REQUEST - Atlantis's and Oceanus's meeting
(Sorry if there's typing errors. I'm too lazy to edit it)
Atlantis's father swam out by the exit/entrance of the den glancing back at his son before he left. "Bye" Atlantis said to his father before he left. The larger deepwing nodded, before swimming out of the den.
----------------
There he was, the deepwing dragonet without a father, without a mother.. Where in the world did he go? It's been days..
He was alone, and it would probably stay that way if he didn't do anything about it..
That was alright though. Atlantis could still do what he wants without someone else being there. Like hunting alone, or drawing?
The deepwing swam around the Bright Trench market, closer to the Eternal bey. Maybe he should buy some slates for some drawing later, if he had money, or enter his name on the board of all the hunters in the Bright Trench? Hunting would be a good skill, since he had powers of both mind reading and aminus magic.
Atlantis has finally decided he would enter his name on the hunter list, as the deepwing swam along to the board, his tail swishing along the ocean water.
He went up to the board, with a large and rather tough looking deepwing leaning right on it. Atlantis didn't know what to think about this action.
He pulled out his claw, and scraped his name in the board, reading:
A T L A N T I S
The older deepwing scoffed silently, their mind saying something about; "Really.. A kid signing up to be a hunter? That sure is interesting". It didn't seem a positive thought, though, and Atlantis couldn't help but frowning internally.
The deepwing swam across the markets, studying the stalls. With some observing, it seemed as if the dragons at the market stalls would pay money to those who hunted fish for them. He could maybe use that money to buy slates..
Atlantis went to the nearest stall, that seemed as it was running out of Swordfish.
"Hello, I see that you are running out of Swordfish. I am a hunter. Can I be of assistance for a bit of pay?" Atlantis asked the dark indigo deepwing, with an extra jagged tooth showing out of its mouth.
The deepwing gave a grin. "Yes yes, of course. I've really needed a restock on this type of fish. Help would be appreciated" they said in a surprisingly friendly voice, besides their scary look.
Atlantis nodded, and swam away, venturing on his quest to hunt for Swordfish.
After a bit of swimming, the market became far away, smaller and smaller, and less visible. Atlantis stared using his mindreading to try to find stray, strange thoughts of any Swordfish. Though animals that were not as intelligent than dragons, they had a significant sound to their thoughts.
Atlantis kept searching for a while, until he found a couple of them, facing them with only his bare, sharp claws.
He wish he had brought a net to keep the Swordfish in, as it felt a bit awkward holding two or three whole Swordfish in his claws.
But then, he spotted something, or someone. A purple deepwing dragonet, around his age, looking around in the sand.
Atlantis was curious of how a deepwing was this close to the surface besides him, so he swam up to them.
The closer he got, he realized the dragonet was holding something a little shiny after looking in the sand.
'Interesting..' Atlantis mused.
"Hello, I see you found something in the sand" He said, glancing to see what the dragon had found through closer inspection.
The dragon jolted a bit, but then chuckled to herself. "Yeah! I found this amazing treasure! Isn't it so amazing!?- uhh-" the deepwing said, showing off her little trinket she had found. It seemed to be some sort of silver amulet.
"-Atlantis. It's Atlantis. And, yes, it does look rather nice." He replied, showing a bit more interest in this dragon.
"Atlantis, Atlantis.. That's quite a nice name! My name is Oceanus." Oceanus said, repeating Atlantis's name over and over again when she started her sentence.
"Oceanus is a nice name as well" Atlantis stated.
This dragon's mind was all over the place, with cheery thoughts. It lifted up Atlantis's mood a bit.
"Thank you!" Oceanus said cheerfully
"Ooh, whatup with the Swordfish? Are you a hunter?" She suddenly asked.
Atlantis nodded.
"Yes. I'm a new hunter. I caught these Swordfish for a market stand" He said, nudging his snout in the direction of the markets.
"Ooh, that's cool!"
Oceanus said, smiling.
