I was soo excited but at the same time worried about the event. There was soo many things I had to prepare before the evening would even begin. Luckily for me Damian and Emilia were there for me. They both are really good people and I really enjoyed being with them the whole time. Even though I had to say that Emi was definitely on the stressed side. She had to prepare everything for me.

"You look stunning"

"Thanks, Diamond! Emi did wonders!"

"She sure did."

"Diamond, who is that beside you"

"That is Eliana. Come to think of it, you two have never met before"

"I would have loved to meet the princess earlier but I had some issues I had to attend to."

When she said issues, I immediately knew that it had something to do with my father. Then again she and Damian did look like knights more than servants. It was just how they were acting which made me think they were not servants. Sometimes Damian would act even really weird and wouldn't know what to do at all. It seemed almost as if he never had to deal with that before. Well it was Emi who basically corrected and helped Damian out. Now I had Eliana in front of me who bowed and it looked like a knight's bow instead of a servant's bow.

"Are you a knight too?"

"Too?"

"Knight?"

Both of them looked quite shocked when I said that.

"Diamond is a knight and you look like one too."

"Princess these two are-"

"I know, I know, they are my servants and here to protect me."

It surprised me that she didn't like them but was working here so in the end I couldn't help but ask.

"Ryan would always go hard on us knights no matter what and it is even to a point where we say it is completely ignorant and unreasonable."

"Yes! He is a neat pick and wants everything perfect which is fine but we are normal humans not a mixed breed. We are not as powerful and not as agile as him. It is hard to fight against him and train with him."

Based on what she just told me, I had a rough image of what she meant. Ryan was definitely someone who would inherit the title of Duke one day but while he is the heir to the duchy, he is also just someone who doesn't know how to deal with others. I mean he doesn't associate much with others at all besides the knight. Then again from what I know, Ryan loved the knights and the sword. He just wanted the best for them and I believe that he was training them personally because he saw something in them.

"But what if he does that because he likes you all?"

"Huh?"

"Well... I mean, my brother likes the sword and he likes the knight order under him. He would do anything to keep them going on. Besides I think brother saw something in you all to train you personally. Don't you think so too, Emi?"

"It certainly looks that way."

"Wait, so he likes us?"

"And I thought he hated us!"

"He might be bad at expressing himself but please won't you keep him company? The knight's order is all he has to himself."

I was kinda glad I could resolve the issue here before the festival started. Emi did a really good job doing my long hair and then I was wearing this beautiful dress I picked up earlier as well. Of course I had these stunning golden yellow earrings and necklace on as well. It was just perfect. Somewhat felt like too much but at the same time I looked pretty elegant and childish as well.

Since it was time to move, both of my escort servants started to show me the way to the fest room with all the family members and apparently also a lot of noble people of various ranks as well. I felt nervous when we got there.

Thank god no one announces names here.

I don't know what I would do if someone would do that.

It was crucial that I was all alone without Emi nor Eli or Diamond. They told me earlier they could only bring me to the room itself but were not allowed to get in due to the restriction. I knew that this was a high ranked event and the security was also pretty tight so nothing could happen at all. Well that is what I knew but not how I felt.

With all the eyes on me, I felt as if I was drowning in the air. It felt horrible but there was nothing I could do about it. These people were staring at me and I felt their malice. No one likes the duke's family. So no wonders that they would hate an additional member coming in. I would as well if it was me. I mean they are strong and powerful and no one could say anything against them. It was not something like losing your life was not on the menu if you would offend them. In fact that was exactly what was at stake. With fear comes anger and even jealousy and malice. This is why I could understand how the people felt but right now, I was one of the family members.

It was not as if I wanted to be here at all.

It was also not as if I had a choice.

From one side, I understood the people but on the other side, I could also understand the crazy people of the duchy. They just wanted to live in peace and needed the power to do so.

The moment I heard my name being called, I looked around and could see Alex running towards me. He was not alone though. Right next to him was Rosetta and then another guy, I haven't met yet.

"Brother, you look good dressed like that."

Rosetta looked at me for a long time and she was even glaring at me. I could immediately tell that she was forced to come over to apologize. Of course someone like her who thought she was above everyone else would not apologize at all. Whatever she was about to say was a play and I decided to play along with her in my very own way. I had enough of being treated just like another person besides you reap what you sow after all. It was her darn personality which made her like that and I would correct it.

Me: Thanks but no thanks. I don't need an insincere apology from a person like you.

That was all I said to her with a smile on my face before hugging my brother's arm and making the conversation focus on something else entirely.

"Brother, where is Ryan?"

"He will enter with father and sit right there."

I could hear her brother cry out at her but no one could stop the girl from throwing some grape juice all over me. I mean we were kids, we were not allowed to drink so they were serving grape juice and apple juice. I for myself had some apple juice while Rosetta had a glass of grape juice. The boy had brought some drinks over and it was Alex who handed me the apple juice over. Who would have thought that not even 15 minutes after I arrived, I would get my dress ruined.

"Hah...."

There was nothing I could say right now... I could just feel the anger slowly building up inside of me. This was really a bitchy move that I somewhat did expect but at the same not because there were soo many people with us.

"Vivi, are you okay?"

"...."

"Vivi?"

"Rosetta what was that supposed to do? Are you out of your mind? We came here because you made a mistake and should apologize".
