Meanwhile outside the Bubble

Aneko, the tower master, made sure that the children wouldn't get more traumatized. The main reason why he made that bubble around them was not only to protect them from harm but also the information he would extract from the royal pain in the ass, aka. The crown prince. He needed to get answers since an attack towards the tower was unreasonable.

Within just a small amount of time, one could even say a snap of his fingers, this tower master managed to throw each and every soldier who pointed his sword at his neck backwards. They got sent flying towards their back and each of them hit the floor in a very painful manner. The impact was enough to knock these people out.

He wished to go easy on these fools who were as stupid as to come barging into a magic tower and follow a fool. Of course he knew about the cruelty which the crown prince was dealing with in his domain. There was nothing the head of the tower wouldn't know. Aneko made it his very own duty to know what was going on in the world. As such he knew about the silent war between the Underwoods and the crown. He even sent messengers offering help, yet the duke always refused any kind of help.

The moment they found the small little golden white dragon, he already had a feeling that she was connected to the Underwoods. However he needed some more information about it and so Aneko kept the dragons whereabouts and it's existence a secret. That was until he finally found the name out of the dragon child. She introduced herself as Vivi. Then there was also the fact that he got a request from the duke to find his grandchild Viviana. These two names were too close for it to be a coincidence and so after weeks of the dragon staying, he informed the old duke about the whereabouts of his grandchild. What Aneko didn't mention was that she was a dragon.

Today was the day the duke should finally arrive to have a look at the dragon.

It couldn't be a pure coincidence that the crown prince was actually attacking the tower on the same day that the duke should arrive!

"Tell me, why are you here?"

When Ankeo spoke, anger was radiating from him with each and every word. He considered the little dragon to be sacred and not only that but he knew for certain that she was too young to control her powers yet. Her dragon appearance was proof of that. Besides the fact that he heard what happened at the duchy to her. An assassin came and escaped and she vanished without any trace. Knowing that she was a dragon, he put one and one together and got the answer to the disappearance. Viviana for sure shifted into a dragon and got too scared so she fled.

"Why should I tell a worm like you!"

"A worm, you say?"

"Yes. Mages shouldn't even exist! You are the demons yourselves pestering and walking on this land!"

Now that was a hell of a statement. It was known to people that earlier when the ancient tribe was at its weakest they were burned and told to be demons. People couldn't understand them so they feared them. This resulted in them being outcasted and also thrown on a barren land. They were close to extinction but made it out alive thanks to a dragon's curiosity and kindness.

Over time the land started to grow and people started migrating to this land. It was the same people who made them run away and hide their abilities. This was the reason why the ancient tribe decided to build a tower and hide themselves from these people. They knew that mankind would never change and they had just experienced too much to trust just anyone.

"I see... it seems our king is one of these guys."

"These guys?"

"Yes, dimwitted and a sorry excuse for living a luxurious life."

"How dare you say that."

"You think I am a demon?"

"Hah, no one should possess such powers except the crown!"

"And what is the crown in your thoughts?"

"A power greater than good. We are here to lead the people to a better life. One without beats, demons or anything else like that! We are the absolute ruler and no one should disobey us!"

"So you say you are above god?"

"We are simply better! Our blood is not mixed with any filthy being nor infected with anything like yours!"

"Infected?"

The more Ankeo listened to the nonsense of this crown prince, the more he felt sorry for such a delusional child to even exist.That feeling, however, was only temporary since what came next was more than shocking.

"You all shouldn't even exist and deserve to be burned to ashes!"

This remark on it's own hit a weak nerve. Aneko knew their ancestors' stories as they were passed down and each and every child would learn them as an example not to trust any kind of people. They were all self-centered and would try to do anything to gain power or their goals. In fact humans would even go so far as to abandon their own family to gain anything. The crown prince was no expedition to that. After all he was the one who killed his siblings and his very own mother. No one dared to speak about that and the kind made every evidence and rumor be get rid of before they could even appear.

"Did the thought ever occur to you that we are not any different from you?"

"Of course you are different! How can such a lowly swine dare to compare himself to the crown prince!"

"Did you ever face any hardship, Oh dear CROWN PRINCE!"

The last two words were not only laced with poison and malice but they were also somewhat meant to provoke the kid in front of him to talk.

"HARDSHIP?! PFFFF-HAHAHAHAHAHAHA"

"What's so funny?"

"I am one of the chosen ones! We do not need any hardship!"

"Oh!"

"Indeed. Bath in the glory of yours truly!"

"Yet yours truly failed today."

"FAILED?! There is nothing like that!"

"Then what will you call this else?"

"A setback."

"A set back to what?"

"To my plans you fool!"

Little did this crown prince know that he was just playing Aneko in his hands. The tower master needed information about why his tower was attacked and why some of his people had to die. There was no reason for the crown to suspect them and yet they dared to attack the tower.

"Plans? All I see is childsplay!"

"Just you wait till I will have your head."

"Mine? Pfff-hahahahahahaha"

"YES YOURS AND EVERYONES ELSES HERE!"

"Then what?"

The crown prince was more than angry, shouting at the tower master but there was simply nothing he could do. The child was still too young to see that he was getting played and that all Aneko wanted was to make the kid talk. Of course there were other methods as well but this was the fastest method and he needed to get rid of the crown prince before the duke would arrive. Reasons behind this were quite simple. The duke himself would take up the crown prince and would start dealing with that little rude bastard himself. If that would be the case then Aneko wouldn't get the chance to avenge his fallen tribe members, the mages which stood by himself to face the crown prince. He wanted to make the kid feel real despair before his death.

"I will blame this all on the Underwoods! These rotten beasts would have no choice but to retaliate but the people of this empire are on my side."

"So it all came to that...."

"Of course! These bastards shouldn't be alive. They will be the reasons this land will be doomed."

"Doomed?"

"As long as they live, they will doom us all!"

"What are you talking about?"

"The oracle!"

"What oracle?"

"When all the dragons rise to the air, they will leave nothing but ashes behind! How can you not know that!"

"I never heard of such nonsense!"

"Nonesenes? How dare you call this nonsense!"

"What else shall I call that. They are all people! How can they rise?"

"How stupid can you be?"

"Then please enlighten me!"

"When the duke gets to power, this lands will be ruined."

"Power? HAH... "

"What?"

"The duke never had such intentions!"

"Oh really? Then how come he raised a dragon! He will come after the throne one day and doom us all. If we want to stop him, then we have to fight together!"

"Together?"

"Yes! Hand in hands."

"Thanks but no thanks. I will not join a lunatic like yourself."

"Do you want to doom us all?"

"What if you are wrong?"

"Wrong?"

"Yes, what if that oracle is wrong? Or misinterpreted? Wouldn't you doom us all if you did something foolish?"

"TSK! You are the idiots! How can I still talk to you?!"

"For a kid who has nowhere to run, you are quite bold."

"You can't kill me!"

"Can't? Oh you are mistaken."

"I am the crown prince! My father will have your head."

"Your father is powerless without any help."

Finally after such a long time, they found out why the duke was hated soo much and why there were assassins trying to get rid of the whole family. It was indeed something very foolish and he would have never guessed that it was just because something a person claimed to be an oracle. This must have come from the church! Now that Aneko knew what to do, he had to inform the duke and make sure that they would cut off the church's power and make sure that they would not plan anything else in the background anymore.

"STOP RIGHT THERE!"

Step by step the tower master began chanting a very powerful spell. It was an incantation to summon flames as hot as the dragon flames Vivi showed them earlier. Kinda a fitting punishment for someone who wanted to let all mages burn.\

"I SAID STOP THIS!"

Panic was all that the little prince could do right now but it was too late. No matter how much he would try to run, he wouldn't move away. Of course Aneko made a trap spell in order for his prey not to be able to run away at all. He wasn't dumb and he was also not one to underestimate his opponents.

"Have fun experiencing what my ancestors did thanks to your mindset."

"AAAHHHHHH!!!!!"

The moment the flames started eating his flash, the crown prince let out a painful scream but no one came to help him. Little by little the screams started to die out. It would feel like hours for the one burning up alive but in reality everything was over within 10 minutes since the flames were soo high to kill out everything and only leave ashes behind.
