Despite his bad boy appearance, Dakota has a more timid and calming personality. He doesn't go out seeking fights or danger, but instead keeps to himself and takes it day by day. He generally can make anyone smile and loves the sound of laughter. He's amazing at studying people and noticing the small things that others wouldn't - like how you like your coffee, the way you bite your lip when you think, and other small details. He has a bad habit of making jokes and remarks in moments that don't exactly call for it. He can be a bit sarcastic at times and will call people out on their bullshit. Though he is naturally more relaxed and level-headed, the man still knows damn sure how to fight. His father had made sure of that by making him work out with the punching bag in the basement growing up.

Dakota has a habit of approval seeking behaviors when it comes to women in charge. The absence of his mother through his life and the constant surrounding of women in science left him with the urge to hear and have a women's approval. This behavior in the hormonal growing teen quickly morphed into a more lustful desire leaving Dakota with attraction to normally older women in positions of power. This has him usually quick to please any woman of that title, willing to do whatever they ask to hear that he pleased them in any way.

He is wickedly smart, able to hold long and complex conversations with those twice his age and double the amount of experience in him. Though he looks young, mentally he is far more mature. He doesn't have the interest of going to parties and sleeping with college girls like others his age. Instead, he would rather surround himself with the crisp air of a lab and the sound of test tubes clinking together.

Dakota is the eldest child of the Lambing household with one younger brother Duke. He was raised mostly by his father, a skillful mechanic, after his mother died of infection shortly after his little brother was born. Being raised in an all male household, Dakota learned all the skills of his father's trade, but always had a unique interest in science. Unlike other science geeks who were bullied throughout school, Dakota avoided all of that because of his looks. His long thick locks and beaming smile attracted numerous ladies through his school days, but the relationships wouldn't go anywhere when they lacked the ability to discuss things revolving his interest. 

Dakota has an exceptionally high IQ score. He jumped two grades in school which allowed him to graduate high school at the age of fifteen. Though he was young, he could carry on intrigued and elaborate conversations with those twice his age. He had read numerous scientific journals by the age of sixteen and would spend his free time deep within the web looking into the newest genres of research. He loved everything to do with science, but specifically was interested in cryo-sleep and gene splicing. His interests and research one day led him to a very vague and short description of the woman who was head of the science team at Hydro Incorporated... that and her picture. Dakota shortly after typed up a resume and shipped it off to Hydro. He didn't know much about the company, but to work in his dream field and under such a powerful, and attractive, woman was too much to turn down.

Within a week later he received an invitation to work at Hydro Incorporated. Before he knew much about what was being done at the company, he was required to sign a legal contract stating that if he spoke anything about the work being done at Hydro he would meet a consequence that they deemed 'fitting for his actions'. Blinded by his dream job luring in front of him, and the head scientist standing in the corner of the room, he signed away. Dakota now works directly under the head scientist as one of her five-man team. He doesn't have a negative opinion about what they do, he actually thinks that it is amazing and the head scientist is a genius. He does as she wishes without contest and secretly craves her attention.
