Happy Birthday Midoriya!

It's Broccoli Boy's birthday!)

><><

Beep, beep, beep, bee-

I groaned, and felt around my bedside table, before finding my alarm clock and smashing the snooze button.

I was about to fall back asleep, when...

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY IZUKU!" Mom burst into my room, scaring the crap out of me as I shot up in bed with a startled screech.

"Birthday? What are you..." I trailed off, and grabbed my phone, checking the date.

July 15th. My birthday.

Instantly a smile grew on my face.

"Thanks Mom," I climbed out of bed and hugged her. She hugged back.

"Breakfast is ready, so come down whenever your ready! I made your favorite!" Mom skips out of my room again once I pull away, and I smile, sliding out of my bed and pulling my uniform out of my closet. I get dressed, and head downstairs.

True to her word, Mom made chocolate chip pancakes with bacon for breakfast.

"I packed your lunch as well, oh I can't believe your already 16! My baby boy is growing up!" Mom exclaimed, almost like it was miracle.

"Mom, it's just my Birthday..." I rub the back of my neck, embarrassed.

"Nonsense! And I expect your friends to come home as well so we can celebrate! I've already messaged Mitsuki, and she said her son will be here, and I managed to get word to your friends, Ochaco, Tenya, and Shoto, their families all said that your friends will be here!"

Geez, Mom must have been really excited for this if she found a way to message everyone...

After breakfast, and packing my things, I said goodbye and walked to school.

When I entered the class, things were a bit more... chaotic then usual.

Of course, mostly because of Kacchan.

He was yelling at his friends again.

I sat down at my desk, and grabbed my pencil.

"Deku!" Uraraka ran over.

"Oh, good morning Uraraka!" I smile.

"Hey, I wanted to ask, my parents said I was going to your place after school, do you know why?" She asks.

"You were told too?" Iida popped into the conversation, "My brother told me the same thing."

"Strange, I was told the same by my sister..." Todoroki said quietly.

Oh, right... I never told them when my birthday is...

"Uh, well-"

"Are you fucking kidding me? Am I the only one who knows why we're going to the nerd's house after school?" Kacchan stops yelling at Kirishima, and turns in his seat.

"You? Why are you going?" Uraraka gave him a confused look.

Kacchan rolled his eyes.

"Say it Bakubro! Come on!" Kirishima exclaimed, grinning. I guess Kacchan told him.

"HELL NO! STOP TELLING ME TOO SHITTY HAIR!" Kacchan yells, turning bright red. I can't help but laugh.

"Come on! You know you wanna~!" Kirishima teases.

"UGH! FINE! Only because it'll make you shut the hell up..." Kacchan grumbles, before turning back to me.

"Happy birthday... Deku..." he mutters.

"Wait for it..." Kirishima mumbles.

"IT'S YOUR BIRTHDAY?!" The entire class exclaims at once, aside from Kacchan and Kirishima.

"Why didn't you tell us?!" Iida exclaims.

"I just never thought it was super important I guess..." I say, and it was the truth.

"What?! It's your birthday, of course it's super important!" Uraraka exclaims.

"Happy birthday then, ribbit." Asui says.

"Happy birthday, can I start class now?" Mr Aizawa asks. Everyone quiets down, and class starts.

After school, I walk home with my friends.

"Hey, why exactly is Bakugo coming again?" Uraraka asks, with a side glance at Kacchan.

"Because he's my friend?..." I give her a confused look.

"I'm surprised Mrs Midoriya still thinks that..." Kacchan grumbles.

"What do you mean?" I ask him.

"Middle school." He replies.

"Oh..." I rub the back of my neck, "I... uh... may not have told her about that..."

He raises an eyebrow, but doesn't reply.

When we get to my house, the door bursts open, revealing Mom.

"Izu! Welcome home!" She cheers, hugging me. I hug back, and pull away.

"Katsuki! It's so good to see you again!" She turns to Kacchan and hugs him. He stiffens, and hugs back hesitantly.

"And you three must be my Izuku's friends!" She pulls back and turns to the others.

"Yep! I'm Ochaco Uraraka!" Uraraka exclaims, smiling.

"My name is Tenya Iida." Iida adjusts his glasses and nods at her.

"Shoto Todoroki." Todoroki states plainly.

"Well come on in! Make yourselves at home!" Mom exclaims cheerfully, going back inside.

"Your mother is..." Iida trails off.

"Interesting." Uraraka finishes.

"...I forgot how nice she is." Kacchan sighs, walking inside. I follow him, with the others.

"So what do you wanna do?" I ask.

"Ooh! Can we see your room?!" Uraraka asks excitedly, and I nod, and lead them to my room.

When we go inside, they look around.

"It hasn't change at all." Kacchan is the first to comment.

"All Might is... everywhere." Todoroki notes.

"Wow! You must really like All Might!" Uraraka exclaims.

"Very neat, I approve." Iida nods.

"Heh, thanks..." I say, sitting on my bed.

"Holy shit nerd, how many of these do you have?" Kacchan asks, holding up one if my hero analysis books. I squeak, and snatch it from him, putting all the ones he pulled out back in the drawer.

"Kacchan! Don't go through my stuff like that!" I exclaim.

"The drawer was open dumbass." He retorts.

"It was?!" I exclaim, quickly closing the drawer and locking it again. I put the key in my pocket.

"So, any way, what do you wanna do?.." I ask nervously.

"Video games?" Uraraka suggests, "I saw an Xbox in your living room."

"Sure!" I nod, and we head downstairs.

"STOP FUCKING WINNING ICYHOT!" Kacchan yells, after the third round of Todoroki beating us in racing.

"Try harder." Todoroki replies plainly, as we start another round. This time I won.

Kacchan glared at me. I squeaked.

We stared another round, and Iida won, then Uraraka.

After 10 rounds, Kacchan won.

At the end of the day, everyone was leaving.

"Bye Deku! See you tomorrow!" Uraraka waved, and left.

"It was nice meeting you Mrs Midoriya, but I must go. See you tomorrow Midoriya." Iida waved before leaving as well.

"...I need to go as well. Father will be upset that I left without telling him..." Todoroki sighs.

"You didn't tell him?" Mom asks.

"Todoroki has... complicated relationships with his parents." I explain to her.

"But his mother seemed so kind..." She mumbles.

"Mom wouldn't have answered the phone. That would have been my older sister. My mother is in the hospital..." Todoroki says.

"Oh, you poor dear!" Mom hugs him, and he tenses up, but hugs back, "If you ever need anything don't hesitate to come over! Your such a sweet boy, I hope everything is alright."

Todoroki nods, "I'll see you tomorrow at school."

Then he leaves too.

"Are you leaving as well Katsuki?" Mom asks.

"Yeah, I'm pretty sure I've overstayed my welcome with Deku." Kacchan says, walking out the door.

"Nonsense! Your always welcome here!" Mom exclaims.

"Sure, whatever. See you tomorrow." He starts to walk away, but pauses.

"Tch, almost forgot." He turns around and pulls a box out of his bag, a present, and gives it to me.

"Happy birthday, Nerd..." He turns around again and leaves.

Mom and I go back inside, and I open the box.

Inside is a new pair of red shoes, and a note. I pick up the note, and read:

I saw your old pair is worn out, and figured you needed new ones. Sorry if they don't fit, there's a receipt so you can return them.

Happy birthday Izuku.

-Katsuki Bakugo

"How kind of him!" Mom exclaims, reading the note over my shoulder, I nod and put the note down, picking up the shoes and trying them on.

They fit perfectly. I smile and take them off.

The next day, I wore them to school, and I could've sworn I saw Kacchan smile a little when he saw them.
