what bugs me about America is that it is the land of racism. we pretend there is no social hierarchy and that everyone gets along. police brutality is just a common thing, and is brushed away. there is racism everywhere, from all social classes, from all occupations, and from all ethnicities.

while people pretend that they don't racially stereotype and look down on others, there is racism everywhere. there are hypocrites everywhere. Most people are guilty of saying something socially unacceptable, whether it be public or private.

a black friend of mine was called a nigger and spat at by a hispanic boy after a heated discussion over some political view. we live in a weird area where there's very very rich and very very poor.

I've been with a asian friend of mine, and he bumped into a black man walking down the street. he made a racist comment about her eyes being to squinty to see properly.

a white boy in my English glass made a disgusting joke about hispanics, using the term "spic."

people everywhere are harassed. white people are stereotyped as well, but definitely not nearly as often.

but the media's focus should be racism in its purest form, and how it affects all and comes from all.
