•Whumpvember- Day 2: Bloody Hands(Saioumami)•

Yeet i'm online more often

Well. I was going to publish this yesterday but it took me so long to think of ideas, so i ended up doing it today.... I don't know if I'll be able to do another one today since I need to catch up with the others doing this.

This is Danganronpa btw... and it's kind of Saioumami...? (Shuichi x Kokichi x Rantaro in any order)

---

Shuichi hated the idea of a killing game. It was absolutely horrid. High school kids just killing each other...? He just couldn't process it. Monokuma announced the fact like it was nothing new. Like it happened all the time.

But Shuichi just didn't understand, why did he have to be dragged into this? He wasn't anything special, he wasn't even that great of a detective. Shuichi never considered him anything important or anything overly odd with his personality. So why did he have to be part of such a horrid thing?

When he first heard the monochrome teddy bear make a point that they were only here for the killing game, Shuichi was so skeptical. It seemed like a joke. Get out of this place only by killing someone? Maybe he had no reason to kill anyone, and that's why he assumed the same for everyone else. Why would one want to kill someone anyway? The idea didn't even make sense to him. And the rules seemed too hard to beat anyway. Someone was going to find out the killer, he just knew it. It was all too risky.

They were all the same age. From Shuichi's view, no one should have anything overly against each other. All high school students, Shuichi knew everyone had their own problems, but he didn't think that should ever be used to hurt someone else, or themselves.

But as he stared at the situation in front of him, it was quite obvious that was not the case.

"You're the mastermind, aren't you?"

Rantaro has said that. Not to Shuichi, of course, but to another student. The detective didn't want them to see, so he kept himself out of view and he couldn't see the person that Rantaro was talking to.

Shuichi was sure no one would die. Until Monokuma revealed there was a mastermind. Now, like the scene in front of him, everyone was determined to find the mastermind. Maybe even kill them, if they were determined enough. He made sure to keep himself hidden. Shuichi definitely didn't want his life at risk either, so he listened to two boys talking in the room.

"Mastermind? What are you talking about?" The voice was easily recognizable, even though Shuichi only met everyone quite recently. He was the one that stuck out to Shuichi the most. Even though the detective couldn't find anything special about himself, he definitely found something special about many of the other students that he met.

Kokichi Ouma. That was the one who stuck out to Shuichi. A needle from no where, there to hurt you or help you. He was a bit like that. And Shuichi noticed that the purple-haired dictator had seen some interest in the detective, or as Kokichi himself would say, compared to others, Shuichi was "not boring". But the way Kokichi acted did seem very suspicious, whether it was intentional or not. So of course someone would come to the conclusion that Kokichi was the mastermind of the killing game, true or not.

"Stop lying. You set this all up, didn't you...?" The deep, calm voice was the one that Shuichi remembered as Rantaro Amami. "I saw what you did last night."

"What... did I do last night?" God damn it Kokichi, don't say that! Shuichi thought. Wait- why did he even matter? He couldn't keep his eyes away from what was happening.

"I saw you. You went through the secret doorway. It's right in this library," Rantaro said. Shuichi couldn't help but admire how calm and collected both of them were being in the situation. They were actually a bit similar once Shuichi considered it.

"Hm? That? How can that prove I'm the mastermind? Didn't you open it yourself, Rantaro~?" Kokichi questioned.

"That doesn't matter. Even the way you act! It's like you're trying to tell us your the mastermind. And... I'm going to stop this killing game because of people like you," Rantaro said. He pulled out a gun and started walking close to Kokichi.

"No way..." Shuichi muttered from where he was standing. The Rantaro he knew would never do that! Rantaro was the one saying to stay calm, he never got mad at anyone. What was happening now...?

"Nishishi, that was why you came, wasn't it?" Kokichi laughed, but Shuichi caught a glimpse of fear in the dictator's eyes. "To kill me, that's it? What happened to the person saying to stay calm and that no one will die, huh? Huh?"

"Don't even say another word. I have to get out of this place..." Rantaro muttered. He raised the gun and shot it at Kokichi's hand.

"Ahh! God... you really were serious, huh?!" Kokichi said as he strained his voice. He used his other hand to balance himself against the walk of the library, as his left hand was stained with his bright pink blood. It popped out in the full environment as Kokichi winced in pain and tried to stop the bleeding, but to no avail.

"Say one more thing and I'll shoot a vital organ this time," Rantaro hissed quietly. Shuichi knew he had to stop this. It was a gut feeling. He needed to protect Kokichi. The supreme leader never did anything wrong in his eyes, he didn't deserve this at all. And he needed to stop Rantaro from this maddening idea. Staring at the two boys a moment longer, Shuichi quickly ran out from where he was eavesdropping earlier.

"Don't do it!" Shuichi yelled, stepping in front of Kokichi as he faced Rantaro. But by then, Rantaro had already pulled the trigger. He didn't even realize that Shuichi was in the room until seconds later, when the bullet hit Shuichi's chest. Pink droplets of blood shot in all directions.

"S-Shuichi?!" Kokichi asked in shock as Rantaro continued to stand there, his gun gripped loosely in his arm. Kokichi quickly ran to the detective as  he fell unconscious in the supreme leader's arms. "Owwww, fuck," he muttered as Shuichi's body touched Kokichi's wounded hand.

"N...No way..." Rantaro murmured as he stared at what he did. "Shuichi...? Did I...?"

Kokichi didn't even hear Rantaro. He was busy trying to wake up Shuichi, if the detective would wake up, that is. The shorter boy grabbed Shuichi by the shoulders and shook him, but he remained unconscious. "No, Shuichi..." he muttered.

Before Rantaro could react properly, he heard footsteps towards the library. "Oh, fuck," he muttered as he dropped the gun on the ground so he wouldn't be immediately suspected.

Kokichi continued to check Shuichi for anything- anything to show that he was alive. But there was nothing. No heartbeat, no breathing, no thought.

No life at all.

"Rantaro... what did you do?  Why didn't you kill me?" Kokichi stared at his bloody hand that Rantaro had shot. "I deserve to die, not him!!"

"I-I... I really thought you were..." Rantaro couldn't say anything. He couldn't believe what he did. He had planned to kill Kokichi because he though he was the mastermind, but he just ended up killing Shuichi instead.

"Don't you get it?! Monokuma said there was a mastermind as a motive. I thought you were fucking smart enough to at least understand that!" Kokichi exclaimed, tears welling up in his eyes. As he let in a sharp but shaky breath, the footsteps got louder and louder until the two girls walked past the sight of what happened.

"What the fuck happened here?" Miu said in surprise as she stopped walking and peered at the library.

"Huh?" Kaede glanced at the library as her eyes widened. "Shuichi?!"

It was too late. They were found out. Kokichi knew it, and Rantaro knew as well.

Ding dong dong ding!

***

Kokichi was voted as the culprit.

No matter how much he tried to convince the group otherwise, they wouldn't listen. Because he was a liar to them. Someone who had betrayed their trust.

"For the last time, it's Rantaro?! You guys even saw him with me!" Kokichi didn't want to die this early. And he didn't want to die from the execution. Why couldn't he have just died with Rantaro? He stopped talking. Maybe it was better this way, for everyone to die except Rantaro. And besides, there wasn't anything especially wrong about the green-haired male. It wasn't that Kokichi disliked Rantaro as a person. In fact, he thought quite the opposite. But why did Shuichi have to get in the way? Why did the circumstances end up like this?

He stared again at the votes. They were unanimous, which meant he voted for himself too.

"Upupupupu..." Monokuma laughed as the results came in. "You all thought that Kokichi was the culprit?! Well, fun fact- YOU'RE RIGHT!!"

"Huh? Really?"

"What?! That's not true!" Kokichi exclaimed.

"Oh, stop acting like that! Even Monokuma said you're the killer!"

"Yeah, stop lying!"

"No... No..." Kokichi stared at Rantaro, who looked back without any obvious expression. Kokichi couldn't get a read on him at all. He looked at Monokuma, not understanding it. Did Monokuma want him to be killed? Was he really that useless? The people he actually found interesting, and the people that seemed to have a tolerance for him, was Shuichi and Rantaro. But other then that, he completely alone.

As Kokichi stared at his bloody hand, he couldn't help but wonder... why did this happen to him out of all people? "Haha, the earth just hates me, doesn't it?" he muttered. "It just loves to torture me. Good thing that won't have to last any longer..." He stared back up at everyone else. Kokichi was going to die, but he was ready.
