Comic Love | Lucario X Lycanroc [midnight]

Lucario, from the very beginning, had a keen taste for the comics. And from the word comic, the name 'xFighterFiguresx' always was his first choice.

The comic was of five brave fighters who saved the world many times. And Lucario had already read it's all the books of 4.0 volume. And now he was eagerly waiting for the 5.0 volume. Tomorrow was the day of its arrival.

Next Day

"Today it will arrive!" Lucario exclaimed and went on for searching the comic shop.

He arrived at many of them, but sadly no of them had got the 5.0 volume of xFighterFiguresx. Yet still, there was one shop left. So why not try hitting it, just once.

He then decided to enter the shop. Without thinking much, he proceeded to the counter.

"E-Excuse me, do you- by any chance- have the 5.0 volume of the xFighterFiguresx?" He asked the person, and in return, the person pointed to the shelf where a Midnight Lycanroc was searching for a certain book.

"Okay, Thanks!" He was quite happy but a bit confused at what the Midnight Lycanroc was doing at the Comic shelf? Hmm...

"Doesn't matter, I want to check out the publications!" He then sped walk to the shelf and started searching for the book.

It took him a while to find, probably because of him taking glances of the Midnight Lycanroc. She was a pure source of beauty, so bright and shiny. Such cute and deep coloured eyes. She is captivating! Lucario thought. But shrugged it off as soon as Lycanroc looked at him.

"W-What happened?" She asked him. And he answered with a silent 'Nothing'. She gave him a nod and continued searching.

Lucario then looked around for the book, and there it was! In the fourth row of the third comic shelf. He ran over to there to take it. But before his hand reached the book, someone else's hand hold it. He looked at the owner of the hand.

"Huh?" He was quite shocked as the pokemon was not a male. But instead, it was a she. Midnight Lycanroc.

"You... Too are into 'xFighterFiguresx'?" He asked her a bit shocked. She silently nodded, and he smiled. "Even me too!" He chimed.

"But then, even you also want to read it, right?" She said in a low tone while looking in a different direction to avoid eye contact. "Y-Yeah, but you can take it. I will go check somewhere else." He smiled at her and she smiled back.

"Thanks!" She happily bounced. "Btw, what is your name?" She asked him grinning. "Oh! It's Lucario." He replied. "Oh nice, I'm Midnight Lycanroc. But call me Midnight." She gave hers.

"Nice to meet you, Midnight!" Lucario greeted and she greeted back.

She then ran to the counter and bought the book. Then waved Lucario a bye and ran off to her house. "Ah! She is so sweet, just like sugar..." He gushed a little and went back home.

While walking on the street, the memories of Midnight and The volume 5.0 of his favourite book flashed on his mind. He was quite sad that he was not able to get the book but happy to meet such an angel.

"Lucario!" He heard someone call him and turned to spot the pokemon. "Over here, Lucario!" Lucario then looked at the other side of the street and saw the same Lycanroc he met at the store.

"Hey!" He waved at her, and she signalled him to come over. He agreed and sped walked to her. "What is it, Midnight?" He asked her while taking air.

"I was.. Uh... asking that... Uh... Um... Do you wanna come over to my place?" she asked shuttering as a slight tint of pink covered her cheeks.

"Uh... Sure! But for what exactly?" Lucario did agree with her but he has to know for what he was being invited.

"You looked kinda off when I bought the book, so I thought of why not we both read the book together! In this way, we both will be able to read it and no one will be sad." She explained her point and Lucario's face brightened up.

"I wouldn't mind!" Came his reply. " Then C'mon, let's head to my house!" She grabbed his arm and dragged him to her house.

After spending a few minutes in walking, they reached Midnight's house. She lived there alone, so no fear of parents. Lucario had the same life. No parents at all, living independent.

"Welcome to my home!" Midnight greeted and stepped inside, allowing Lucario to enter the house. "Wow! Your house is amazing!" He complimented and earned a blush from Midnight. She looks cute in that blush!

"So, wanna read the book?" She asked him, in hopes to hide her blush. She succeeded. "Sure!" Lucario agreed with a toothy grin.

"Come and sit here, while I bring the book and something to munch on." She offered Lucario to sit on the couch went to take the snacks, and then for the book.

She came back after a few minutes with a tray full of cookies and chips, and in another hand, was the book.

Lucario's eyes glistened with excitement. Midnight came and sat beside Lucario and kept the tray on the table. Lucario then took the book and opened it.

"Let's read!" Midnight cheered and the two proceeded reading.

"This was the fifth fight of the Fighting Figures, they were fighting against a giant monster, who was destroying the city..."

Lucario, though, wasn't concentrating on the book. Instead, his concentration was someone else. Midnight Lycanroc.

"Such beauty!" Lucario whispered but Midnight didn't hear. She just smiled while her eyes kept a steady stare on the book.

"Oh hush! Let me read." She said, and Lucario blushed. "S-Sorry!" He apologized.

The continued to read the book in silence. Each time the duo taking alternate glances of the other, smiling. There seem to have become a small spark of feelings between them. Yet they didn't realise.

Not soon after, the book was completed. The end was somehow related to a romantic scene between one of the male and female fighter figures of the group of five.

Then, Lucario and Midnight decided to head for a small walk, since it was too suffocating inside the house. It wasn't long enough when Lucario offered his paw to Midnight to hold since the road was a little rocky and uneven.

She gladly accepted, and the duo walked for a long time. It was evening 5:00 pm when they started their walk. And now when they were at the beach, which was nearby, the time was almost near to 8:00 pm.

"Time surely flows by when you are with someone you love..." Midnight whispered to Lucario and they stood there hand in hand. They didn't realise that they have fallen for each other but were totally sure that something was up between them since their first encounter.

"Yeah... You're right Midnight." Lucario sighed in content and his grip on Midnight's paw tightened. She noticed that and turned to face him. He too then turned to face her and held her other free paw.

Lucario was inching closer to her while she kept a steady stare at him. She knew what he was going to do.

"You know..." Lucario began. "Y-You know... I have f-feelings for you. Ever since our first encounter." Midnight smiled at him and tightened her grip on his paw.

"Remember when you were searching for the book at the store?" He asked her and she nodded as a response. "Well, that was when I fell for you. And yet couldn't realise it!" He laughed at remembering their first meeting. She soon joined him. "But now I know, that..." He came close to her ear and whispered, "I Love you..." She gasped at him and retraced her paws back from his grasp. His face fell and he got saddened at her actions.

But soon felt something wrap around his neck. He looked up to see Midnight coming closer to him.

Not soon enough, lips met lips, and sparks flew at the contact. They closed their eyes and we're enjoying the tender moment at the sunset on the beach.

When they pulled apart for air, Midnight replied, "I Love you too!" He was so overwhelmed that he quickly embraced her in a hug and she gladly returned the gesture.
