Karai had snuck out of Shredder's lair for some fun when she came across Leonardo. They started off with their usual playful banter and a few flirts thrown in from time to time. Leo had managed to knock Karai weapon out of her hands and pin her against the wall 'I win.' he said smirking. Karai smirked back as an idea came to her, leaning in she lightly kissed the corner of his lips. Leo gasped as his face heated up, becoming as red as a tomato, he was so flustered he dropped his katana. Karai was about to shove him when he leaned in and kissed her back. Karai froze, not expecting his response. Karai's eyes slowy shut as she wrapped her arms around his neck. Leo smiled slightly as he hesitantly wrapped his arms around her waist. Karai grinned as she deepened the kiss making Leo tense up but he soon relaxed pulling her closer...

A few minutes later the two picked up their weapons a blush on both of their faces. Karai sighed. 'you realize this is just a one time thing, right Leo?' she asked. Leo closed his eyes feeling his heart sink 'yea. Of course.' he said calmly, he knew things would never work out, but he wished they would. Karai nodded 'good.' she replied. Leo turned with a sigh 'Karai, listen I...' but she was gone, Leo frowned looking down as he slowly walked home. Karai watched from the rooftop as Leo sadly walked off. Karai sighed softly as she walked away trying to forget what happened.
Leo walked into the lair and Mikey run over to him 'hey Leo, wanna play Mario Kart?' he asked smiling. 'no thanks Mike.' Leo replied going to his room and shutting the door. Mikey looked over and Raph and Donnie who were in the kitchen 'guys...' he said walking over to them. 'man, he's really in the dumps.' Donnie said a worried tone to his voice. Raph frowned 'I'll bet ya a hundred bucks it has something to do with the Foot Clan Princess.' he said crossing his arms. 'do you think he's okay?' Mikey asked concerned. Donnie placed a hand on his shoulder 'don't worry he'll be fine.' he said. Mikey nodded going back to the TV. 'I don't get it, all she does is double cross us and yet Leo's still head over heels for her.' Raph said. Donnie shrugged 'who knows. I'm gonna go talk to sensei, maybe he'll be able to do something.' he said heading for the dojo.
Leo took off his belt and laid down on his bed as tears started forming in his eyes as he looked back at what happened 'a one time thing...' repeated in his head, he thought that maybe, just maybe she'd feel the same but that kiss meant nothing to her. Leo wiped his tears away, sniffling as he sat up and got his journal from under his pillow and started to write.

Karai laid on her bed looking up at the ceiling she sighed as she sat up 'come on get it together.' she told herself getting up 'he's the enemy Karai.' she said looking out her window. 'father would go ballistic.' she said with a smirk 'but, no. I can't...' Karai frowned thinking back to Leo's brokenhearted face. 'but... I want to.' She thought making herself groan in annoyance 'dang it!' she said flopping back onto her bed 'why him? Dang it why him?!' she asked herself as she closed her eyes and soon fell asleep.

This will be a short story, maybe 4 or 5 chapters who knows it might be longer than I'm anticipating.
