(1) Time Leaper: Keiko X Yosuke / Ghost Fighter (ENGLISH)

Written on November 8, 2015

My name is Keiko Yukimura, a time leaper. We can manipulate time, can go back to the past and see the future.

This may sound crazily ridiculous and man-made fiction but here I am, suffering from the consequences for tampering time.

I used to be a typical high school girl when I found a rusty, old, pocket watch washed in the seashore and everything started to change when I discovered the mystery behind it.

It was one afternoon when me and my best friend, Yusuke, played soccer. I watched him as he gained an ample amount of physical strength, striking the penalty ball with full force.

Determined, I flew, stretching my arms to block it but unfortunately, I tripped and failed to gain momentum, so I ended up falling into the steel tubular frame.

Just then, a tick of a clock echoed, and hazes dimmed the blue hued skies which seems to be breaking apart into shifting patterns of red and orange hues.

I inclined my head to see what happened next but to my surprise, a timepiece with familiar scenes came flashing out of nowhere. My lips parted as the scenes became clearer then all of the sudden, I saw Yusuke in front of me in the same position before he kicked the ball.

"Is everything okay?" He asked when he saw me looking at him, bewildered.

I batted my eyes and forced a smile, "ahh...yes!"

"Are you sure? You seem to look pale," he asked again, picked up the ball and walked towards me. "Should I accompany you to the clinic?" His voice went low, sounding all worried.

"I-I'm fine, really."

"Hmm... okay but let's go home for now so you could rest."

He laid a hand on my head and nuzzled my hair.

"You do know, I hate my hair being nuzzled, right?" I asked, squinting my eyes so he immediately pulled his hand away, chuckling.

Bunch of questions came running inside my mind as if I'm interrogated inside a court with nothing to say at all.

I reached home and as usual, mom isn't around. She only gets home every midnight and leaves before I wake up in the morning, so I have no one to share this confusion with.

I was about to take my pants off when something fell into the floor-it's the pocket watch! My forehead creased as I bent to pick it up.

Despite of being confused, I still chose to shrug it off but ever since that day, I always had it with me. Afternoon sessions are finally done, so Yusuke and I went to the seashore to watch the sunset-our usual heading-home ritual-and sat on a flattened rock, just a couple of steps away from the waters.

I squinted an eye as I raised the pocket watch in front of the sun and my lips parted when it reflected different shades of blue and green.

The time read 6:42 PM. This thing already looks so old. It even lost its cover yet amazingly, it's still working just as fine.

"Woah! Where did you get that?" Yusuke beamed, placing his cup of coffee on his lap.

"Over there." I pointed the space behind us.

"Oh, really? That's cool!"

I thinned my lips and placed it back on my pocket.

"Say... what course will you take in college?" He asked, nudging the sands with the sole of his foot.

"I don't know. I don't wanna go to college."

I could see his brows raising through my peripheral vision, "why?"

"I just don't want to," I pouted. "It seems like I've been to school most of my life! I just wanna go back to where I could sleep the whole day."

"What? Like you were a baby?" he chuckled. "C'mon! That's ridiculous hahaha."

"It is, but that's what I want." I pooched my lips, sipping a small amount of the strawberry mousse I bought.

"We're going to graduate next year, dummy! Set your goals straight."

I winced when he pinched my cheek which I immediately flicked away, "don't touch me, jerk!"

"Geez!" he rolled his eyes. "Let's head home now. It's getting dark."

Yusuke fixed his bag while I'm left with my jaw hanging, still looking at the setting sun.

"Seriously, Yukimura! We must get going," he hissed. "I can't walk you home, you know! I work at seven sharp and it's already 6:53."

"Alright! Alright! Calm down, Urameshi!" I chuckled and fixed my things as well before he arced and helped me up.

We were busy chatting along the road when a car with a full speed came running towards our direction and as if on a cue, Yusuke clutched my shoulder and drastically pushed me away from him.

The next thing happened very fast, yet every scene passed through my mind in slow motion. My eyes widened as I reached out my hand towards him, hoping I could hold even a strand of his hair but the force of me being pushed, kept me travelling farther.

"YUSUKEEEEE!" I screamed and for a moment, I heard that familiar tick and a dark haze devoured me into the same timepiece, erasing Yusuke in the frame.

Different scenes flashed before me again and seems like everything went in backwards just like what happened before. I gasped and before I knew it, I already found myself looking at the sunset.

"Seriously, Keiko, we must get going! I can't walk you home, you know! I still have work, seven sharp and it's already 6:53. You'll get me late!"

I cringed and immediately looked beside me, gasping.

"Y-Yusuke," I stuttered.

"What's with the look?!" he snorted.

For a moment, I could not speak. I only stared at him, wanting to cry but couldn't! I don't know if the moment a while ago is the imagination or this one! But he's okay, right? He's fine, right?

"Hey! I-I'm sorry. I didn't m-mean to raise my voice-you see..." his voice went softer and softer in each word he speaks.

I smiled and shook my head, "would you mind if we stay a little longer?"

He stared at me for a couple of second before uttering an exasperated sigh and sat back down. We spaced out for a moment until a car passed in a familiar full speed. From that very moment, I knew to myself... something strange is going on.

Yusuke walked me home despite of getting late in his part-time job.

"You will be okay now, right?" He asked, rolling his eyes, when we reached my house.

"Haha yeah! Sorry about this," I mooed.

"Whatever! Get inside now. I'll get going."

He turned against his heel and waived a hand in the air.

I sighed and immediately took the pocket watch out the moment I stepped inside my room.

"What the heck is this thing?" I mumbled as I placed it above my bed, keeping a close eye on its every tick.

"Tell me, you! Y-you... pocket... watch t-thing! You're the one who did all that, do you?"

I stared at it for a minute and a grimace crept on my face.

"HAHAHA!" I sarcastically laughed, slapping my forehead in disbelief.

"I think I finally lost it hahaha. How can such thing happen anyway? I-I mean... that's way too impossible."

I said, trying to convince myself but it just doesn't work because I know what I saw. My lips twitched, tapping my chin in obvious confusion.

"Everything started at the soccer field when Yusuke and we were playing, and I almost hit my head on the tubular frame..." I nodded. "And the next one was when he's supposed to get hit by a car. Therefore, time is altered when Yusuke and I are in verge of danger?" I grimaced.

"That can't be right!"

I don't know how many hours I've wasted staring at the watch and now, I'm already lying flat on my bed-brain dead. I really wanna know how this thing work! For some reason, I thought that it might help me-by turning back the time, that's it!

My brows raised when a thought hit me like a boulder, making me jump down my bed while holding the watch with my right hand.

The time turned back when I was in danger! Yusuke did pushed me a while ago to prevent me from getting hit by the car but with that force, my head will probably be slammed against the road. Putting my life in danger might be the key to travel back on time!

I looked outside my door to where the stairs are.

"Should I try if it works?" I immediately shook my head and stopped a bit.

"I'll die before I know it, but I have to tryyy!" I screamed, running towards the stairs and jumped without hesitation.

I closed my eyes and waited for the impact to crack my skull open but just as what I'm expecting, haze devoured me to nowhere and a smile curved on my lips when I found myself hovering through flashing scenes.

"I knew it!" I thundered, looking at the watch with its hands ticking backwards. "Now to stop this..." I looked around to see how far I have gone through and it looks like it was just a day before.

Knowing not exactly what to do, I decided to press the crown down and fortunately, everything went back to normal but I'm now inside the math class for the love of onion rings!

"Miss Yukimura?!"

I gasped when Mr. Midori called me out in a loud voice, "y-yes sir?"

"Why are you not in your school uniform and on top of that..." his eyes narrowed. "You're wearing night gown?!

My lips parted when I looked at myself, "what the-"

I looked at my classmates and they looked surprise more than I do.

"What is she thinking?!"

"How come no one realized she's only wearing that when she stepped in?"

"She's so weird!"

"Isn't she embarrassed?"

I bit my lip and shamefully covered my chest with my hands. Summer haven't ended yet so I'm wearing velvet nighty with a rabbit indoor slipper!

I could feel my cheeks heating in shame. I glanced from side to side and all of them were staring at me especially the guys. What the hell have I done?!

"There's only one way to escape this mess!" I mumbled and looked at the window. I'm at the third floor of the building so if I jump out, I'll be saved from this humiliation.

I was about to stand up when someone placed a coat on my shoulder, keeping my body from being exposed.

"Yusuke," I whispered but he didn't respond.

He's not even looking at me and was only helping me up.

"If you don't mind, Mr. Midori?" He asked.

Mr. Midori looks at me for a while and nodded. Yusuke bowed and then carefully dragged me outside the room without a word. Everything's in complete silence when we left even until we reached the corridor to where the lockers are and stopped in front of his.

He opened the door, took his P.E uniform out and handed it to me.

"What's that for?" I asked, and he cocked a brow.

"Seriously?! What were you thinking?!" He growled which had pouting.

"Why the hell are you shouting?!"

"WHY?!" he hissed. "AREN'T YOU SEEING YOURSELF?!"

"I HAVE EYES AND I'M NOT BLIND SO-"

"THEN WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU UP TO?!"

"I-" I paused, not knowing what to say. "Actually..."

"Geez! Just wear this!"

"OKAY! I WILL!" I snorted, snatching the clothes from him.

I went to the comfort right away not to wear them but to jump off the window. Hazes formed and took me inside the timepiece. I traveled the day before that humiliation happened and now I'm alone in the rooftop.

"1:02 PM," I read the time. "It's lunch time."

I looked at myself and arced a brow because I'm still wearing the same night gown. Good thing I had Yusuke's coat with me, so I used it to cover myself.

"Keiko!"

I gasped when I heard the devil's voice coming my direction. I looked at the stairs and was taken aback when I saw Yusuke's blonde hair from the entrance! I can't let him see me like this for the second time around so before he could, I've already jumped from the rooftop and was devoured by hazes again.

"Maybe I should travel in forwards this time."

I held the watch's crown to see if it works and it did. Scenes flashed before me in forwards until they are no longer familiar, so I decided to release the latch.

I looked around the familiar place, "I'm at the seashore, aren't I?"

"LOVE!"

My eyes grew in circles when I heard that familiar voice, shouting. I turned around and clutched my chest when I saw Yusuke with a bouquet of roses in hand! I stared at him for a moment before turning around to see if there's someone behind me, but no one was and what caught my attention is the ring on my finger.

"N-no! This can't be." I groaned and immediately ran away.

"LOVE! WHERE ARE YOU GOING?! COME BACK!" he shouted, and I closed my eyes to keep myself from looking back.

By the sound of his voice, I could tell that he's chasing me.

"How on earth did I end up marrying you?!" I moaned as I glanced back. "I have to do something!"

I pulled random shirts when I ran through a line of hanged clothes and immediately wore them before jumping off a nearby cliff. Hazes formed, taking me back to the timepiece and the next thing I know is that I'm already inside my room, staring at the pocket watch. I gasped when I remembered this setting, so I immediately went to check the date.

"I'm back." I muttered, staring at the calendar.

I sighed and laid on my bed, chuckling. "I went through a lot in just a matter of seconds. I'll call it a day then."

I glanced at my finger where the ring was and it's not there anymore. "I have to do something to not to end up marrying you." I whispered.

I woke up earlier than usual the other day and I found my mom preparing breakfast.

"Good morning, darling," she greeted with a wide smile.

"Good morning, mom," I greeted back.

For the first time in a decade, we ate breakfast together. I felt so warm and comforted whenever she's around. I wanted to tell her about my time traveling thing but... I chose to keep it to myself.

I was only staring at the pocket watch when mom stood in front of me.

"Are you okay? You seem to look a bit pale," she asked in a worried voice.

I placed the back of my hand on my forehead, "I think I caught a cold."

"Hmm... just skip school for today. I don't want you overworking yourself."

"Okay, mom." I smiled and just like what she said, I stayed home.

I wanted to travel in time but the thought of overusing it stopped me, so I ended up doing some research and eventually found Feynman's "antimatter".

"It can retrograde in time and move from future to past," my forehead creased as I read the first article I opened from the browser. "But I can move from future to past and vice versa. This doesn't make any sense to me at all!"

I uttered an exhausted sigh as I read the last paragraph, "schrodinger's cat?" I muttered. "A scenario presents a cat sealed inside a box that may be simultaneously both alive and dead. When the box opens, the cat can only be in two states, dead or alive..." my lips parted, "now I'm so lost! UGH!"

I drastically took the watch beside me and closely looked at it. As much as I wanted to answer this mystery, but then I still have something more important to do and that's stopping myself from marrying Yusuke!

"My goodness!" I gasped when my phone beeped and to my horror, I saw Yusuke's name flashing on the screen of my phone and for some reason, I panicked.

"No wah on earth will I pick up that call!" I thundered, throwing my phone inside the drawer.

"ANSWER MY CALL, IDIOT! I KNOW YOU'RE INSIDE!"

And for a moment, I felt like my chest exploded when I heard his voice echoed from our shallow garden. I slowly leaned at the wall and carefully peeked outside the open window and groaned when something came in contact with my forehead.

"WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU?" I yelled, revealing myself to him.

My eyes squinted when I saw balls of crumpled paper on his hand just like the one he just threw at me.

"Try sneaking away, ah? Open this door now!" He marked.

"And why would I do that?" I snorted.

"Because I'll break it if you won't," his eyes narrowed. "And I already had your mom's consent in that matter."

My lips thinned in grimness. I just can't argue with him when he talks about mom. She treats her as her own son and sees him as my protector and to sum things up, mom wants him to be my future man.

I scratched my forehead in annoyance as I walked down the stairs and opened the door.

"Thank you very much," he said in obvious sarcasm and then went in, carrying two paper bags. "I bought your favorite cup noodles but this ain't good for someone who's sick, so I bought this as well."

I only eyed him from the door as he took the groceries out of those paper bags.

"You're gonna make pumpkin soup?" I asked, closing the door and walked towards the kitchen where he's at.

"Good guess."

"I can see the pumpkin lol," I rolled my eyes and sat at the counter, watching him prepare the ingredients.

"What do you think you're doing here anyway? You have classes, you know."

"We!" he corrected. "I already talked to the professor. I'm doing great in class though, so he let me skip the day."

"For me? Aww that's so sweet of you, Urameshi."

He stopped and looked at me, "I'm only doing this because I promised your dad that I would take care of you and your mom."

I twitched my lips and averted my gaze, "promised your dad, my foot!" I whispered.

We spaced out for a moment, but I felt like the tension from his stares only gets heavier each passing minute.

"You're acting weird lately," he mumbled.

"M-me? It's you who's acting weird." I snorted, trying to shift the blame.

"How? By taking good care of you? I'm always doing this all the time and you still find it weird?" he frowned and bit his lip, but then he shrugged and drew a deep sigh.

Basing the way how that sigh sounds, I know he's up to something and I'm afraid he's going to tell me things I don't want to hear.

"I have something to tell you," his voice went low into a serious tone, making my heart beat a few ticks faster. His gaze sharpened; I could feel it digging through my chest.

"I love-"

Before he could even finish, my feet had already taken me away from him. Wearing the same night gown, I forced myself out the house, setting off at an even faster pace.

I took the watch out of my pocket as I heard a rushing car approaching my way. Haze dimmed everything, and the timepiece took me a minute before Yususke arrived.

"ANSWER MY CALL, IDIOT! I KNOW YOU'RE INSIDE!"

My twisted mouth thinned when I heard the same words a while ago. I didn't bother peeking to check him and chose to lay down the bed, wearing my earphones on so I won't hear him whining outside.

"WHAT THE-" I gasped when thuds over sounded the music I'm playing, and my mouth parted when I saw him in front of me with a furious look plastered on his face. "HOW ON EARTH DID YOU GET IN?!" I growled.

"I BROKE YOUR DOOR!" He growled back. "AND I ALREADY HAD YOUR MOM'S CONSENT IN THAT MATTER!"

I grinded my teeth in gloom.

"Come down! I'm making you pumpkin so-"

I didn't let him finish and already had my way towards the window, hoping it'll take me days before this day but the flashed scenes went even slower than the last time and I was only brought back at the same scenario.

"ANSWER MY CALL, IDIOT! I KNOW YOU'RE INSIDE!"

"My goodness!" I hissed and clutched the latch but before I could even travel back, Yusuke was already in front of me.

He's about to say something when I raised a finger to stop him, "I know. Let's head downstairs so you can cook a pumpkin soup."

"Eh? How did you-"

"MAGIC," I walked pass by him without any other word and sat on the counter.

My eyes narrowed as I watched him preparing the ingredients of the pumpkin soup. He might have felt my skeptic look and ended up slamming the last thing he took out from the paper bag.

"What's with the look, really?!" He snorted, and I crossed my arms.

"Can we have a deal?" I asked, sternly.

"What?"

"To never say a word until you leave. The loser one will have to give up its allowance for the whole semester."

His brows raised in obvious confusion, "what did you have for breakfast?"

"Nothing."

"That made sense."

I grimaced, "so? Do we have a deal?"

"Whatever!" He hissed and turned to his heel.

Just as planned, he never let a word slip out his mouth even when we were eating. He never even looked at me and only pinned his eyes on the soup.

Yusuke and I were already best friends since we were kids and I don't want that friendship to be ruined by some useless puppy love! I'm even older than him. Having relationship with such is not my ideal! Best friends must stay as best friends. Nothing more, nothing less.

I gasped and almost choked when he looked at me with a cocked brow. I don't want to look weird, so I tried meeting his eyes for a moment before looking away. At least, I stopped the confession. It will be hard next time, however, avoiding him will be a good plan.

He's the one who washed the dishes and even cleaned the house before leaving without a word. He didn't even wave me goodbye. He just left as if no one's around.

"Wooh! That was insane," I soughed as I sat down my bed.

I noticed my phone beeping, so I checked it out and saw a message from Yusuke.

"I don't have any idea what kind of act you just pulled. Just take care though and by the way, I already fixed the door. Don't tell your mom I came hahaha."

My lips twitched in visible rage, "so, she didn't know! Yusuke, you idiot!" I groaned, tossing my phone out of my sight. "Man, that was exhausting!" I took the watch out. "Should I try you out again?"

I stood up straight in the center of my room. I know this thing can do more than this. I just have to master it, "starting from traveling without putting myself in harm. Will it do?"

I clutched the latch, hoping it'll work out with my expectations but it didn't so like the usual, I traded my life and intentionally ran across a moving car outside which shockingly took me years in the future where I can see nothing but white and black patches.

"Where am I?" I asked, gasping, until all of the sudden, everything went clear and to my surprise, I saw Yusuke standing a few steps away from where I am. We're at the soccer field.

"I've always meaning to tell you this!"

THIS IS BAD!

"No, stop!" I gasped.

"No! You've always been stopping me whenever I wanna say this!"

"YUSUKE URAMESHI! I'm warning y-"

"I LOVE YOU!"

I bit my lip and immediately ran towards the school rooftop but before I could jump, I already found myself inside the timepiece and without further notice, I was taken back at the same scene, but the odds made me stop at one pace.

My lips parted as I watched another version of myself talking to the same Yusuke I was talking to a while ago. I don't know how many times I watched her running away from him and popping back again at the same place-same setting!

"What the hell is going on?!" I wheezed.

My breaths went deeper and deeper as the nth version of me ran back to the rooftop. The same scene kept on repeating until I got sick of it and followed the last one and stopped her before she could jump.

Her eyes grew in circles after seeing me but what I saw in her eyes isn't confusion but rage.

"WHAT ON EARTH ARE YOU DOING HERE?!" She bawled, taking me aback.

"I-I'm you from the p-present. I-I don't know," I answered, stuttering.

Her eyes wobbled, shaking her head.

"NO! Y-YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO BE HERE! W-WE'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO MEET!" Her voice went louder. I could see her fists clenching and tears started misting her eyes.

"B-but why?!"

"Y-YOU!" she pointed me. "YOU RUINED EVERYTHING!" Tears kept on crawling down her cheeks. "YOU KNOW YOU LOVE HIM SO WHY?! I WAS STUCK IN THIS TIME LOOP BECAUSE OF YOU AND NOW YOU DO THIS?!"

Lump formed on my throat when she showed me the broken watch she's holding and cringed when she threw it on me, "you defied the laws of nature and now, it's getting out of hand!" She said through gritted teeth."

"R-remember Schrodinger's cat? A scenario presents a cat sealed inside a box that may be simultaneously both alive and dead. When the box opens, the cat can only be in two states, dead or alive. Similarly, there will be no two "Keiko" on a quantum plane! Because of observation, the quantum state exists and now that we've observed each other, this abnormal state will collapse erasing us from the memories of those who know us and when that happens, both you and me will now seize to exist!"

I felt a lump forming on my throat as I looked at my other self, disappearing into thin air.

"Congratulations! You did it. Now he will never be after you ever again. No one will!"

"N-no, wait!" I was about to run after her when she shook her head and smiled.

"Please watch over him." She mouthed and before I knew it, she's already gone, leaving me dumbfounded. I stayed still for a couple of minutes until I was snapped back into reality and looked back to where Yusuke was but he's no longer there.

I ran back there as fast as I could.

"YUSUKEEEE!" I screamed, hoping he'd show up but he didn't, so I tried searching for him everywhere. I even asked the people I know but no one answered me because none of them recognized me!

"YOU KNOW YOU LOVE HIM SO WHY?!"

I bit my lip when I remembered what my other self said a while ago just then, memories from very moment I met Yusuke flashed in my mind: his smile, his smirk, his laugh; the way he tease me, the way he cares for me; his efforts for staying up the whole night when I'm sick and mom's not around, his gentle hands when caressing my forehead, his warm playful hugs; the way he protects me and put me before himself-everything!

I clutched my chest in twinging pain and find refuge from the nearest wall. My hands are starting to fade just like what happened to the other me. Tears started flooding down my cheeks and so I covered my face and cried my heart out.

What have I done?!

I don't know how long time have passed until I felt a pair of arms crept around me.

I recognize this warmth-this smell!

I opened my eyes and yes, I wasn't mistaken!

"Stop crying now," he whispered, digging his face behind my back. "Y-you know how much I hate seeing you like t-this."

His voice is breaking, and I could feel warm liquids wetting my back.

"H-how can you still remember me?" I stuttered. "H-how did you know?"

"You were my strength and weakness at the same time: my happiness, my poison and cure! Now tell me, how can I forget you?" His hug went tight.

"You were my everything, Keiko."

The warm of his breath lingered through my ears as he slowly loosen his embrace.

He looked at me and gently leaned forward and planted a kiss on my forehead.

"I will find you no matter where you are," he whispered.

"I..." I trailed off as I watched him slowly becoming a bubble of popping memories. "I'll wait for you."

"I..." I read his mouth. Everything fell into deep silence as I was hearing the ticking of the clock.

"...love..." but before he could finish, dark haze already swept him away from me.

"I love you, too."

I whispered and closed my eyes.

"Time is directly parallel with our memories. When we change something in the past, memories are altered so never ever mess with time, okay, children? Live a life you will always remember. THE END."

"What? Noooooo! We want morreeeee!"

"But children, that's the end."

"Ma'am? I have a question."

Dianne, one of my students, raised a hand.

"Yes, please?"

"What happened to Keiko and Yusuke? Did they live happily ever after?"

"Hmm..." I tapped my chin. "Yes, they did. And according to the story, they had twin daughters."

"Wow!" The children applauded.

"I have another question, ma'am!" Dianne asked again.

"Yes, Dianne?"

"If they lived happily ever after then Yusuke might have found her, right?" I nodded. "Then how?"

"Let me answer that."

I gasped and immediately looked back when I heard my husband's voice. He's smiling from ear to ear and slowly walked beside me.

"Good morning, sir!" The children greeted politely.

"Good morning, children." He greeted back and looked at Dianne. "Do you really want to know, little one?"

Dianne smiled and nodded in excitement.

"Yusuke found his beloved because he never stopped looking for a way to find her. He even crossed different timepiece and defied the law of nature himself, sacrificing his existence so he could follow the path Keiko is walking. Love is all about sacrifices. You'll understand when you're there."

My husband nuzzled her hair and she blushed.

"I will."

The bell rang and so the class ended, and the children left afterwards. I still had a lot of paper works to do so I stayed by with my husband.

"How's my lovely wife?" He beamed, and I shrugged.

"Here... still busy. You can go home now if you want to." I answered, too busy to even look at him.

"Nah! Let's go home together."

"I'll be fine. This might take me couple of hours. You might give up on me."

I gasped when I felt his arm wrapped around my waist from behind.

"I crossed a ton of timepieces and battled with time just to win you back against its grip for twelve years, Keiko. So, you what rights do you have to make me give up just for only couple of hours?!"

I chuckled, rolling my eyes. "Yeah! Yeah! Whatever, Urameshi. Just make sure the kids are doing fine, okay?"

He nodded, "of course!"

We went to the seashore we used to go to breath some fresh air and sat at our usual spot just like before.

"Hmm... wait for a bit, love. I'll be back in a minute."

I nodded and stood up to face the setting sun.

"LOVE!"

I gasped and turned around when he shouted. I cocked a brow when I saw him with a bouquet of roses in hand. My eyes batted when I remembered this scene from before.

"So, I'd still end up marrying you after all," I muttered.

Yusuke slowly walked towards my direction and stopped in front of me.

"Keiko Yukimura Urameshi?" He started which made me chuckle. "Thank you for being my wife. I love you so much!"

"Yusuke Urameshi?" I asked, copying him. "Thank you so much for everything up until now. I love you, too, so much!"

I closed my eyes as he leaned closer and kissed me passionately.

Suffering? Consequences? I did suffer within twelve years of being locked inside the dark but now, every pain is all worth it. If you will only believe and never lose hope, everything will turn out fine.
