Shintaro POV

I really am sorry. She just won’t let me say it to her. She just says the same thing over and over again. ‘You did what you did and I will accept that.’

Gah, it’s so aggravating.

Chi acts like nothing happened. She’s all bouncy and bubbly like before. But when you make her mad, she will shout, curse, and punch you into the wall like no one’s done before. Kano learned that the hard way. She seems to go easy on him, though.

I'm still a little shaken up about the note that she gave me that time. I can get those words out of my head. I think I know what they mean now. Takane keeps asking me about it, but I just ignore her and shoo her away. That girl is persistent. She comes up to me and asks me every two seconds. Now I have two annoying little sisters, I guess.

Now Kido is asking me about it. Momo wants to know, too. Hibiya, Kano, Seto, Marry, Ayano, and even Konoha. They all want to know what that not says. I try to refuse, but eventually I’ll break.

Eventually came.

“Come ooooon Onii-chan, tell us!”

“Yeah, Shintarou-kun~”

“You have no right to refuse.”

“C’mon, old man, out with it!”

“Please tell us.”

Finally, I snap. I take the note out of my pocket and throw it into the air. Before anyone can get to it, though, Chi is there and snatches it away, squinting at me. “You,” she says, pointing at me, “have officially lost my trust. And you all! Don’t you know how to respect someone’s privacy? Obviously not.” She’s not only implying to now; she’s also talking about that other time.

“Do you really want to know what this note says?”

They all nodded vigorously.

“Humph.” She puffed out her cheeks. It looked cute, in a way. “Okay, you can have it.” She handed the note to Marry and walked off. Marry read it with wide eyes. Hair wriggling, she passed it to everyone else.

“What does this even mean?” Takane said, flipping the note upside-down. As if that would help.

“Think about it,” Kano said grimly. “What did you see in Chi’s memories before the snake guy skipped?”

“Chi-chan said, ‘I need to learn to lie. Teach me how to deceive, and you can—‘” Hibiya stated.

“Exactly.” Kano went on. “What did Chi say to her sister before she was killed?”

Momo’s eyes widened a fraction. “That’s not how you get two abilities,” she whispered.

Kido’s mouth dropped open. “You’re not saying—"

“I’m saying, all right.” Kano said, looking off somewhere. “That girl has two eye abilities, and the second ability is mine.”

“Bu-but that’s impossible!” Marry said.

A voice sounded from behind her. “Oh, it’s very possible.”

Marry whipped around to find Chi standing there. “I’m sorry to have kept this from you for such a long time. But whenever I wanted to say it, the timing never felt right.”

“Show your real self!” Kido demanded.

“Ah, Danchou, that I cannot do.” Chi said, shaking her head and frowning slightly. “I can only show my true self to someone I know will not stereotype me for it.” Maybe it was just a trick of my eyes, but her gaze seemed to flash to Kano.  

“Hold up,” Takane said. She walked up to Chi, and looked her in her eyes, as if she was looking for something. “I knew it wasn’t fake.” She said quietly, backing off. “Only two more minutes.”

“So you’ve figured that out, as well. Smart girl.”  Chi said, still no expression on her face.

“I’ve figured something out, too.” I say. “In order to get that second power, you let the person who gave it to you do something horrible to someone.”

“I don’t regret that. He did what needed to be done.”

“What’d he do?” Ayano asked, scared.

“He drove my father to insanity. That ran onto me, and I became his torture subject. He used me for gun and knife practice. I escaped, of course.”

I was come over with memories of looking through a window, seeing a girl just one year younger than me tortured by her father. I remembered looking through that window one day to see that had hung herself with a belt.

Chi seeing my red eyes, said, “You remember that route, I see. That power comes with mine, I am able to travel into the past of the me’s of other timelines. I hate it, of course.”

“What do you mean?” Takane yelled, frustrated.

“Shintaro can explain.” And she walked away.

“The answer’s been right in front of us the whole time, but we just didn’t see it.” I say warily.

“Well, what’s the answer?!”

“We’re causing her to be this way.”

“How?” Konoha asked.

“She’s used to an abusive family, so she’s not really sure what’s happening, and she’s confused. With the way we’re acting, she thinks we’re going to turn on her, like everyone else did in her life. She thinks that we hate her, and that we’re too afraid of her to show it. Us being afraid of her makes her think that she’s been ranked abnormal by the abnormal people; that’s she’s been called a monster by the monsters.”

Kano, snapping out of his shock fist, said, “Well, I’ll fix that.” And marched off towards Chi’s room.

Aaaaanyway, after the next chapter will be the next bad ending. I think I will be changing POV's within the bad ending chapter, so don't be confused by that. 

Don't you just love it when Marry's hair wiggles? IT'S ADORABLE.

This picture is when Chi is still in her fancy, big-as-hell house, questioning her futile existace in this tiny world, contemplating the meaning of the strange phenomenon called 'life'.

Okay, I would never, ever actually say something like that in real life. It's too deep, and I would probably make someone say it for me. Because I'm lazy like that.  But, after all, isn't it the truth that seems the most suspicious? (wink wink)
