even close."

"Jennifer isn't even close to Josh."

"You're right, sorry John."

Josh sighs, his eyes rolling backwards. "I guess I deserved that. You got time to hang out?"

"Why would I want to hang out with you?" Tyler raises his eyebrows, acting as if that wasn't his plan since last night when he set his alarm earlier than usual.

"I'll buy you a blueberry muffin and we can sit in the back together?" Josh suggests, giving Tyler that stupid smile that has the boy swooning.

"I guess that's fine," Tyler smiles, stepping behind the counter to join Josh. The latter hands him a muffin and grabs one for himself, tossing a couple of bucks in the cash register. Josh leads Tyler to what is presumably the break room.

The two sit in small chairs next to each other, a white circle table placed in front of them. Tyler takes a sip of his coffee and sets it aside to eat his muffin.

"So..." Josh starts, peeling the wrapper off of his muffin slowly. "Taylor, huh?"

"Josiah, was it?"

"Trent?"

"Jackson?"

"Toby?"

"Joe?"

"Tyler?"

"Spell it," Tyler orders, his own grin matching Josh's amused one.

"T-Y-L-E-R."

"So you're not stupid," Tyler voices.

Josh clicks his tongue, giving the brunette a hurt look. "No, not stupid. Just super into you."

Tyler mistakenly swallows right as Josh says this, and he's so caught off guard that he gasps at the same time that food is being pushed down his throat. Basically, he chokes on his muffin and starts coughing and sputtering and making a fool out of himself.

Josh quickly holds out the coffee, touching the straw against Tyler's lips. The brunette gratefully puckers his lips around the straw, sucking down coffee as fast as he can. Thankfully, the liquid helps clear his throat and he can breathe again.

"Thank god, I thought you were going to die on me."

"You're into me?" Tyler ignores his comment, only focuses on the one that nearly killed him.

"Isn't it obvious?" Josh chuckles, drinking Tyler's coffee right out of the same straw. The brunette watches him quietly, wanting that straw back in his mouth right that second because technically it would be like they made out.

"No, not really. Is it obvious I like you?"

Josh sets the cup down, leaning in close as he does so. Tyler can feel his warm breath, can see the freckles across his nose and the swirling chocolate in his eyes.

"No, not really," Josh whispers, eyes flickering to Tyler's lips as he licks his own. The brunette knows exactly where this is going, so maybe he won't need that straw after all.

Josh is the one that initiates the kiss, his cool lips pressing against Tyler's warm ones. They kiss slowly, wanting to savor the feeling of their lips molding together perfectly. Josh places a hand on the back of Tyler's neck, pulling the boy in deeper.

Without realizing what's happening, Tyler is pulled onto Josh's lap and his hands are kneading through bright pink locks. Things heat up quickly, the kiss quickly turning from innocent to passionate. Tyler doesn't want to pull away, he never wants to stop kissing Josh. It feels so good and he feels so good and everything just feels good.

Josh grips the back of his neck with one hand while the other rests over his hip. Tyler's senses are going crazy with everything having to do with Josh. He tastes Josh, hears Josh, feels Josh, smells Josh. Everything screams Josh and Tyler's body is screaming for this to never end.

Unfortunately, the ding of the bell from the front door makes Josh pull away. He's panting, softly gasping for air. Tyler does the same, the both of them smiling at each other.

"Shit," Josh breathes. "I'll be right back."

Tyler nods, getting off the man so he can go serve whoever it is that just walked in. He takes Josh's spot when he leaves and eyes the bulge in his jeans in annoyance. Why did that stupid person have to ruin their moment? Tyler was sure he was so close to having sex with Josh. Now things would be awkward when he came back.

Sure enough, when the pink-haired man comes back minutes later, both boys are blushing bright red and are too shy to meet each other's eyes.

"So," Josh speaks first. "Yeah?"

"Yeah," Tyler says softly, smiling to himself as he replays the memory in his head. He wants to kiss Josh again. He wants to feel him. He just wants him.

"What time do you get out of work?" Josh asks slowly, taking the spot beside Tyler.

"Three thirty."

"Can I give you my number? And then when you're out or work you could... I don't know... Come over?"

"Yeah. Yeah, sure. Definitely," Tyler agrees. "Just to hang out or...?"

Josh chuckles, his hand coming to rest over Tyler's inner thigh. "I think we both want to do more than hang out."

"Right," Tyler gulps, eyeing the hand on his thigh. How can hands even be attractive? How does that make sense?

"See you soon then, Trey."

"See you, Jacob."

I just wanted to say why this is called Tom and Jerry in case people didn't get it because I know I wouldn't have

Basically since they called each other the wrong names starting with the right letter, I was thinking of two names for the title and I thought of Jerry for Josh and I think... Oh my god. Tom for Tyler. That works perfectly (-:
