You woke up in your room, something came from under the door, it smelled sweet, like the first roses that bloomed in the spring season, you put on your hat and walked down to the dining room where a table full of pastries was laid out in a neat and organized fashion.

"Good morning Mister L/n." Peach said with a warm smile on her face as you walked into the dining room, smelling the warm smell as you sat down at the table.

"Good morning Princess..." you say looking at the food. "Did you make this?."

"I did, I enjoy baking, it's one of my hobbies that I do when I'm not giving orders to toads about the kingdom."

"Well, it looks really good..." you say, looking at the pastries on pink trays.

"Please help yourself!." She smiled seeing your eyes dart around the table, taking several different pastries.

As you took a big of a cinnamon roll you hear two people talking as the they entered the dining room.

"Another successful customer." The short one playful punched the other man's arm who smiled at him, however, both of them stopped when they saw You, sitting across from the princess.

"Who's this?." The one wearing red asked, looking over at Peach.

"This is Y/n L/n, a man who is lost and needs to find his way back to his world. Y/n, this is Mario and Luigi, two brothers who are also plumbers and heroes of the mushroom kingdom."

You get out of your chair and hold out your hands, Mario shook your left hand and Luigi shook your right hand. "Pleasure gentlemen." You give a nod as Peach handed you a warm cup of tea.

"So, what-a-is it you do Mr. L/n?." Luigi asked as he took a seat at the table, picking up a few pieces of toasts.

"I'm an inventor, I make things, I was on the middle of creating a machine that could send people through the fabric of time itself..." you take a sip of your tea. "Unfortunately, a neighbor of mine didn't like the remark I made about his wife and he destroyed my life's work."

"I'm so sorry." Mario looked over at you while getting some.

"Don't be, it was my mouth that lead to it being destroyed...and I may have killed the guy afterwards-"

"WHAT!?." Luigi fell out of his chair and got behind his brother, shaking like a leaf.

"I'm joking..." you lied, letting out a chuckle, you didn't know if the man was still alive after the wrench to the back of the head, but they didn't need to know about that.

"Oh." Luigi put a hand on his heart and sighed. "Good...please-a-don't do that again."

"I'll try not to." You slowly sip your tea again, setting it down on a coaster, you all began hearing footsteps as you glass began to shake, you heard a voice coming from down the steps.

"Yoshi!!!!!." It said.

"NO!." Peach, Mario and Luigi said at the same time, the toad guards tried to close the doors but whatever it was rammed through the doors, leaving a cartoonish outline behind itself.

"What is that?." You asked looking at the green skinned, orange shoe wearing beast that was eating every pastry on the table, Mario and Luigi were trying to pull it away.

"That is Yoshi..." Peach sighed standing next to you. "He's a dinosaur, Mario and Luigi found him in the forest and he followed them around so we let him stay here, and he eats everything in sight."

"I can tell..." you say as Yoshi's tongue wrapped around all the cinnamon rolls and ate them.

"Such an interesting animal..." you slowly walk up to Yoshi, who saw you and blinked, you slowly put a cinnamon roll up to his nose and he eats it, after he swallowed it, he smiled and licked your cheek.

"Yoshi :D!!!."

"He likes you!." Luigi chuckled as Yoshi kicked your cheek again, you patted the green dinosaur on the nose and smiled.

"It would appear so..." you feel something move around in your hat and lift it up, Thumper had woken up and saw Yoshi, naturally the rabbit freaked out and hopped onto the table.

"Who's your friend?." Mario looked at the rabbit who was hiding from the dinosaur.

"This is Thumper, I came across him in the forest, much like how you guys found Yoshi here-" you pointed at the Dino with your thumb before feeling a sharp pain, Yoshi had bitten your thumb. "OW!!!."

"Yoshi no, bad Yoshi!." Peach scolded the dinosaur who made a sad noise, letting go of your thumb.

"Yoshi :("

"It's alright Yoshi, no harm done." You pat his head and he smiled, licking your cheek again.

"Hey, you guys wanna play basketball?." Mario asked.

"Basketball?." You asked. "Never heard of it."

"It's a sport that we like to play." Luigi said as he grabbed your arm. "Come on, we'll show you how to play!."

"Alright-" you said before they dragged you outside, along with Yoshi who also wanted to play, Peach just smiled as she had toads clean up the mess Yoshi had made and walked off.

Timeskip...

After the game of basketball, you were tired and wanted to go to bed, you never spent that much energy doing anything that physical before.

"Good game." Mario patted your back.

"If you what we can play more tomorrow." Luigi said, you caught your breath and took a drink of water.

"I wouldn't mind it...but I'm very tired." You said, the two of them understood and walked off, you walked down a hallway to your room when you saw Peach talking with two other females, wearing different color dresses.

You went to go back to your room when you heard part of their conversation.

"So this guy..." the blue one said. "What's he about?."

"He's an inventor who's lost...I don't know how to say this, but I find him really interesting." She said, smiling.

"He seems like a nice guy." The one in the Orange looked at the princess who nodded.

"Yeah..." Peach replied, blushing a bit.

"Mario, Luigi and Donkey Kong too...a thousand troops of koopas couldn't keep me from you...Princess Peach, at the end of the line...I'll make you mine, oh, peaches, peaches, peaches, peaches, peaches, peaches, I love you...peaches, peaches, peaches, peaches, peaches, peaches, peaches, peaches..." he stopped when the light turned on, he turned around and saw you, standing there.

"Who are you?."

Before you could answer, you heard a voice behind you.

"Ahem!." Peach folded her arms, her sweet smile turned into glaring daggers.

"Peaches!." The thing in a cage said, slicking his hair back. "I'd knew you'd reconsider our love-" the princess shut off the lights and grabbed your hand, pulling you out of the room, her eyes looked angry.

"Never go into the room again..."

"Who was that?-"

"Nobody you need to worry about!-"

"But who was that-"

"I said nobody you need to worry about!!!." She shouted again, pinning you against the wall, her eyes went wide as she looked down.

"I'm sorry...but that is someone I don't want you even thinking about."

"Well, who is he?."

Peach sighed. "That is Bowser, he brought terror to all the kingdoms, he tried to marry me, Mario stopped him from doing so and he's been trapped in that cage, unable to escape...just don't go near him, okay?."

"Sure princess...I understand."

You see her smile. "Good."

Her face smiled again, looking into your eyes, she released you from the wall and sighed.

"Just please, for your safety, don't go near him...okay?."

"If that's what you want Princess, then I won't go near him."

She smiled and walked away, your eyes darted back to the room...you wanted to go in there again, but you knew Peach wouldn't be happy, you decided it was better to leave whatever was in the cage alone and respect the princess' wish.

You were looking at your journal trying to figure out how you were gonna get back home, if you ever could get back.

"Alright Thumper, here's the plan, we'll make a giant balloon that will be able to float us into the sky and send us home, thoughts?."

Thumper was falling asleep and he rested on a bench looking very cute, you sigh but smile and pick your rabbit up, carrying him inside.

"We'll discuss this tomorrow then."

As you were walking back to your room you bumped into a woman, nearly knocking her over, you grabbed her hand and pulled her up before she hit the ground, her single eye looking into yours.

"Why hello..." She smiled, looking into your eyes.

"Hello mam..." You helped her up, looking into her eye, she smiled.

"Thank you...my name is Rosalina." She extended a hand to you, which you shook.

"Y/n L/n, nice to meet you Rosalina."

"Oh, you're the lost traveler that Peach told me about."

"Indeed I am." You nodded. "So are you the one that's going to help me?."

"Of course, handsome..." she quickly blushed and looked away. "Sorry-"

"No, it's fine, you can call me that if you want." You said, smiling, your cheeks turning a little red.

Rosalina turned to look at you, saw your blush, and blushed harder.

"Alright...handsome." She giggled a bit and smiled, before Peach walked in.

"Ah, I see you two have finally met." She smiled. "And you can bring him home Rose?."

"I can..." Rosalina smiled, her eyes still on you.

"Wonderful!." Peach smiled, she looked and both you and Rosalina, seeing both of you blushing. "Is everything okay?."

"Splended-" You quickly say.

"Of course." Rosalina looked away.

"Well that's good, glad you two are bonding well." Peach smiled as she sipped a cup of tea. "Care for some tea?."

You, Peach and Rosalina began chatting, talking about various things that have happened in your lives, like how you got lost or how Bowser is still trying to marry Peach, you are pretty sure she can stomp him under her shoe now that he's the size of a bug but you continue to chat with them, all while Yoshi continued to eat everything that he could get his tongue around.
