November 6- 10

"They are fine. Jonas has been gifted a very special gift. Your grandparents have given him access to a long-forgotten library. He is learning what he will need to know plus more than he hopefully will never know."

Michelle and Russ walk up, "but we are also worried about Tori. Her pups are due anytime."

Cassie smiled, "She and her pups are fine. I shared her message with you. She stated they would be back in one week."

Frank, Michelle, and Russ walked away grumbling. Jules looked at her, "what are you not sharing?"

Cassie replied, "How about we take another trip into the Circle of Answers."

"Let me go get Sam."

"He won't be needed. It will be just the two of us. Since I will be going, we will return at the exact same time we left here. No one will even realize we are gone."

Cassie says something in a language that Jules cannot understand. A circle forms on the ground. Cassie grabs her hand and pulls Jules into the circle before she can agree or disagree.

When we stop moving, Jules looks around and notices they are standing on stairs. "Where are we?"

Tori appears, "It's great you're here, Cassie. I need your help since I cannot touch her."

"Tori? As in Frank's grandmother? We are at the hidden library that the letter told us about?"

"Yes, and where are Jonas and Vicky?" Cassie asked.

"Jonas is still absorbed in all those books in the library, and I had Vicky write and show the note in the mirror. I knew you could help her since you're a witch and midwife."

Jules looks between them, "Vicky's in labor?"

"Tori requesting me to come was when I realized what was happening. My question for the Circle of Answers was, 'Does Vicky need me? Your question was, 'What are you not sharing?'. I grabbed your hand and brought you with me. I figured you could touch Vicky, and she would instantly heal from childbirth."

Tori said, " You should go up the stairs to the second room on the right. That room has blankets and a crib. I figured that way, you would have a place to put the pups as they arrive."

They walk upstairs with Tori and go to the bedroom. They were all surprised to see Althrna instead of Vicky.  Cassie says, "why is Althena here? I have helped werewolves deliver but never in wolf form they were always in human form."

Jules looks at Cassie, "they only shift to wolf for multiples, but normally if more than two. They don't usually shift for twins. If Vicky was scared she would deliver alone, Althena might have  taken over because wolves don't need help with delivery.Though she would feel better with her mate." She looks at Tori, "Go get Jonas tell Cassie and I are here. Althena needs Lucan because she is in active labor."

Tori disappeared, "Althena do you mind if Cassie and I are here to help you?"

Cassie asked, "why would she mind?"

"Wolves can be territorial about their pups than their human side."

Cassie nods and ask, "I am here if you wish for my help. The choice is yours."

Before she can answer Lucan charges into the room. He growls when he sees Tori, Cassie and Jules by his mate. Jules replies and submits, "Alpha Lucan, we are here to help Luna Althena with her birthing. We will only help if you and your mate grant us permission." She links them, "both Luna Tori and Priestess Cassandra are midwives. My Elemental is healing. I can be here to heal her as soon as she gives birth. Plus, If you wish I can stay in this form or bring Ziena forward to give comfort to you. I know in my pack giving birth was filled with many family and female friends to support."

The two mates linked each other, Althena replies, "I wish for Ziena to be here giving me support. Tell Cassie once Lucan gives permission to take the pup and clean them off. Watch for them to shift to human form. Swaddle them up. Just don't touch until he gives approval."

"Cassie, Althna has requested me to shift and give her support. She also stated to tell you once Lucan gives permission to take the pup and clean them off. Watch for them to shift to human form. Diaper and swaddle them up. Just don't touch until he gives approval. He could attack."

"I understand."

Jules shifts to Ziena. She jumps on the bed in front of Althena while Lucan is curled up around her back. She tilts her neck to Lucan and links, "approach." She moves closer and Althena and Ziena noses touch.

When their nose touches, Althena links, "your touch lessened the pain."

"My element is healing." She lays beside her giving comfort.

Cassie stands beside the bed, "I see the front paw and nose of the pup." Within a few moments thr first puppy is out. Lucan leans down and licks the puppy clean. He nods at Cassie. She picks him up, and shows him to Athena and Ziena. Athena nuzzled and gives him a kiss."

Althena links both Lucan and Ziena, "this pup name is Matthew Cane Thompson"

Tori smiles, "what a strong name."

Althena looks at her, "you can hear our links?"

"I always have been able to since I am a spirit. I just do not eavesdrop, but with powerful emotions they still come through."

"Here comes the second one." Vicky pushes her second son into the world,

Lucan cleans this pup too. He nods to Cassie. She picks up and shows him to show his mother and Ziena. Althena nudges him with her nose and gives him a kiss. This one's name is Patrick Zane Thompson."

Lucan looks at the two pups, "I will never be able to tell them apart."

Althena smiles and replies, "their smells are different. Matthew has a Juniper smell. Patrick has a Cypress smell.

Siena touches Althena's nose and gasp. She links Lucan and Tori, "There is another pup in there. Something is wrong. Wait their are two. They are struggling  to survive. Tell Cassie they have to come out now if they won't survive."

Lucan growls at Siena. She uses her alpha tone to him and replies, "don't you growl at me. You need to get your mate to shift. Cassie knows human forms and will have to do an emergency C section to give those two pups a chance."

Lucan shifts and becomes Jonas, "Althena you need to shift. There are more pups and they are having problems. Cassie will have to preform an emergency C-section to try to save them."

Althena shakes her head no as she whimpers. Siena shifts to Jules. In the strongest alpha voice she commands, "ALTHENA SHIFT NOW SO WE CAN TRY TO SAVE THISE PUPS!"

Vicky is on the bed crying. Cassie reaches into her bag. "Lucan bring me that basin behind you. The. Put on some clothes." He hands her the basin and goes grab some clothes.

Cassie has a small bottle in her hand. She opens it and begins to pour it into the basin. The room has a strong tea and clove smell. Jules looks at Cassie, "what is that?"

"It is a natural disinfectant and before you ask this bottle is enchanted to never go empty." When the basin was held full she caps the bottle. She reaches in and grabs a couple more bottles and surgical equipment. She drops the equipment into the basin. She uncaps the two bottles and holds it to Vicky's nose, "Sniff this. This will numb you and make you feel no pain." She takes a sniff and immediate relaxes.

Jonas comes running in fully clothed and throws a sweater dress at Jules. "Is she ok?"

Cassie replies, "I am just starting the surgery." She pulls out a surgical knife from the basin. She waves her hand and the disinfect bottle opens. It floats above Vicky stomach and tilts to pour the liquid into her stomach.

Tori calls, "Jonas your sins need you. They are showing signs of shifting."

He looks at his mate and she links, "I will be fine. Cassie and Jules will guarantee that. Our sons need you now."

He kisses her forehead and goes to his sons. Cassie then starts cutting while Jules holds Vicky's hand. Cassie looks at Jules, "Let go of her hand. You are healing her as fast as I am try I g to cut her open."

Jules drops her hand. "I'm sorry."

Within moments she pulls out a baby,  "She is small and only about four and half pounds. She looks about four and half pounds. She seems to be a premier. She hands the baby to Jules and starts going after the second pup.

Jules looks at this golden hair pup in her arms. The pup started filling out and growing. As she watch this pup growing and felt it getting stronger, Cassie placed an identical pup in her other arm. They both started growing and getting stronger.  Vicky touched Jules, "Are my pups going to be ok?" When she touched Jules she instantly healed from the C-section. Jules was concentrating on making the pups developed. Soon the two pups were about three pounds heavier. When they got that large Jules set them by their mother. "Help your daughters shift to their human form. Your shift to human they were was not strong enough to shift now they are."

She looks at Cassie, "can you prepare them? I need to rest." without waiting for a reply she went into the hallway. Tori appeared beside her and guided her into the next room. She laid down on the bed and fell asleep.

She woke up a few hours later. She got up and took a shower. She saw a clean sweater dress, underwear and leggings. Quickly got dressed and left the room. She noticed that no one was in the birthing room, but the room had been cleaned. She headed to the steps and followed the scent of food.

She saw Vicky and Cassie were cooking a meal. "What are your doing? Vicky you just gave birth. You should be resting."

Cassie laughed, "when you touched her after she gave birth to the pups she was totally healed. The pups are all doing great. I have in my 162 years never seen such a gifted healer. Catherine and Natalie seem to be born 2 months premature while Matthew and Patrick seem to full terms pups. Right before our eyes in less than ten minutes your touch brought them to full term. Your gift is priceless to all. We just need to teach you to control it. You were out for four spirit world days."

Vicky sets the meal on the table, "Now dish yourself up a plate of spaghetti and meatballs. I have garlic sticks I am pulling out of the stove now. I made homemade cannolis with chocolate sauce for desert"

"Should we not wait for Jonas?"

"He knows my rules, "He was told dinner would be ready at 5:30pm and he is not here. He will eat it  when he gets here." She set the sticks on the table and dished up her meal.

"Where are the pups?"

"Gus has them on the hammock and is swinging.them."

"Who is Gus?"

"He is one of the ancient elementals. He is using his wind power to gently rock the hammock. If one of the pups get fussy he lets me know."

"Jonas?"

"He is reading the last of his assigned reading today. We will head home tomorrow. We will have to go back to Symposium and officially introduce the new alphas."

"Will it be Matthew Cane or do you plan to have Patrick Zane share the title?"

"We are keeping with tradition. The boys since identical twins / quads will be raised to share this title."

What about the girls? By the way what are their names?"

The first girl who smells like Cedar is Catherine Cass Thompson. The second girl which is her identical twin is Natalia Jule Thompson. Yes, their middle names are named after the ones who helped birth them and keep them alive."

"I am very honored I have a name sake. Thank you. I had taken an EMT warrior seminar and they went over childbirth which is why I knew about the shifting and giving birth. They were the first birth I was actively involved in. I was in the room to witness the birth in human form. The instructor told us about she wolves shifting during birth and when they do it. Though we do not usually come across that when fighting."

"I am glad you took at course. I admit I was surprised when Athena took control. It is the only time she had total control of me. When we return we will have Sondra and Edmond arrange a welcome to the world gathering. Then surprise the pack by announcing the birth of Matt, Pat, Cat and Nat. They will be surprised because no one knew it was quadruplets. I had shared a photo of the ultrasound with the pack. We all thought we were twins. Guess the boys hid the girls."

"What will the girls be if the boys are alphas?"

"They will be raised as alpha /Luna teaching too. We have other land that last year broke ground for a trade school for ones who do not wish to do warrior, college or top three training. That land we will gift to them to be the alpha of. They will have a choice if they wish to live there or join their mates at their packland."

As we eat Jonas walks in. He gives Vicky a kiss on her forehead, "I am sorry I am late. I finished the last mandatory reading. Though I do have dozens of books placed on a shelf for other reads that caught my attention. Quintin has said I will be back since no books can leave this house."

Jules was almost done eating when Gus appeared, "the pups are stirring. I think they are ready to be changed and fed."

Jules looked at Vicky who still had half her food left. "I can go do that. You finish eating.  Just tell me where the supplies are."

"Thank you Jules. The diaper bag is by the hammock."

Jules takes her last bite and stands to go take care of them. She walks into the kitchen and out the back door. She sees them laying in the hammock.  There is a blanket sitting on the swing. She grabs it and flips it up and it smoothly goes down on the floor. She grabs the diaper bag and kicks up Matthew whose eyes are wide open. "Hello Mathew." She picks him up and lays him on the blanket. She does that until all four are laying on the blanket. She then changes each one. 

She goes inside and sees Cassie preparing the bottles. "Go back outside. I will bring the bottles out in a few moments."

Jules goes outside and sees Gus blowing leaves above the pups. "Gus were you an elemental wolf?"

"It has been along time since someone used that word around me. I still get together once in a while with the others."

"Could you contact them and request they gather here after the pups go to bed for the night?"

"The group I belong with or the originals?"

"There were two other times the elementals were called together?"

"The first group of elementals were fire, water, earth and wind. They were powerful. The Moon Goddess had created them and they were the original alphas. They were the immortals."

"If they were immortals, where are they now?"

"You young pups are impatient. I will get there," he laughs, "They lived about five hundred years and were tired watching their friends live and die. They called the Goddess down. They explained how tired they were getting and how lonely it was for them. She had made us pack animals. She agreed to take away their immortality after they divided up the pack and created them into many packs. It took them about two hundred years to get the packs formed and they gradually faded away into a tale that became forgotten."

He looked at Jules, "time moved on and packs began to fight for supreme power. She wanted to bring back the elements again to stop the useless deaths between the packs. She saw how happy the original elements were in the garden. She brought back elementals from their bloodline."

"I did not know they had pups."

"The pups were not born immortal or with powers. They came along after they gave up their immortality. When she decided to bring them back through their descendants. She also decided to make it so that their mates would also have powers."

Cassie walked in carrying the bottles followed by Jonas and Vicky.

Gus said, "I will be back in a couple hours to finish my tale." He then disappeared.

Jonas picked up Matthew and gave him a bottle, "what tale was he sharing with you?"

"He was telling me about the first set of Elementals and said he would later share the second set of Elemental tales." Jules says as she picks up Natalie and takes a bottle from Cassie.

Vicky adds, "Gus,when he appeared, was telling that story. Jonas could not find that story in any of the books. I know tomorrow when we go home I plan to put it in writing and when I come back I will keep talking to him until I have the story. Will have it be made into a book to be added to this library." She then yawns as she picks up Patrick to feed.

Cassie says as she picks up Catherine, "let get them fed and I think it is time to call it a night for mom."

Once the babies were fed they carried the sleeping babies back inside to their crib they shared. Cassie and Jules said, "goodnight, see you in the morning."

They walked out of the room. Cassie turned toward her room, "I am also heading to bed. Don't stay up to late."

"Goodnight, Cassie," Jules went downstairs to sit on the porch. "Gus, I am back. I know it's only 8:12 and you said 9:00, but I am here whenever you're ready to come back. She stared out into the woods listening to various woodland creatures.

At 9:12 he appeared, "I am sorry I am late. I was busy making arrangements and it took a little longer than I thought it would."

Jules smiled, "it is fine. I was just communing with the forest  animals."

"I guess you do have some patience. Now where was I?"

"You had said the first set of immortals were happy in the garden. She decided to let their descendants and mates come into power."

" That is right. That is why I was late. I went and talked to the other Elementals.  Let me introduce Fire and her descendants."

Four ghost appeared before me. "The original Fire Elemental is Enya." She was five feet two inches tall with deep red hair. She smiled at Jules and nodded her head. These are her many great grandchildren later: Phoenix whose element was fire," Gus pointed to the man who was six feet eight inches tall with brown hair.  "The man beside him is Jolt, whose element is electricity," he pointed to a man who was five feet eleven with blonde hair. "Last person is Justene, but I cannot reveal her element. The Moon Goddess said it is imperative her power remains hidden at this time," he pointed to a female who looked like Rusty.

"Hello, does this mean that Finn, Frank and Rusty all descended. I guess Faye also is in their bloodline?"

"Yes, but so are your friends Edmund, Tonya, Conley  and Jonas descendants of Fire. As you said technologically Faye and Connor, but their powers descend from others."

"This is way cool. Am I going to meet my  bloodline?"

Gus laughs, "forget what I said about having patience."

Jules gives a smirky smile and shrugs her shoulders.

"Now, I will introduce the WATER ELEMENTALS." Three more ghosts appear. The original elemental is Brooke," she was six foot tall and had blue black hair and a spitting image of Jules in the face.

Jules gasp, "grandma?"

Gus smiles, "yes she is your grandmother, but not whom you get your power from. Her name is Brooke. Just like , River is your grandfather and Aspen is an Uncle."

"They both looked similar to my grandfather on my mom's side. I don't get my power from them?"

"No, healing comes from a different element."

Brooke waves her hand and the three ghosts become solid. Jules doesn't hesitate and runs to them and all three give her hugs. "It is ok, my child. Your parents still love and miss you very much. The Moon Goddess has admitted that she made a mistake. When she sent her messengers down to pair them they tagged the wrong couples together. She had to intervene and help them correct it."

"Messengers? I thought she did it."

"She does pair them, but uses messengers since there are now too many mated pairs to deliver her pairing in person. In the garden we  refer to them as messengers but the humans call them cupids. The only time she gets directly involved is when mistakes happen."

"Was I a mistake with Mitchell?"

"No, she needed that pairing to bring all the Elementals to one place. She has promised me that my granddaughter will get a second chance mate. We now have to fade back to ghosts. Gus will introduce the rest of them."

She gave them one more hard hug and soon her arms passed through them. She sniffed, "it was nice being connected to you." She turned toward Gus, "who is next?"

"Next is Wind." There were four ghosts who appeared. "This is my grandfather, August." He was over seven feet tall with grey hair. 

She looked at the second man and looked back at Gus. "It is obvious he is your twin."

"Yes, Russ is my twin brother. We are equally strong. We both control wind." He points to the man beside his brother. "Caden is a spirit talker and Aeon works with time." They are both our cousins. Jules looked at them. They were almost seven feet tall and had white blond hair. She looked at them and they all had grey eyes.

"I am trying to think of who has grey eyes."

"Their eyes will start to darken to grey when they use their power," replies August. "When they crossed over their eyes stayed the grey coloring."
He looked at Jules and smirked, "go ahead and ask."

"I am trying to be patient and wait." He looks at her, "you know I am waiting for you to show who I get my power from."

He laughed, "well next is Earth." Three ghosts appear. "Gene is the original and is mated to Brooke. However he is not whom you get your gift from."

"What? Then who the hell do I get my gift from and do not tell me to be patient again."

"Gene and Brooke will explain after I introduce the rest of Earth Elements."

"I am sorry for interrupting you."

"This is Bo and he also is one of your great grandfathers. Beside him is Gwendolyn, but she prefers to be called Gwen. She is actually one of Cassie's great grandmothers."

"I am honored to be meeting all of you, but I do wonder why."

Gene and Brooke step forward. She makes her mate and herself solid. They each gave her a hug. They go sit down and Gene pulls Jules onto his lap to hold her. He puts his arm around Brooke and pulls her close. "Remember how Gus stated we all faded back into a forgotten memory?" Jules just nods her head yes and is enjoying just being held by her grandfather. "When we all faded away there was one thing we did not know. Brooke was pregnant. When we arrived at the garden we discovered it. When in the garden we also discovered we had our power's back.  She gave birth to a beautiful girl. She was born with powers. She became a fifth element. We were busy raising her and enjoying the gardens with friends and family when the war broke out between the packs.  Selina brought back the elements. They fought and brought back control. Selina decided to bring back the elements again when she came to earth and saw the false teaching."

Brooke takes over, "She feels Skye, who is now an adult, puts her in charge of the fifth element. It is Sky and space. She asked Selina if her friends she made here could have powers. She told her what powers she wanted them to be trained with. Selena granted it. This will be their first major mission."

"Skye was born with powers because you were pregnant while having power. Does that mean the pups will have powers too?"

"We do not know. Well it is getting late."

"You haven't told me about the war."

"Your tired little one. Let us all just enjoy the quiet. Jules fell asleep in her grandfather's arms.

The next morning she woke up in her bed. She jumped up and ran downstairs. She saw Cassie, Jonas and Vicky in the kitchen eating breakfast. Vicky says, "your breakfast is in the microwave. Just needs to be heated."

"Thank you. Is Gus outside with the pups?"

"Yes, they are be..."

"Thanks. I will be right back." She takes off toward the door, "Gus???"

She slides to a stop when he shushes her, "just got them to sleep."

"Wanted to ask you something. That I woke up with a brilliant idea. It would help Cassie and she can stop searching for people to assist us in mastering our skills."

"Slow down child, what did you think of?"

"Would the elements and friends be willing to come out of retirement and train us current elements in our power?"

"We were wondering when or if you would think of that solution."

"Yes, Aeon, if you remember he is element of time, informed us if we would train you would be ready to stop the false teaching within a year. If we did not it would be two to three years."

"Why did you not say anything to us?"

"We could not interfere. Remember you all have free will. We cannot do away with that. Not even The Moon Goddess can take away free will."

We did not ask for the elements but we were given them. Does that not interfere?"

"When you were called together she talked to each wolf in their dreams. Yes, even Mitchell. You all accepted them. There were a few who said no, so they continued on their way in life. Some remember the dream and others like you do not remember being asked."

"How do we hook up ghosts with us Elementals?"

He grinned, "you have to figure it out. Now go eat. You all will depart soon."
