It's a Date: Part Two
One Thousand Miles
Chapter | It's a Date
Part | Two
Never in my life have I ever broken the law....well sort of. How did Ally do it, I had the slightest clue. Ally has always been the bad ass, the rebel, or in everybody else's eyes with an exception of me, a criminal. Allison Hersh has always been the one to get herself caught up in a sticky situation, and somehow or another, I'm always dragged into it. I really do love my sister, but the crazy things I do for her are just too much.
I remember it being just a couple of months before the end of the school year. At the time I was sixteen and had just received my brand new Toyota Camry for my sixteenth birthday. Ally and I sat in the middle of our bedroom floor coming up with a plan to break into the high school. I didn't know why Ally wanted to break into a school she wouldn't be attending until next school year, but she said the less I knew the better. She was probably right, but every time I tried to talk her out of it she would just blackmail me saying things like, "If you don't help me then I'll tell daddy that you and Joshua were playing hide the hand under the other's shirt."
Joshua was the boy next door. I had known him for as long as I could remember. We had been partners for a project in one of our classes and to be honest, I had totally freaked out when I found out that the, Joshua Gregory, was my partner. He invited me over to his house so we could work on it while his parents were out the house, but instead of us doing any school work....we did a different type. He had put me under pure pressure. I didn't want to do it, but he had a good way with words.
"Come on baby nobody's going to see us," he says as he continues to leave kisses all over my shoulder. I just sat there and tilted my head just a little bit to give him more access. I moaned at the feel of his lips until suddenly I felt his hand going under my shirt once again.
I let out a frustrated sigh once again before pushing him away for about the hundredth time now. "Joshua, I'm not ready. Why don't we take baby steps? You know like a kiss on the cheek."
He just rolled his eyes and shook his head before cupping my face with his big hands. "Look at me Steph." I do as he says and look straight into his hazel colored eyes. One of his hands slowly moves over to the arms of my big glasses, and starts to remove them from my face. He sits them down next to us before bringing his hand back up to my cheek. "Steph, I really do like you and I want you to feel good, if you know what I mean?"
I let out a quiet gasp at his choice of words before blushing. I slightly shut my eyes and look down at my hands. "Yeah, I know what you mean, but I---"
He removes his hand again from my cheek and places his index finger over my lips. "Shh," he cooed. "Just close your eyes and relax. It'll only take a second." And I just listened to everything he said. First he cupped my breast through my bra before reaching under it and feeling me fully. As much as that felt nice, I thought his lips against mine would be a whole lot better.
One thing lead to another and soon we were both lying on his floor in just our underwear. Just as I felt his hands go to the elastic band of my panties, I placed my hand over his chest and sat up just a bit. "I don't think we should---"
Before I could even finish my sentence, the sound of the front door slamming shut caused us to jump about ten feet into the air. "Joshy! Where oh where could you be?"
I knew that voice from anywhere. Annabelle Pierce, the girl who has been tormenting me since the beginning of the sixth grade. I wasn't mad that she had interrupted what Josh and I was doing, I was actually quite glad she did before he had filled my head with his poison.
I pushed him off of me and quickly stood up and bent down for my pants. Before I could even get one leg in them, he snatched them out of my hands. "There is no time for that; you need to leave now before she sees you."
I'm shocked by his words at first until it finally clicks in my head. He didn't like me the way I thought he did, he just liked me for what I had; legs, breast, and definitely not a penis. Before I could even blink, Joshua had managed to pick up all of my clothes from the floor and walk outside to the balcony and dumped them over the ledge. I rushed outside to the balcony and looked over the edge at my scattered clothes.
"Why are you just standing there? You need to go!"
I looked over at him with wide eyes. "Do you seriously expect me to jump down? I could hurt myself if I jumped," I exclaimed. He just stared back at me like I was some sort of math problem that was just impossible to solve. Without any hesitation I swung my legs over the ledge and just sat there staring down at the ground. I whimpered and continued to sit there trying to gain the strength to jump.
"Oh Joshy, are you in your room?" I heard Annabelle call from somewhere outside of his door.
My eyes widened again before my attention went to Josh. He shook his head before stomping over to me and in one quick second, pushed me off the balcony. I squeaked and shut my eyes hoping that this fall wouldn't be as painful as I thought it would be.
Turns out the fall hurt like a bitch. As soon as my left arm landed on the hard ground, I heard a crack and the sound of my screams in the January air. I shut my eyes tight and moan at how painful that was.
"Sorry!" I hear Joshua whisper from the balcony before he reentered his room.
Was he seriously not about to come and help me? I most likely just broke my arm and had no way to get home other than to walk. It was a good thing I lived next door. I tried to shake off the immense pain I felt shooting through my arm as I tried pulling my clothes on my body. I hissed and squinted as I struggled to slip my left arm through my shirt sleeve. I would have put on my coat, but considering that I lived right next door and didn't feel like trying to slip my injured arm into it, I decided to start walking home. It was then when I took the first step I realized that my vision was blurry. I had forgotten my glasses upstairs. I looked up at where Joshua's bedroom was, but frowned when his lights went off. I would go around and knock on his door, but I didn't want to interrupt what was going on in there.
Once I made it home, everybody had started up a game of twenty-one questions. All I had told them was that as I was walking home I had slipped on ice in Joshua's driveway. I didn't need my parents knowing the truth or else I would be grounded for the rest of my life. They had already disliked the idea of me going over there in the first place. Everybody had believed my story, except for Ally of course. It had only taken her a day just to figure out what had happened. The next day my parents had let me stay home and I'm guessing Ally too. After school, Joshua had come by with my glasses and a apology. Ally had questioned his apology, but all he told her was that I would know what he had meant. Once Ally had come upstairs to our bedroom with my glasses in her hand I instantly knew that she had knew, or at least she knew that the story I had told mom and dad hadn't been true. I was then forced to tell her the truth and ever since then she has threatened to spill the beans if she didn't get her way.
Anyways, the night we had broken into the school, I felt alive for the first time in my life. Turns out, all Ally wanted to do was trash our principal, Mr. Hank's, office. Mr. Hank lived three houses down across the street from us. Ally had always hated his grumpiness, so I'm assuming she thought that this would make him less grumpy. Sometimes I wonder what is running through this sad little thirteen year olds head.
I had thought we were in the clearing when suddenly as we were walking out; about three police cars rounded the corner out of nowhere. Ally hadn't even told me to run, but she did. She just ran and left me hanging. The last words I heard come from her mouth were, "I owe you!"
That was nothing new. In the end I had gotten my car taken away and I had been grounded for a whole month.
Now as I sat looking at the cute, but yet very expensive piece of jewelry, I felt like doing something Ally would do to get what she wanted. Steal. I just shook my head and started to walk away from it when suddenly I felt Tanya pulling me back by my arm. "Where do you think you're going? Do you not think that this is the most gorgeous thing?"
I smiled sweetly. "Oh yes it is very gorgeous, but very expensive. Sorry Tanya, but I don't have that kind of money and neither do you." I say as I move away from the piece of jewelry. She stomps her foot before coming to stand next to me. She pouts her lips and stares at me with puppy eyes.
"Tanya take that look off your face, it isn't going to work on me. I mean, if you were my sister Katie it may have, but you're not. Plus if it did work I still wouldn't have the money to pay for it." She just shakes her head and walks off not saying another word. We're in there for another ten minutes or so before we start leaving the store. As we're exiting through the doors, the alarm suddenly goes off. One of the workers behind the counter gives us a look before I turn towards Tanya. I spot something poking out of her pocket, but before I could snap at her for stealing, she grabs me by my arm and runs out the store. We hear people behind us telling us to stop, but we don't. We're so close to the mall exit before suddenly two mall cops step in front of us. They snatch Tanya's arm away from mine and handcuff us.
"Well what do we have here, a couple of shoplifters."
I glare over at Tanya before the cops lead us outside to one of their cars. This seriously could not be happening. This was going to be my second time going to jail, and each time was never my fault. I was just always at the wrong place at the wrong times.
As the hours past, my eyes start to droop. Today I was supposed to go shopping with my best friend and come home and get ready for my date with John, but look at the outcome. Tanya and I had managed to land ourselves in jail and I missed out on what would have been a great date with John. As more minutes pass by, I shut my eyes and try to let the darkness consume me.
"Stephy?"
"Mmm, your voice is even sexier in my dreams," I moaned.
He quietly chuckled. "Stephy.....open your eyes. This isn't a dream."
I frowned before I suddenly realized that the voice I was hearing wasn't a dream, but reality. My eyes snapped opened and landed on John who was crouched down in front of me. I could see the amusement and concern in his eyes at the same time. I reached my hand out and slowly rubbed it over the stubble on his face. He closed his eyes and groaned before placing his hand on mine and pulling it away. He stood up and reached his hand out for me to take, which I did.
"Okay so you are free to go. You are free to go with no punishment since your friend says you had nothing to do with it, but she has to stay back. She will have to pay a fine and---"
"Don't worry I'll pay it," John speaks.
My eyes widened. "John, how are you---"
He just winks. "Don't worry beautiful, I got this." He walks over to the cop and pulls him over to the side. They're whispering to each other, but I didn't know what for. About a minute later John turns away from the cop with a smirk on his face. "Come on Stephy, let me go get you something to eat."
As we're walking toward his black BMW sitting outside in the parking lot, I look up at him and ask, "How did you even know Tanya and I were sitting in jail?"
"She was the one who called," he answered. Of course she called him. I was actually thankful that she called him instead of my parents. They would have made me come back home to live with them. Living with them for the rest of my life just isn't something on my to-do list.
After ordering our food from the McDonald's drive thru, John parks the car in the parking lot and starts to eat his food. As I do the same, I try to think about something that will take my mind away from the incredibly sexy guy sitting next to me. I wonder what his favorite color is, maybe it's blue. Or it could also be green or red. It's funny how I was trying to take my mind off of him, but all I was doing was thinking of him. Once I finished my food I wrapped up all of my trash and threw it inside the bag. I sighed before turning in my seat with a huge smile on my face. "So John, tell me about you."
He takes his last bite out of his cheeseburger before putting his trash inside the bag also. "Well what would you like to know?"
My smile only widens. "Everything."
He smirks. "Well my favorite color is blue." I knew it. "I am the only child, I love football, and someday I would like to run my own business. I don't plan on sitting behind a cash register taking people's orders for the rest of my life. I like giving orders."
I sit up straight and raise my eyebrow. "Why? I mean doesn't that seem kind of boring?"
He just shakes his head before crossing his arms over his chest. "Nope, not at all, I'm the type of guy that likes to be in control. I like to have my own rules."
There was this voice in my head telling me to jump out the car right now and run, but I didn't, I stayed put. Why should I run? I mean yeah just because he likes to be in control doesn't mean that he'll have control over me if we ever got together. Plus I would leave him in a heartbeat.
I nod my head and scoot closer to him so my arm is now rubbing against his. I notice him visibly stiffen out of the corner of my eye and gulp. "Yeah, well tell me some more."
He clears his throat before throwing his head back. "Well Stephy......you have managed to give me a boner without even doing anything."
I look down and notice the huge bulge in his pants. I smirk getting up and straddling his lap. I slowly start to move against him, which causes him to groan in pleasure. I cup his face in my hands move his head so we are now staring into each other's eyes. I bite my lip which causes him to let out another groan. I shake my head in amusement before slowly leaning in and placing his lips softly against my own. They both move in sync together slowly. It's not long before this slow and passionate kiss starts to get steamy and heated. Before we go any further I pull away breathless. I rest my forehead against his and giggle.
"Wow.....for somebody who has never kissed a boy, you sure do know how to work those lips of yours. You know, they could be useful for other things too," he said while wiggling his eyebrows. I open my mouth to ask how he knew I had never been kissed, but he beat me to it. “Your friend told. Now, you might want to close that mouth of yours, like I said before, there are other things we could use it for.”
I giggle and playfully smack his arm. "Now that....was a date."
