The state of the tower was quite chaotic when we all arrived. I could see at the ground some soldiers entering the tower and they definitely were in numbers. If anyone asked me if the magicians had a chance to survive the attack, then I would say no since they all didn't want to die because of treason.

I should probably think more about what I was doing but was there really a time for that? I saw how many there were and Ilya was heading right where they were as well. If he would continue with his speed he would meet these soldiers and that would definitely be his doom. I couldn't have that at all not after I kinda got closer to the both of them. They helped me survive out here and teach me some useful stuff. It was only thanks to them that I was still alive.

Who knew how the world would have reacted if I would have simply just gone out of the forest?! I was sure I would be dead meat! I saw how they looked at the dukes family for not being normal than what about a full fledged dragon? Would the people accept something like that?

Personally.... I don't think so.

I hated to suspect the head butler Delca but then I remembered a very important part of the story. The two parties didn't contact each other via birds or magic or letters. In fact the duke was using a messenger fox which was trained for this and the magic tower on the other hand was using a squirrel. Both these animals were common around these areas and no one would suspect one in the middle of the night running around. However, what if someone indeed knows about this fact? What if they had someone intervene with this? Maybe the spy saw the squirrel or the fox with the small piece of paper. If that was true all they had to do was trace back the animal and they would know about the contact.

Let's worry about this later!

I am sure father and grandfather have the spy under control.

I should be able to create a way for Ilya and the wolves to come forward and take care of this for now....

"ROAAAARRRRR!"

After giving that signal, I dropped to the ground at a rather sharp angle and with a lot of speed before I pulled myself up again and was flying above their heads. Not only that but I somehow started to breathe fire which even surprised me. Like I was angry seeing them all be down there and marching in not caring about anything at all. They were all ready to kill the poor people inside which had nothing to do with everything. I just couldn't stand this thought and my body reacted to it.

"AAAAAHHHH"

"DRAGON!"

"RETREAT!"

"NO, WE HAVE TO ATTACK!"

"RETREAT YOU FOOL!"

I could hear their voices and they were all not in sync at all. One could tell that the soldier broke the formation in order to escape my wrath. I was just angry and I didn't have any control of my blood lust aura. It may not be as bad as back then in the ballroom but it was no less than any other demonic beast for sure. The only difference this time was that my opponents were all armed and ready to kill me. Not only that but they could deal with my aura. It probably was less powerful since I was focusing more on my fire breath.

The color of the flames were a light blue making this flame very dangerous to touch. No one should even dare to approach me at this point. However there were some of these people who definitely thought they could beat a young dragon like myself. Well that was definitely wrong. How could they think like that when I was bigger in size and even a lot more stronger. They were not even close enough to be able to compare my attack and defense power against their own.

"FIRE!"

"We need the mage!"

"Someone stop this dragon!"

"NO RUN!"

"RUN!"

I knew I should feel bad since I was literally killing people right here but ever after that day where I nearly died myself, that emotional part of my body was gone. Things were different here as it was the survival of the fittest and if I couldn't fight or protect myself then I would be definitely dead for sure.

Each time I came too close to a person, they tried to hurt me but not only was I having my dear fire breath as best friend and weapon but my scales were also way too hard to penetrate with this kind of sword. In the end, they broke off whenever they hit my body. Of course the soldiers immediately started panicking more.

A mage!

They definitely mentioned a mage earlier!

So they do have one traitor to the tower with them!

If that is ture.... Then I need to face the mage immediately.

The moment I hear them mention the mage, the flock of ravens as well as the pack of wolves finally arrived. They were ready to fight as well.

"RRROOOOOAAAAARRR!"

Eager to give them the last one signal to attack, I roared and put my every energy into it. This was the magic that I learned from Ilya once. He told me that I should be able to pull this one off as it was called "Domineering Roar". The trick behind this was to focus all the excessive mana into the scream, roar or even the voice to create pressure on the target.

I did as I was told and focused only on the solder to be included as targets. Thankfully I didn't fail this time. The last time I tried, I even made Illya feel the terror instead of just the tower master himself as he came over after Ilya told me the gist of the trick. For the record it was not my decision to train this roar on the tower master but he decided instead for me.

They should have quite the advantage now...

I'll still better have a look and stick around till these people are dealt with...

They are not allowed to escape... well they can not as if the dragon will survive or even stay around these parts after this.

I rather have the royal family not know about it but it can't be helped....

We can't kill all of them!

There are just too many people around.

The ravens did their part in unarming the soldiers. There were too many birds which started to attack the soldiers for them to just ignore them. Sharp claws came at the soldiers and a beak was aiming at their flesh. These creatures were definitely no joke for sure.

"SOMEONE DEAL WITH THE BIRDS!"

"WOLVES!"

"ELEMENTALS"

"STAY IN FORMATION!"

"THERE ARE TOO MANY!"

"I DON'T WANNA DIE!"

Then there were the wolves, running around, shifting into their elemental appearance and then launching themselves into the soldiers. Their sharp teeth managed to tear and pierce through the armor the soldiers had and wound them severely if not even rip their arm apart. I even saw some wolves tearing a complete human apart because of their reaction to them. Gruesome but these soldiers were also provoking this pack of wolves as well as they tried to harm them instead of simply running away. If there was one thing I learned then that these wolves wouldn't attack if they didn't feel threatened at all.

It was a pack of wolves which they had to deal with and each of these wolves were reacting and attacking differently. They however were a synchronized team which were not only attacking but also running and moving in sync.

Of course the other animals were also there attacking and doing their part of the damage as well.

Who said that an army could take down a beast if they couldn't even handle these animals but to be fair, I dealt enough damage before myself on them. So it was an easy game for the animals to deal the rest of the damage.

The moment I wanted to actually go find Ilya, I saw the kid riding the unicorn and making his way into the tower. Come to think about it, the unicorn was even the symbol of the magic tower... It was a useless piece of information but it kinda just came to my mind as I watched Ilya, the next tower master, ride the symbol of the tower. It was kinda fitting.

I watched him move away from the scene and decided to follow Ilya into the magic tower hoping that he knew the way to the tower master and that we were not too late for anything yet.

"RRROOOOAAAARR!"

One last roar escaped my mouth before I dove down to the ground, landing and swiping anyone around me away with my tail. Not only that but I used the flame around me protectively so that no one could enter the tower besides us. I was sure that none of the soldiers were that stupid. After all, they were quite busy dealing with the animals that resided in the forest and were protected by the magicians inside this tower.

Please let us not be too late!
