1. When the Mafia King Falls for His Enemy's Daughter

Author's POV

BEEP < BEEP < BEEP < BEEP

The piercing sound of the alarm echoed in Y/N's quiet bedroom. But the alarm was no wake-up call. She had been awake long before it blared, staring at the ceiling. Sleep had long abandoned her, as her mind often dragged her back to the nightmares of her past.

The morning alarm was making a sound for you to wake up but here you were looking at your alarm as if it is some kind of joke why because you were already up before the time

Shutting off the alarm with a sigh, I went straight to the bathroom. The morning routine of skincare and a quick shower helped keep my mind in check, though today felt no different than most. After getting dressed in a sleek black outfit that radiated power, I called my secretary while heading downstairs for breakfast. When I settled down on the chair the maid the brought the food so i finished taking to him and then completed my food and went toward my garage took my car and left for the work.

On the Other Side

A man, kneeling on the cold ground, trembled in fear. His wrists were tied behind his back as he begged for mercy from the man standing above him. The laughter of the mafia gang echoed in the dim basement, but the man's attention was locked on the figure in front of him—the feared mafia king, Kim Taehyung.

V: "Did you really think you could steal from me and walk away?" His deep voice cut through the air like a blade.

Man: "P-Please... I did it for my family. I wasn't thinking."

Jungkook: "Do we look like fools?" His eyes narrowed, sending shivers through the room.

Namjoon: "We know exactly why you did it. Don't lie. There's no mercy here."

The man sobbed, pleading, "Please, don't hurt my family. I got greedy. I'm so sorry..."

A gunshot rang out before he could finish, and the basement fell silent. The man collapsed, a bullet clean through his forehead.

V: "Pathetic. He talked too much. Clean this up."

As Taehyung and his crew walked out, J-Hope glanced at him curiously. "Did you really have his family?"

V: "No," Taehyung replied coldly. "I just knew the thought of it would break him."

Jungkook: "You've got a meeting with the company board soon."

V: "Yeah. Father's orders."

Suga: "And the Shins are involved, right? What's up with that?"

V: "That's what I plan to find out."

The group dispersed, each member preparing for the next steps in their mafia dealings, but Taehyung's mind lingered on this upcoming meeting, wondering who they would be dealing with.

Back to Y/N's POV

The black Mercedes pulled up in front of the company's towering building. Stepping out, I maintained my cold composure as the staff greeted me with their customary bows and morning greetings, but I offered no response. They were used to it by now.

As I approached the elevator, an employee rushed past, bumping into me without looking up. "Are you bli—"

His words stopped as he saw who he had just bumped into.

Y/N: "Go on, finish your sentence," I said, my voice laced with ice.

Man: "I-I'm sorry, ma'am," he stammered, bowing repeatedly.

Y/N: "Maybe if you weren't glued to your phone, you'd watch where you're going." My sarcastic remark left him speechless.

When I reached my office, I settled into my chair and focused on the files in front of me. A knock at the door soon followed.

Y/N: "Come in."

My secretary entered, placing my black coffee on the table and quickly outlining today's agenda. "You have a meeting with your father about a new deal. No details have been provided yet; everything will be discussed in the meeting."

That caught my attention. "What do you mean, no details?"

Secretary: "Your father said the specifics will be revealed during the meeting."

Y/N: "Alright. Anything else?"

Secretary: "No, ma'am. After the meeting, you're free."

Y/N: "I'll head to the gym afterward."

With a nod, my secretary left. I leaned back, thoughts swirling in my head.  What could this new deal be about?

2 Hours Later

A knock on the door pulled Y/N from her intense focus on the work at hand.

Y/N: "Come in," she said, not looking up from her paperwork.

Secretary: "Your father has arrived."

Y/N: "Where is he?"

Secretary: "In the meeting room."

Y/N: "I'll be there in a moment."

Without another word, the secretary left, and Y/N finished up her last file before heading to the meeting room. Her mind swirled with curiosity and irritation as she walked down the hallway, her expression cold and composed.

Upon entering the meeting room, her father greeted her with a smirk.

Father: "Long time no see. How have you been?"

Y/N: "Same as when you left. Can we get to the point now?"

Her father chuckled. "Why so grumpy, my daughter? I'm just asking about your wellbeing."

Y/N (rolling her eyes): "Yeah, I know how much you care for me."

Father: "Don't roll your eyes at me."

Y/N: "Can we just get to the point?"

Her father leaned back, the smirk still on his face. "You'll find out soon enough."

Just as he finished, Y/N's secretary entered the room, bowing respectfully to her father before speaking.

Secretary: "Some people are asking for Mr. Shin."

Father: "Bring them in."

The secretary glanced at Y/N, waiting for her approval. After a brief pause, she nodded. With that, the secretary left the room, and Y/N's father watched the exchange without a word, observing his daughter's control over her domain. Her curiosity began to grow—why hadn't she been told about these visitors?

On the Other Side

After getting ready, Taehyung and his members left for the meeting at Shin Industries. The drive took about an hour, and upon arrival, a guard opened the door for them. As they entered the building, however, they were stopped at the reception desk.

Receptionist: "How can I help you, sir?"

Jin: "We're here to meet Mr. Shin."

Receptionist: "Do you have an appointment?"

Jungkook (frustrated): "Do we need a fucking appointment? Do you even know who we are?"

The receptionist hesitated, clearly nervous. "I'm sorry, sir. But if you don't have an appointment, you cannot enter."

Taehyung, already on edge, reached for his gun, ready to make a statement, but just then, Y/N's secretary arrived, alerted by the commotion in the lobby.

Secretary: "What's going on here?"

Receptionist: "These men are here to see Mr. Shin, but they don't have an appointment."

Secretary: "Give me a moment. I'll check with Mr. Shin and take you to him."

Namjoon (coldly): "You'd better be quick."

The secretary hurried back to Y/N's office, and within five minutes, he returned to escort the group to the meeting room.

Secretary: "Sorry for the inconvenience, sirs. This way, please."

Taehyung's group followed the secretary, their expressions a mix of irritation and cold indifference.

In the Meeting Room

Mr. Shin: "Welcome, gentlemen. I apologize for the inconvenience." He offered a slight bow to show his respect.

Suga: "Some welcome you've given us."

J-Hope (irritated): "We might need to rethink this deal after the treatment we got. You'll have to pay for that."

Mr. Shin visibly sweated under the pressure, but what caught Taehyung's attention was the figure sitting in the chair, staring out of the window, seemingly uninterested in their presence. While everyone else was tense, Y/N's calm, detached demeanor piqued Taehyung's curiosity.

Mr. Shin (nervously): "I'm terribly sorry, Mr. Kim. The staff wasn't informed of your arrival."

Jungkook: "And why exactly?"

Mr. Shin: "This company is now under my daughter's authority. She just learned about this deal. I hope you understand."

V: "Your daughter, huh? And where is she?"

That's when Mr. Shin finally realized his daughter wasn't by his side. Instead, she sat across the room, lost in thought, her eyes on the sky outside, Ear Pods in her ears, completely oblivious to the tension that filled the space.

One thing about her is that she has problem of unrecognized touch because of her traumatizing past. She flinches every time if the touch is not recognized. But she didn't Flinch because she knew who touched her when she got a tap on the shoulder

So Y/N turned around looking towards her secretary who singled her to look around that's when she noticed there were few, no more then few people standing at the entrance of the meeting room and her father is glaring at her for not been attentive. But she give's any fuck about it No...

Walking towards the people with her poker face "how can I help Mr ?"She asked. Not getting any reply she looked towards her father who didn't even bother to introduced them. That's when one of them told "we are here for the meeting arranged by Mr Lee, About the deal between the two gang "

"What Gang and what deal are you talking about Mr, care to explain and maybe you can tell me your name too" she said in the sarcastic but polite way.

V who was looking at her from the start spoke in dark and intimate tone "Mr lee that's how you are going to welcome us because you know we return the every favour We receive"

"Please come in and have a seat sir, Move Y/N" Mr lee spoke in a frightened tone with that everyone took the respective seatsWithout any further discussion the meeting started but they haven't introduced themselves yet

"I am sorry for the delay in the meeting and for the things that happened now" Mr lee spoke in a soft tone and continued with a small bow "so the meeting is all about the deal between the Knights of evil and bts for making boundaries between the selling of drugs and girl's"

As Mr lee continued talking about it but you were speechless and numb for the second so you abundantly stopped him from speaking by asking him "Mr lee what are you talking about" To which he replied in an irritated voice "The Knights is my gang and the bts is them and we are fucking talking about the mafia deal so will you let me complete this and shut up for a while"

You are what?? you asked him in a loud and cracked voice but he just rolled his eyes on you. "Stop asking this silly things as if you are 5 year old girl and start behaving like a mature girl" Mr lee voiced out in clam but sassy tone

"But you told us that you left this thing behind because of what happened in the past and you promised mother about it" your voice came cracked in the end remembering your mom "Ohh that i never left this World it was just an act" He replied way to calmly as if it was nothing"Why" thats all voice allowed you to ask"Why not, I am making good money and luxury from this" he replied in clam voice.

Further you can ask any questions about it a dark and intimate voice echoed in the room "stop this melodrama we didn't come for this once you are done set the meeting that time i didn't have any time for any kind of your bullshit" with that said V and the members left the meeting room closing the door with a bang

"Because of you bitch this happened can't you keep your mouth shut up for little bit of time" Mr lee spoke in anger but you being still not able to cope up the information didn't 't reply so he left the room in anger glaring at you

You were on the verge of crying, you felt betrayed, numb, broken and most importantly a toy that got played by his own father. You were not able to breath it was suffocating as if someone was choking you and was playing with your emotions your eyes were bloodshed red but you didn't let a single tear out You can never be weak not infront of any people

"Cancel all my schedule for the day i am going home and tell the driver we are leaving " You spoke to your secretary in cold and horsed voice "yes mam" he replied without any further questions and left the room

You were not in your right senses to drive so it was better to go with the driver you left the room having too many thoughts in mind and fighting with the devil inside your mind which was showing too much flashback from the past and it was driving you crazy

As the car moved through the city streets, Y/N sat silently in the backseat, her mind racing. The world outside passed in a blur, but inside, everything felt painfully sharp and raw.

She had always known there was something hidden beneath the surface of her father's business, but she had believed his words when he said he left the underworld behind for her mother's sake. Now, the truth sat like a heavy stone in her chest, suffocating her.

Her phone buzzed, snapping her out of her thoughts. It was her secretary.

Secretary: "Madam, Mr. Lee is calling. Should I patch him through?"

Y/N clenched her jaw. She couldn't deal with him right now. "No, tell him I'm not available for the rest of the day," she replied before tossing the phone aside.

The weight of betrayal pressed harder against her chest, and for the first time in years, she felt tears prickling her eyes. But no—she refused to cry.

Y/N (thinking): Crying doesn't solve anything. I need to think. I need to control this situation before it controls me.

The darkness in her thoughts deepened, but Y/N wasn't just angry—she was calculating. If she had inherited anything from her father, it was his ability to mask emotions and think ten steps ahead. But this betrayal? It cut deep, and it stirred something dangerous inside her.

Her phone buzzed again. It was a text from her secretary:
"Madam, Kim Taehyung's men just arrived. They left a message saying they'll 'see you soon.'"

Y/N's eyes narrowed, and a slow smirk crept onto her face. So, the infamous Kim Taehyung noticed me, did he? That could be useful. If her father thought he could make deals behind her back, she would show him exactly what kind of daughter he raised—one that knew how to play dirty too.

As the car pulled up to her mansion, she took a deep breath, steeling herself for what was next. She wasn't the same naïve girl anymore. If her father thought she would quietly accept this, he was wrong. She couldn't crumble, not now. If she wanted power, she would take it, starting with turning the tables on her father. There was no way she would let him drag her further into this nightmare without a fight.

The door opened, and as she stepped out, her heels clicked against the pavement like a countdown. The driver, sensing the storm brewing inside her, kept his head low and moved quickly. The mansion's towering gates opened as if bowing to her command.

As she walked into her home, she couldn't shake the nagging feeling that she was being watched. Kim Taehyung's presence lingered in her mind. His dark, commanding voice at the meeting had sent a shiver down her spine, but it also ignited something deeper—a challenge.

Suddenly, the sound of footsteps echoed in the hallway, and her body tensed. A figure emerged from the shadows—her father's right-hand man, Jihoon. He was tall, with a predatory smile plastered on his face. Y/N knew him well; he was the kind of man who relished being in control. But today? She wasn't in the mood to play his games.

Jihoon: "Your father asked me to keep an eye on you," he said, his voice dripping with condescension. "Seems he's worried about how you're handling the truth."

Y/N didn't flinch. She walked straight past him, her shoulder brushing against his arm just enough to send a clear message: She was not the same woman who let others dictate her life. But she stopped mid-step, turning her head slightly.

Y/N: "You can tell my father..." She paused, her voice cold and calculated, "...that he should be worried about himself, not me."

With that, she walked away, leaving Jihoon stunned for a moment before the smirk returned to his face. He knew something had shifted in her—but what, he couldn't yet understand.

Inside her study, Y/N poured herself a drink, the glass trembling just slightly in her hand as she brought it to her lips. Her mind was racing, already formulating a plan. She wasn't going to be a pawn in anyone's game—not her father's, and definitely not Kim Taehyung's.

But before she could sip her drink, a familiar chill ran down her spine. She wasn't alone. Her eyes flicked to the shadows in the corner of the room.

And there he was. Kim Taehyung, leaning casually against the wall, his piercing eyes locked on her.

Taehyung: "I told you we'd see each other soon." His voice was smooth, but there was an edge to it. He stepped forward, his presence overwhelming the room. Dangerous, powerful—everything she had been warned about.

But Y/N wasn't intimidated. She met his gaze head-on, her lips curling into a small, defiant smile.

Y/N: "You don't scare me."

Taehyung's lips quirked in amusement as he took another step closer, his eyes never leaving hers.

Taehyung: "Good. Because the games we're about to play, fear would only get in the way."

V's Perspective:

That girl... there was something extraordinary about her. The moment my eyes landed on her, everything around me faded into nothingness, as though the world had ceased to exist. Her presence was magnetic, drawing me in like no one ever had. My heart raced, the rhythm of it unsettling and foreign, and all my senses dulled except for the ones focused on her.

Her hazel-blue eyes were a world of their own—a kaleidoscope of emotions swirling beneath a surface she kept so perfectly still. That juxtaposition fascinated me. Strength and vulnerability, coldness and warmth, all in one gaze. It was as if she held the power to both destroy and heal, and for reasons I couldn't explain, I wanted to be caught in that storm.

Her lips—soft, delicate, like the petals of a freshly bloomed rose—beckoned me closer. They stirred something primal in me, a need to experience the sweetness that I was sure they held. I wanted her, not just physically, but to understand the enigma she was. What had she been through? What made her guard herself with such intensity?

And the way she moved... She was ethereal, graceful, almost like a whisper against the chaos around her. It left me entranced, unable to tear my gaze away. I wanted to hold her, to feel the warmth of her body against mine, to understand every piece of her. There was no obstacle I wouldn't overcome to make that happen. I didn't just desire her—I craved her, in every sense of the word.

But this wasn't just infatuation. It couldn't be. The more I thought about her, the more tangled my mind became. She was in my thoughts constantly—invading them, leaving me in a delicious state of chaos. What had she done to me? Why did every glance, every half-smile she gave make my heart pound harder?

V's mind spun in circles, questioning whether this was mere lust or something much deeper. Was it just the thrill of the chase? Or was it more—a need for connection that transcended the physical?

Every time I saw her, the pull grew stronger, as though she held some invisible thread that tied my heart to hers. It was impossible to think clearly. I was lost, adrift in emotions I couldn't name.

There was no denying it—she was not like the others. She wasn't just another girl I could pursue, have, and forget. She was a force—one that stirred something deep and unfamiliar inside me. The way she seemed to exist just beyond my grasp only fueled my need to chase her.

But why? Why her, of all people?

I had no answers, only the certainty that I was drawn to her in ways I couldn't explain. She was more than a want; she had become a need—a fixation. And with every passing moment, my determination to unravel her, to have her, only grew stronger.

Y/N paused, her gaze locked on Taehyung as his words settled into the air like a challenge. The room suddenly felt colder, heavier. "The games we're about to play... fear would only get in the way." His voice was low, dark, dripping with a confidence that both intrigued and unnerved her.

She had heard of Taehyung's reputation—the feared mafia king who moved in silence but commanded with brutal precision. Yet, standing here, with his eyes boring into hers, he seemed more like a storm—unpredictable, dangerous, and entirely mesmerizing.

Y/N straightened her posture, refusing to be rattled by his cryptic statement. "I don't have time for games, Mr. Kim," she responded, her tone cold but steady. "If this is about business, then let's get to it." She wasn't about to let him know he had gotten under her skin. Not yet.

Taehyung's lips curved into a slight smirk, his eyes never leaving hers. "Oh, this is business. Just not the kind you're used to." He leaned back in his chair, a casual posture that belied the intensity radiating off him. The rest of the room seemed to disappear, his presence swallowing everything else whole.

Her father, Mr. Lee, shifted uncomfortably beside them, wiping the sweat that had formed on his brow. He was no stranger to deals like these, but the tension in the room was palpable—even he couldn't deny that.

Y/N turned her attention to him. "Father, if this is some kind of sick game you've roped me into—"

"Watch your tone," Mr. Lee snapped, his voice cold, but there was fear lurking behind his eyes. "You're out of your depth here, Y/N. Just... listen." He looked to Taehyung, almost pleadingly. "Let's move forward with the deal. My daughter doesn't need to be involved any further."

But Taehyung wasn't having it. "She's already involved," he interjected smoothly, his eyes never once leaving Y/N. "In fact, she's the key to all of this."

The room fell silent. Y/N's heart began to race, not from fear, but from the sudden shift in the atmosphere. "What the hell are you talking about?" she demanded, her voice sharper now, cutting through the tension.

Taehyung's gaze flickered, something unreadable passing through his dark eyes. "Let's just say your father isn't the only one with secrets," he said slowly, his voice silky but dangerous. "You've been in the dark for far too long, Y/N. It's time you learned what's really at stake."

"What are you talking about?!" Y/N demanded, her patience wearing thin. She wasn't in the mood for his games, especially not after the bombshell her father had just dropped about his criminal empire.

But Taehyung only smiled, the kind of smile that sent a shiver down her spine. "All in good time," he replied cryptically. "For now, let's start with the basics. I don't make deals unless I'm certain of my partners. And right now, you're an unknown variable."

Y/N narrowed her eyes. "So, what? You think you can test me?"

Taehyung leaned forward, his gaze intense. "No, Y/N. I know I can test you. The question is... will you pass?"

The room was silent, the air thick with unspoken tension. Y/N felt a pulse of anger rise in her chest, but she kept her composure. "And if I refuse to play your game?"

Taehyung chuckled, but there was no warmth in the sound. "Refuse all you want. But this is bigger than you. Bigger than all of us." His eyes darkened. "And the truth is, you don't really have a choice."

Y/N's blood ran cold. There was something about the way he said it that made her feel trapped, as if the walls around her were closing in. But she couldn't show weakness. Not in front of him.

"I'm not afraid of you, Taehyung." Her voice was strong, despite the turmoil brewing inside her.

"Good," he said, his voice low and smooth. "Because the games we're about to play... fear would only get in the way."

Her mind raced as she left the meeting room, her father staying behind with Taehyung and his group. Y/N walked briskly down the hallway, her fingers trembling slightly as she clenched them into fists. She wasn't afraid. She couldn't afford to be.

But this game—whatever it was—was one she wasn't prepared for.

In the car, Y/N stared out the window as her driver took her back home. The city lights blurred, a distant hum as she tried to process everything that had happened. Her father's betrayal, Taehyung's cryptic words, the sudden plunge into a world she didn't understand.

Her phone buzzed, pulling her from her thoughts. It was a message. From an unknown number.

"Meet me tomorrow. Midnight. You know where."
