Obadiah was left on the doorstep of a lighthouse on a night with one of the worst storms in history. It was shocking to the lighthouse keeper that he hadn't been swept away by towering tides and crashing waves against the rocks. The old man took the baby to town hall where he was soon put into an adoption agency. By his second birthday, Obadiah was adopted by a couple and taken to live in Hawaii. Here he flourished with his love for surfing, the sun rays, and being near the water. Throughout his childhood, Obadiah didn't notice he was different. The only noticable change about him was that he was a natural born champion surfer. Obadiah would surf almost effortlessly, winning numerous titles and awards from competitions. It seemed almost impossible for him to wipe out or make a mistake. One day, when practicing, Obadiah purposly jumped off his board to take a swim. It was here, only six years old, that he realized he couldn't get wet. At first he was terrified, running to his fathers to show them. Neither of them understood, but they kept his secret, too freaked out on the idea of him being taken away after so many years of trying to have a child. Obadiah was taken out of competitions, his parents terrified of his ability being noticed. Instead he surfed at midnight when the ocean was empty. 

Within the town, an older woman took a liking to Obadiah, always offering his treats as he would pass by her shop. The woman was a close friend of many other demigods, somewhat of a look out for the next generation who had no one else to lead them. She started by telling him stories he thought were made up, but as he got older she connected the dots. She explained that with his age, he would be more noticable and he would be putting those he loved in danger if he stuck around. Obadiah thought the woman had gone crazy so he ignored her. Consequently, Obadiah quickly regretted this. Following the death of a dear friend who was caught in an attack, Obadiah heeded the woman's warnings and went to camp half-blood.

If you were to look for a physical description of a anti-hero who everyone comes to turn to when shit hits the fan, Obadiah would be the answer. In all appearance and physical aspects, he doesn't seem like someone who would injure himself to save you - yet, repeatedly, he finds himself jumping in front of danger for others after letting out a few groans and obsenities. Obadiah doesn't want to be who he is. He would much prefer to be a nobody who can disappear into the shadows and live his life with his hoodie up and head down at some table in a college classroom. Having powers and being the son of a god has brought him nothing more than headaches and hassles. Obadiah has a big-brother like personality. He will openly express his annoyance and aggitation, but will still help you when you ask. He's good at what he does, but doesn't outwardly flex or show off. He enjoys the simple things of life like surfing and window shopping with his friends. Because of who his father is, Obadiah feels a duty to others to help where he can. He doesn't go out of his way to be the hero but will step up when others need him. To his friends, Obadiah is comforting and warm. He can help you forget how much the world is a shit-hole and make you smile. He is quite respectful and calm, putting his friends and family before himself.

Supernatural speed, strength, and agility

➼ Perfect Bearings ; It is impossible for Obadiah to get lost. He naturally always known his North, South, East, and West with no landmarks or markings to aid him. Knows direction even with his vision restricted.

➼ Water Sourcing ; ability to manipulate water around him. Can pull water out of the things around him - cracks in the ground, drenched fabric, burst open containers holding water - and use them for his other abilities

➼ Water Propulsion ; can project water at high speeds and with strong velocities in any direction he chooses. Can project himself through water at high speeds as well.

➼ Water Immunity ; incapable of being harmed by water in any way. He does not get 'wet' by water, able to remain dry while water surrounds him.

➼ Underwater Breathing ; ability to breath naturally underwater. Can survive indefinatley in the water without needed to emerge for air.

➼ Water Manipulation ; Obadiah is capable of heating or cooling water to extreme temperatures. This also is impacted by his emotions - ex: anger causes mist and sadness causes frost. Can make water boiling hot or ice cold.

➼ Vitakinesis [limited] ; ability to heal through the use of water for wounds and posions

➼ Cryokinesis ; ability to manipulate and produce ice formations. Can summon hailstorms and blizzards. Unaffected by cold temperatures as well.

➼ Aquatic Sensation ; ability to track someone's movements or presence when in any body of water that he is also touching. When standing in the ocean, Obadiah can pinpoint extra how someone is moving, how far, what direction, and how fast.

𝐖𝐄𝐀𝐏𝐎𝐍𝐒

- Sai ; dual wielding weapon, similar shape to a trident with three prongs. Skilled in close combat and to be used as a projectile. Consealed as two leather bands around his wrists that when pulled on form into the leather wrapped handles of the Sai.
