Rosa doesn't remember much of her birth or childhood since it was so long ago. Things have changed, people have lived and died, there were more important things to remember. Throughout Rosa's life, she could always remember being a 'darker' individual. She hated having to conform to the laws set by the court, unable to give into her more natural urges and desires. Her retaliation and chaos was quickly noticed by the Unseelie. They stepped in and told Rosa about the purpose and goal of the Unseelie. She realized that these people were much like herself, despising the ways of the court and wanting things to change. It almost felt like home to her. Within a few years, Rosa showed her outstanding combat skills and rose through the ranks of army. Anyone who decided to voice their disapproval for her or doubt her abilities were only made into another name on her list of lives taken. Rosa was second in command for quite some time, but she didn't like the idea of having to answer to someone else so she took it upon herself to kill the warlord for the Unseelie before taking the position for herself. 

It's been countless number of years that Rosa has been the new Warlord, making a name for herself both inside and outside of Unseelie as the cold hearted, ruthless new leader of the army. To everyone outside of Unseelie, she is only known as Red. Majority of those who live outside of Unseelie assume the new Warlord is a man, not believing that the vile things done would have been capable of a woman. Rosa has kept her identity a secret outside of the Exiled Empire, allowing her to blend in with others around her. She knows that this will one day come as an advantage to her verses her enemies, along with her unknown of abilities.
