User let out a hum as she walked outside, her gaze casting her gaze over to Chara's with a smile. The other had asked her to go outside, and of course, she hadn't refused. This was her demon after all. "Hey, Chara, what's up?" She asked, smiling brightly.

Chara sighed gently, biting her lip gently with closed eyes. "Think back many timelines ago... To when we first met." She said softly, placing a hand on the others shoulder, gently covering her eyes. The other opened her eyes, Chara beside her. They both watched as a younger User tried to interact with a younger Chara, Chara immediately attacking. "I was so violent. Harsh. Like my surroundings. I was... different from how I am now.." She chuckled, smiling lightly at the creator.

The scene faded into a new one of the two talking. Chara was held back ropes, possibly so she wouldn't attack User. "You calmed me, User. You helped me calm. You supported me. You let me talk about my problems." Chara chuckled, face softening as she watched her younger self crying. "Let me talk about everything. My past... depression... Frisk... Not wanting to be the 'bad guy'..." She sighed softly, biting her lip.

A new scene, the two talking in Waterfall. It seemed User was making the most of the conversation, Chara listening. "Then you told me about yourself. You were... like me... A broken soul... Then you agreed to the deal. A deal that led up to this moment. I would be seen as your demon. I would disconnect myself from Frisk's soul. I would protect you. Help you. We would both try and conquer our depression together. We talked to Frisk. She agreed. She was the one who made the other part." Chara sighed, gazing at User. "When I turn twenty-five, our souls would disconnect. I would go back to Frisk. We made a soul promise."

Darkness surrounded the two. The void. "We had a lot of... changes, shall we say, through this time. Friends... enemies... lovers... deaths... we've had it all. We did what we set out to do." She pulled up User's sleeve before her own, smiling gently. "We're both three months clean." The demon chuckled, sighing softly as she turned around. "I asked you to come outside... because I knew when I finished speaking it would all be over. In a minute, I will be twenty-five. You will have gone through five years of having me by your side, excluding the time from the other resets. I must thank you... For everything... you've changed me, helped me, helped me prove that EVERYONE can change. Now it's time for me to connect with Frisk once more. I will be able to come to the house but... I'll have to follow Frisk quite a lot... But thank you... thank you so much, my friend..."

User froze lightly as the other finished, tears in her eyes as she stared at the demon. "No.. not so fast... I'm not ready... I'm not ready for things to change! Frisk will hurt you! She'll torture you!"

"User she won't. Even if she does, she won't turn me back to the way I was before."

"What about all of us!?" 

"I will tell them once I've gone over the phone."

"CHARA I CAN'T LOSE YOU!!"

A silence... "You won't. I'll be fine. I'll call, I'll come to you guys whenever I can, I'll do whatever I can to make you happy. It has to be this way, or we'll both die..." Chara sighed, pulling User into a tight hug. "Nothing will change me now. "I have been through so much. The only way someone could change me would be through codes." User sighed weakly, hugging back before looking at her phone. 12:00 am. 

"Happy Birthday.."

"You really think I'm leaving for my birthday? No. I'll go talk to Frist then stay with you guys. Then I'll go."

This brought a smile to User's face. "You promise you won't change?"

"I promise." Everything around them shifted and they were outside the house once more. "Shall we go eat?" 

"Yeah... let's go inside..."
