Hajime woke up, half expecting to feel her warmth next to him, but as always, nothing was there.

God, he missed her. A lot of horrible things had happened on Jabberwock island, but he wouldn't trade the time he got to spend with the gamer for anything. He loved her, that was one of the few things he was positive of.

He knew it was wrong, and painfully pathetic, to fall in love with someone who had never really existed, but Chiaki was different. She was kind, and even if she was quiet most of the time, she made her opinions known.

Maybe, in another life, they would meet again.
