I was really sleeping soo nicely and the warmth of the sun felt amazing on my scales. It was just too comfortable to wake. The only thing that woke me up was my grumbling stomach and my hunger. This place was really nice. I didn't quite know where I was but it was just amazing to be around here. It felt soo peaceful as if this place was where I meant to be. Honestly I never felt this relaxed in my entire life.

"We are not allowed to be here!"

"Sshhh!"

"What?"

"I said shhhh!"

"Yeah but why? There are no monsters around here thanks to the protective dome sensei made."

"Still they could hear us."

"Oh...."

The faint voices of children could be heard and I was sure that they were not as close to me to be any kind of threat at all. Besides that I also didn't feel as if they would or could hurt me in contrast to that other man the night before who tried to kill me. Besides I was quite sure that kids couldn't hurt me as I was currently looking like a dragon. However there was no harm in scaring them away.

"ROOOOAAAAAARRRRRR!!!!"

I let out the best roar I could muster which in my ears even sounded a bit cute instead of threatening. I was still a child after all and if I had to compare it, then I would compare what I just did with a roaring tiger cub instead of an actual tiger. Sure it was a bit loud but it was high pitched and more cute than basically anything else.

This should be enough to scare them away.

I wonder what they were talking about when they mentioned a dome....

Is that something like a barrier?

Wait!

Shouldn't it be impossible for me to enter here if it was a protective barrier?

The more I thought about it the more weird it felt being here. There was definitely nothing threatening around here. This much was for sure. I did listen to my instincts and they would scream at me for staying here if there would be something. However I just felt calm and I was sure I could go back to sleep if not for my hunger.

"What was that, Ilya?"

"I don't know... but we can find out."

"NO!"

"What do you mean no!"

"You heard that scream! That was definitely a beast!"

"But it sounded young! So there shouldn't be anything about it."

"It is a freaking beast Ilya! The parents could be around too."

"Joshua, don't be such a scaredy cat! We came here to find some herbs for potion after all."

"Yes but this is a beast we are dealing with!"

Somewhat I felt as if the noises were starting to get closer and closer to me. Personally I would say, I had a screw loose at this point. Why? Well because I didn't feel threatened nor scared but more curious about the voices. I wanted to meet these people and I knew it could be dangerous but for some reason it didn't really come to me in reality. My brain was definitely screaming at me to get the heck out of there but I didn't budge at all.

I wonder how old the boys are....

Maybe they could help me....

They said something about potions...

WAIT!

Potions are only things wizards and magicians can do or even witches!

The magicians here were often called witches in the past and there is a magical tower...

I wanna scream right now...

The moment realization hit me, I knew where I was. The tower I saw earlier is the magic tower which had some infinity space magic to it. There was also a forest surrounding it which was filled with magic plants which are used for potion making. One thing about this place was special. No beast would come even close to it. I don't really remember the complete story but something about beast blood and the barrier and using sacrificing to keep the barrier up. When I say sacrifices then that means demonic beasts that have high demonic mana in them.

Funny how I could forget that and not realize where I was. It was soo stupidly painfully obvious that that tower right there was the magic tower!

Now that I knew that, everything looked different. I for once started to feel uneasy but still relaxed as if my body knew that no harm would come to me here. Though my brain was definitely ringing every single alarm bell there was. If it could, it probably also would have slapped me into my face so I would come back to my senses.

"Ilya, seriously! Let's go back."

"You can go back if you want."

These kids were coming closer and closer. They seemed curious but judging on their voices alone, I couldn't really say much about them besides that they were still kids like me. Sooner or later, well rather sooner, I will find out who they were and if something happened, I could simply fly way after all.

"Joshua, do you see that white and golden color right there?"

So I have gold as well?

I wonder how I do look like...

Maybe I should find a lake...

And also dive into it if it is cold water!

I should get back to my senses!

Damn it!

Why do I still think it is not dangerous to be here?

Do dragons think different?

In the end I could hear some rustling and the kids footsteps were coming closer and closer. By now I knew that I had quite the good eyesight as well as hearing. They must have been really far away for them to need about 15 minutes to come closer to me. I thought they were around 5 minutes away and not 15 at all. It didn't really surprise me after I just shifted into a dragon. Nothing could top that.

"Joshua...."

"I see it too...."

Finally after what felt like hours, they both got out to the small space I was in. Our eyes met and the kids were both stunned when they saw me. I was still laying there but carefully observing them. After all, I couldn't be so sure if they would attack me or not.

"A dragon... I thought they didn't exist..."

You are not the only one there....

"Do you think it will attack us?"

"Ilya.... It's a freaking dragon!"

"It's still a child like us!"

"It is a dragon!"

"Why are you panicking? Aren't they friendly towards wizards? Remember the stories and everything."

"I do but what if it attacks us? We are not allowed to fight it!"

Wait... so they can't hurt me?

Maybe they can help me then?

Both kids looked at each other and I could tell how clueless they were. None of them knew what to do at this moment. Not only that but one of them was panicking and the other one wwas trying to play it cool but I could literally smell how scared he was.

Ilya was someone with light violet colored hair. It was a bit long at one side but only the front bangs otherwise he had short hair. He also had bright green eyes. All in all he kinda reminded me of lavender.

Joshua on the other hand had brown hair which was really really short and orange colored eyes. It was totally different towards Illya but that guy seemed a lot more scared. He reminded me personally of a bear cub.

Anyways, I decided to stand up and walk towards them. That alone was enough for the both to turn around and run as fast as they could. They at least tried because Ilya kinda fell over and I grabbed him with my teeth very gently and pulled him up his knees. Of course I was careful only to grab the robe and not myself personally. The other kid was long gone at that point.

Now to make matters worse, my stomach decided to grumble again.

"Please don't eat me!"

Do I look like I would eat you?

"HMPF"

"So ahm... you won't eat me?"

As if me, looking away and then glaring at him was not enough of an answer. Of course I was not about to eat him and shook my head since I didn't know how to talk like a dragon. It's not as if a human could understand my roars or anything at all.

"I'll trust you...."

You better!

I am not gonna eat something skinny like you!

HAH!

Jokes aside... I am a human as well... well not right now but I am!

This child in front of me looked pretty scared but not as much as to just simply start running away. I mean I kinda could understand the kid. I was a dragon, something like a beast and no one saw a dragon like ever after that legend and now here I am.

As if this situation wasn't enough, my stomach started to grumble once again. It was embarrassing but I haven't eaten all day long and it was already noon for sure. The sun was high up in the sky and apparently I really needed that sleep. It felt good, nothing against that but sleeping this much was a bit unusual for me. I was drilled to get up before 8 from monday till friday and only on weekends I would sleep till either 9 or 10 but not more. Though here I was sleeping till something about 2 or 3 pm.

"Ahm...you must be really hungry... how about you come with me?"

I might have looked a bit more skeptical because he continued what he was saying.

"We wizards won't hurt you. We have a golden rule never to hurt any dragon we may come over."

My stomach grumbled even louder than last time and I really didn't think that that was even possible. It surprised even me and reluctantly I had to agree to go with this kid.

"If you want, I can also bring the food over... well I would have helped but still...."

I nodded in agreement. It was definitely safer for me that this kid would bring something over than me going to a tower filled with people. It seemed as if that was the same thing the kid was also thinking too. He was definitely a bit older than me in terms of the age of the body.

"Roar..."

A small roar escaped my lips as he came closer to me. It was not only a roar but more or a growling as well. I didn't need a kid touching me or thinking I was a beast at all. Some beast such as me had a mind and we knew what was going on. We could think after all.

"Sorry... you just looks soo beautiful... I should have asked if I could touch you first...."

"Hmpf"

"I am really sorry..."

"ILYA"

Right at that moment, a scream could be heard from behind the kid which made me jump back and get right into the air. I might be small and not that strong but I was quite fast or so I say myself. Within a short while, I made my way to the tree and laid down on the first branch.

"WAIT!"

I could see the kid who came closer to me but at the same time I could see another man, this time a fully grown up man coming towards Ilya. He was the one screaming his name earlier as well.

"Sensei!"

"Are you okay? Joshua just came running in saying something about a beast."

"Not a beast, but a dragon Sensei."

"A dragon?"
