Fengfeng POV

      Watching Meimei and (Y/n) work together has truly been a privilege to witness. Meimei brought (Y/n) out of his depressed shell and he taught her humility and true kindness. I am watching (Y/n)'s therapy session when I get a call from the research lab in China.

Fengfeng: *answers phone* Hello, Meimei's manager speaking.

(Y/n) POV

     Recovery has been slow, but with Meimei's constant presence, the pain has been bearable. She's been through every surgery, every physical therapy session, even just hanging out at lunch and nap time. This went on for five months and finally I got the all clear to participate in the final field day of the year. I arrive at the Cooking Room and am greeted by all the members, minus Jin of course.

Ranka: (Y/n)! *jumps on my face and licks me* We missed you so much! But, are you sure you can compete?

(Y/n): Of course! I've itching for some action.

Ranka: Well, alright then. First event is the foot race and yours truly will be participating.

(Y/n): Well then, what are we waiting for?!

Everyone: Yay!

     Ranka was able to win the foot race even though those chimpanzee's were cheating again. The chimps went on to win several of the other events, but the final event before the relay race is a physical full body wrestling match. Only one from each team may participate, I obviously step forward, but everyone else is concerned.

Jin: Dumb mammoth?

Ranka: (Y/n)?

Meimei: You just got out of the hospital, maybe you should take it easy this time.

     I then see a big African elephant enter one of the rings, my decision is made.

(Y/n): No can do boss. I gotta beat that elephant if we are to move on to the relay race.

Terano: Students! Take your places!

Meimei POV

     I watch (Y/n) enter the ring and prepare to cheer hard for him, I then look down and see Fengfeng unusually nervous.

Meimei: Fengfeng? Is something wrong?

Fengfeng: Oh, um... no nothing, just anxious for the match.

Meimei: I have faith in (Y/n), he can do this. I know he can.

Jin: It'll be tough, that's for sure.

Ranka: What do you mean?

Jin: African elephants, on average, are larger than woolly mammoths. But mammoths are slightly sturdier, but with (Y/n)'s injury this will be a challenge.

Ranka: It's okay, (Y/n) will win.

Meimei: No doubt.

Miyubi: *softly* Go, (Y/n).

(Y/n) POV

     I enter ring and stare down my opponent, he doesn't have as large of tusks as I do but their better suited for combat. This is going to be fun, the teacher calls for the match.

Terano: Combatants, ready yourselves!

     There are multiple rings with several combatants, gorilla vs bear, lion vs tiger, chimp vs boar and mammoth vs elephant.

(Y/n): Ready for a good bout?

Elephant: You won't even make it to round two wimp.

(Y/n): Challenge accepted.

3rd Person POV

     On the sidelines, the Cooking Club watches in anticipation.

Jin: Even I have to admit, seeing two juggernauts facing off is a sight to behold. The forces at work are colossal, enough to shatter ribs and shake ground.

Terano: Set! *fighters ready themselves* GO!

      The elephant, we'll name Jomo, and (Y/n) charge eachother on all fours and slam into eachother creating a shockwave, that blows the nearby crowd shield themselves from the blast. The two giants wrestle for control, pushing and shoving to force the other off balance. (Y/n) is trying but with his injury he doesn't have the same power output he used to, but that doesn't stop him, and it doesn't stop Jomo from capitalizing on it by focusing his attacks on (Y/n)'s right side. (Y/n) understands this though and keeps his right side protected, his tusks may be curved but their still plenty effective on defense. Jomo lifts his head and slams down on (Y/n)'s trying to get around his curved weaponry, (Y/n) though uses this to hook his tusks under his opponent and attempt to lift off his feet but because of his injured leg he can only manage to push Jomo off him and they're back at square one.

(A/N): End music here.

Meanwhile, Meimei is cheering on her best friend loudly, when she hears a familiar voice call her out.

????: Meimei!

Confused, she turns around and sees on older panda with a soft smile on her face.

Meimei: Mother?

Mom: Yes dear. It's time to go home.

Meimei: What? *realization* Fengfeng, is this what you were nervous about?

Fengfeng: *hangs head low in shame* Yes, you were just so happy and I didn't want to ruin that for you. I'm sorry.

Meimei: It's okay. I understand. Mother, why do I need to come home?

Mom: Other than I said so, but the research facility has found a suitable mate for you. it's time to return home.

Meimei: Eh?! But mom, I have my own friends and family here that need me!

Mom: Like who?

Meimei looks over at the Cooking Club, who now circle her in a defensive manner, she then looks over at (Y/n), who is now getting the upper hand on Jomo.

Meimei: This is my pack, my family.

Mom: Be that as it may, you are a panda and none of them are. Why would choose them over your own kind?

Meimei: These are kind and valiant animals, they see past our species boundaries and become stronger because they know the advantage to working together. I don't want to go back, now if you don't mind I've got a teammate to cheer on.

Meimei and the others sit back down and watch as (Y/n) gives it one last push and finally knock Jomo off his feet and onto the ground. (Y/n) then trumpets in victory as the entire Cooking Club cheers for him. Meimei runs out of the crowd and wraps her arms around his trunk as (Y/n) lifts her in the air and she then climbs onto his neck.

Ranka: Way to go, (Y/n)!

Meimei: I knew you could do it! Haha!

Jin: Let's not celebrate just yet. We still have the relay race to win, but nice job.

(Y/n): Ok, who are you and what have you done with Jin?

This got a laugh out of everyone and as (Y/n) carried Meimei to a fountain, he suddenly bucked his shoulders enough to toss Meimei onto his trunk and she slides down and splashes into the water of the fountain. Meimei is laughing the whole time. When she rises from the water she splashes (Y/n)'s face, he retaliates by filling his trunk with water and spray Meimei and completely soaks her. The two laugh for a moment and Meimei climbs out of the fountain and shakes herself dry, the pair cool off and then head back to get ready for the relay race and Ranka explains the plan.

Ranka: Ok, Jin and I looked over the map and the first leg is the three legged race and I have chosen (Y/n) and Jin to participate then pass it off to Yukari at arm wrestling. From there Yukari will tag Meimei and Hitomi at the two man obstacle course, Then Miyubi will need to do the swimming portion and tag me to run the last course, a marathon race through the forest to the finish line.

Everyone, more or less, agreed to the plan and (Y/n) and Jin get to the starting line, and for once Jin is scared for his life.

Terano: Ready! Set! ..GO!

(Y/n) takes off with Jin hanging on for dear life as they make their way down the lane.

Jin: *as he's swinging on (Y/n)'s leg* I'm gonna throw up! I'm gonna throw up! I'm gonna throw up!

The pair meet Yukari at the end of the line in third place and Yukari rushes to her opponent and wins her arm wrestle and passes it off to Meimei and Hitomi. Together, Meimei and Hitomi make through every obstacle and in second place they pass it off to Miyubi who starts swimming but makes it unsurprisingly in last place but Ranka made up for it as she made it through the forest and passed every other team and made it across the finish line to win first place. As everyone celebrated the Cooking Club's victory, (Y/n) wraps his trunk around the members of the Cooking Club happily laughing and hugging them.

(Y/n) POV

After the trophy ceremony ended, the Cooking Club are eating on a grassy hill to relax and relish their victory. Only Meimei is missing and I'm starting to wonder what could be taking her. I get up and start to look around the campus. I wandered to her dorm and knocked, I opened the door and see it's been freshly cleaned out, none of her stuff is here. Now I'm starting to worry, I make it through the crowds and make it to the front of the school and see Meimei with her manager and an older panda.

(Y/n): Meimei!

She looks at me and breaks down into tears and rushes to me, she wraps her arms around my trunk as I lift her up a little and return the hug.

Meimei: I'm sorry I didn't tell you but the research people told me I had to return. *sniffles*

(Y/n): You want to go with them?

Meimei: *depressed* I am a panda. I should probably be with a panda, don't you think?

(Y/n): Yeah, unless....

Meimei: *curious* Unless?

(Y/n): Unless I... I just wanna say... *as Meimei starts to grow a smile* I need to tell you-... *(Y/n) looks down sad* I hope you find everything you're looking for.

Meimei: *grows sad and smile fades* You too.

The rest of the Cooking Club arrives and saw the conversation unfold, and as Meimei walks away Fengfeng says goodbye to everyone. I stand there as Meimei walks to her mother I imagine and I look at my reflection in the marble stone path.

Ranka: *appears in reflection* (Y/n), you've come a long way since we met and I'll take full credit for that, but you need to let go of the past so you can have a future.

I look at Meimei putting her suitcase in the trunk of the car and back at the group.

Yukari: Go after her.

Miyubi: It's ok.

Hitomi: *touches (Y/n)'s tusk* We'll always be here for you.

(Y/n): I'll keep in touch.

Jin: Yeah, yeah. Y-You're a good friend. Point made. Now, go on. Scat.

I smile at my family and then go after Meimei.

Ranka: Our (Y/n) is growing up.

(Y/n): *as he runs* Meimei!

Meimei POV

(Y/n): Meimei!

As soon as I heard his voice my eyes widen with potential excitement as I push past the chaperones and mother.

Meimei: (Y/n)?!

I look around and initially don't see him, until he appears in front of me laying on a tractor tire, that's barely supporting him. I barely contain my laughter as he tells me.

(Y/n): Meimei, I thought we couldn't be together because we were too different to make it work, but I don't care anymore I want to be with you Meimei.

I stand there smiling barely keeping tears at bay, (Y/n) then asks.

(Y/n): What do you say?

Meimei: Oh, (Y/n) I thought-

Suddenly, the tire gave out and (Y/n) landed on the ground with a massive thud and just groans in embarrassment.

Meimei: *giggles* You're panda enough for me.

(Y/n) stands up and we touch each other's noses and he wrapped his trunk around my arm and I leaned against him as the school suddenly cheered for us but we just stay close to each other. I could almost hear the disgust from my mother but I didn't care, (Y/n) gently lifted me and Fengfeng onto his back, and I had nothing but an extremely happy smile on my face. We see the Cooking Club turn to walk inside and I look into (Y/n)'s eyes and we both nod and somehow sneak up on our family.

Jin: Fine, but I'm not gonna carry you.

Ranka: Aw, come on, Jin. For old times sake?

(Y/n): I'll carry her. *as he puts Ranka on his back*

Hitomi: But your pack is leaving?

(Y/n): We are now.

Jin: Great, just when I thought I finally got rid of you.

Everyone laughed as we all head inside and happily finish out the rest of the school day happy in each other's company. After classes, Meimei and I went to the secluded grove and just sat underneath the cherry blossom tree, with Meimei just munching on some bamboo while sitting in the curl of my trunk. Meimei then climbs up my face to look in my eyes and has a blush on her face.

Meimei: I-I love you, my little big mammoth.

(Y/n): I love you too, my little panda.

(A/N): Whoo Hoo! Uh, I mean, CUT! That is a wrap everyone thanks for your part and we'll see you all in the next script.
