Chapter 1: Well, my day is shot.

((SCRRT HOLD UP. I wrote this when I still had the writing capacity of a twelve year old, so keep in mind that my character, for this WHOLE book, is a bit... Mary Sue. Haha don't worry I have plans to fix 'er up though. Enjoy! Please try not to cringe too much =_=;))

((note from me who is 19: this story makes me wanna v*mit bro. sure cringe culture is dead but not this. if you stumble upon this please take is as a note of something not to do with an OC. if you've come for character content this is not the place to look bestie. this is more of an avant-garde piece where i flesh out my kagepro oc than anything. it's been 7 years i swear I'm a better writer now... anyway if you do read this, my condolences get well soon))

Kido POV

We were walking down the street when she started staring at us.

Momo was walking in the very front, confident that she couldn't be seen. When she stopped in her tracks, she caused all the rest of us to ram into her or one another. We all fell to the ground, groaning.

I got up first. "Kisaragi, what do you think you're doing?"

"A-ah, I'm sorry commander," she said, bowing in front of me. "But it seems that that girl over there is staring at us."

I looked over to where she was pointing. There stood a medium-sized girl. Despite the scorching heat, she was wearing a dark red sweater-dress with a white hoodie on top. She was wearing black leggings and gray, furry boots. Her long, grayish hair stretched down to her ankles and it seemed that she was staring at us with her cold, hazel eyes through her messy bangs. She was talking on her phone rapidly, as if she didn't have time to hear what the other person was saying.  Black headphones were hanging around her neck, along with a silver heart necklace on a thin black string.

Marry sat up. She stared at the girl with wide eyes. "Wh-what if she can see us?"

I shook my head. "Impossible. I concealed us all. No one should be able to see us." I turned to Momo. "Your eyes are probably tricking you."

"Yeah," Momo said, chuckling softly. "I'm being silly. Sorry."

Everyone else got up, shaking the dirt out of their clothes and hair. "You can't just assume things, Momo." Said Kano, brushing off his hoodie. Momo gave him a death stare, to which Kano only smiled.

We'd only walked five feet when she started walking towards us. I looked around. No one else was around, so she could only be walking to us. "Be ready," I said, "She could be a real enemy."

"I've got this." Kano said, walking forward to greet the girl. She stopped in front of him, a blank expression on her face. "I'm sorry for blocking the road with the bulky ten of us, we'll gladly get out of the way—"

"Ah," The girl said, "You're the 'deceiver', right? Have you gotten better at 'using' it?"

((A/N Yes, part of this chapter is from the manga, don't murder me for it.))

Kano eyes went huge, and the girl replied with an evil looking smirk. She gave him a shrug. "I know things." She took a step forward, and so did I.

I didn't like this girl's aura, it felt like she knew too much. I took another step, so that I was beside Kano. "Leave."

The girls face brightened into a smile, leaving the smirk behind. "Oh, I was just kidding you. What I meant to say is that I want to join the Mekakushi-dan." (Blindfold gang)

"Oh, really?" Seto called from the back. "Well, the more the merrier, so—"

"What's your power?" I said, ignoring him.

"'Telling Eyes'. It allows me to see the past and the future." The girl said simply.

"Prove it."

She sighed. "Past or future?"

"Future."

She smiled as her eyes turned bright red. She got a far-away look, then her eyes got huge and she looked scared, her eyes started tearing up, even. She blinked hard and a tear rolled down her cheek. She flicked it away casually, as if it were a fly. "Sorry," She said, "I went too far. Let me try again."

This time, she snapped back after about ten seconds and said, "Run." There was gunfire behind them. The wall that Seto was leaning on suddenly had holes in it, right next to his forehead, ears, and chin.

We all ran. "Who... was... that?" Momo asked, panting while she was running.

"I'll explain later! Right now we—" she fell to the ground, shrieking in pain. I knelt down and pried her fingers off of her shoulder. There was blood. The girl had gotten shot in the arm. "I-I'm fine," she said. "Keep running!" she got up quickly and started off.

They got to the main street, which was filled with people going home from work. "Let's file in," I said, "He's bound to lose—"

"No," the girl said. "Knowing him, he'll start shooting innocent people in effort to search for us. He has no regard for human life whatsoever."

And that's when I felt a burning pain in my back, and heard a faraway scream that sounded like...

Me.

And I felt no more.

LOL I had fun making this.

Is Kido dead? Find out in the next chapter! (God that probably sounded like the end of a Pokemon episode)

If you had only a vague image of "the girl", then take a peek at my book of drawings! She's on the cover. If you decide to look through that, then I'll spare you some trouble. It gets better near the middle/end.

If you think you know why the story is named 'One Thousand Summers Eternal', well, you don't. Seriously.

See you guys after volleyball tomorrow!
