316.

Jungkook followed Mr. Park outside the restroom and was immediately surrounded by bodyguards. The immense relief he felt right then was immeasurable. He made a note to thank Jimin later for his timely intervention.

Mr. Park locked the restroom from outside and the omega's eyes widened. He didn't know what he planned to do with the attorney and couldn't bring himself to ask how overwhelmed he felt right then. He needed a moment to recover.

Jungkook's thoughts were racing several miles per second and everything that had happened was overwhelming. Mr. Park had just claimed him as his son-in-law. Was it just for the sake of the situation? Or did he mean it?

A public claim such as that was no joke. What would Jimin think of his claim? He was listening to the entire conversation, wasn't he? He swallowed. Something twisted in his belly. Would Attorney Na tell the others? What would happen if people were to learn of this? Wouldn't it create uproar?

"You okay there, pup?" Mr. Park's voice pulled him out of his thoughts. "Come here." He began to fuss over him. "Let me check your arm." He moved his sleeve to inspect his wrist, turning it this and that. Relief flooded his features. "Ah, it looks fine. Did he hurt you?" His gaze scanned him from his head to toe.

The omega smiled fondly, squeezing his arm in assurance. No matter what, he had Mr. Park on his side. He wasn't alone. It's okay to be selfish.

"No. I'm alright, Dad."

Mr. Park nodded seemingly satisfied. "Okay. My son is about to blast a hole over the roof. Call him and calm him down, hmm. Take your time. I'll be there and pretend I'm giving you some privacy." He turned around with his back facing him.

"Dad..." Jungkook palmed his face at the silliness. There was no space for privacy in this crowded corridor. "Your son is already listening." He lifted his phone, showing it to him.

Mr. Park chuckled. "Ah...I should have guessed that. Alright. Carry on. Don't mind this old man loitering here. Go on. Talk to him." He waved his hand.

The omega huffed. He was surrounded by Mr. Park and the bodyguards. Fortunately, there was no one else. Or maybe they blocked entry for other people. He pressed the phone to his ear.

"Alpha?" he breathed into the phone, feeling shy for some reason.

"Cherry Blossom," Jimin growled into his ear, making Jungkook's body shudder. "He's a dead man walking."

His cheeks flamed, the heat spreading to his ears and neck. "Alpha..." He felt breathless just by hearing Jimin's voice over the phone. His omega wanted to run to him and hide in his alpha's embrace. Several emotions stormed through him.

"I'm coming home," his alpha said. "Pack an overnight bag and hop in the car that'll wait for you at the front of your dorm. They will take you to my penthouse. Treat yourself to a nice, long bath and eat the food that'll be ready by the time you arrive. Wait for me there."

Damn.

He felt wetness between his ass cheeks as his wolf rumbled in his chest, feeling so pleased with the alpha's words.

"Yes, alpha," he whispered and that was all he could manage.

"I'll see you soon."

The line went dead and if not for Jungkook's scent blockers, the entire team would have smelt his arousal. Shit. He couldn't even rush to the restroom to clean up.

"Leave us," Mr. Park suddenly said. The bodyguards immediately filed out of the corridor, leaving them alone. He put a hand on his lower back, guiding him to the purebred omega restroom. "Freshen up a bit. That bastard's pheromones are all over you. I'll be right here."

Jungkook let out a relieved breath, thankful for the opportunity and rushed inside. The purebred omega toilets were a lot posh with the things inside more luxurious. He scoffed as he went inside, using the free cabin.

It was once he was done cleaning, he realized that Attorney Na wore scent blockers and there were no pheromones involved.

"Oh God!" he groaned, covering his face with his hands.

When he lifted his head to stare at his reflection in the mirror, he saw a healthy flush. Did he smell something? He was a purebred. What if he smelled his arousal? Jungkook whined in embarrassment but he couldn't stay locked up forever. Did others smell him too?

With a sigh and lamenting for another couple of minutes, he splashed water on his face and went outside, refusing to meet Mr. Park's gaze. Fortunately, Mr. Park was talking to someone over the phone.

When Mr. Park saw him, he gestured at him to follow and Jungkook did, thanking the heavens internally. There was a text from Kwan that said he was leaving with his alpha to which he responded in the meantime. Only once inside the car, he dared to look up to meet Mr. Park's gaze.

"Are you hungry? Do you wanna eat something?" Mr. Park asked.

Jungkook shook his head. He wasn't hungry. "Are you?"

"No, but I could definitely use a cup of coffee," Mr. Park said, adjusting to sit in a comfortable position.

"I'd like a chocolate milkshake then," Jungkook said, not wanting the older man to skip his coffee because of him. Also he felt like he could use something sweet to uplift his spirits.

Mr. Park beamed. "Alright." He crossed his legs. "So wanna tell me what got you all frowning and lost in thoughts on our walk here?"

"Huh?"

"You furrow your brows and pout when you're lost in thoughts," Mr. Park continued. "What were you thinking about? Is it Na? Don't worry about him. We will take care of that."

"Oh, it's not him." Mr. Park cocked his head to the side as if waiting for him to continue. Jungkook sighed.

Nothing can escape his watchful eyes, can it?

"It's just..."

Jungkook didn't know how to voice out his uncertainty. To be honest, suddenly it felt like someone plucked him out of his daily routine and thrust him into a fairytale. In truth, it was like that.

The omega didn't know how to get used to this. He didn't know if he'd ever get used to any of this. One day he was struggling to make ends meet, worrying every passing day and night about the loan amount he had to pay Shark. Then the next, there was Mr. Park, showing up like a fairy Godmother, taking care of his loans and his life.

Suddenly, he had clothes, a roof over his head, his tuition fee paid off and all his basic necessities taken care of. When he was trying to get used to it, Jimin showed up like a Prince Charming or a knight in his shining armor. Only Jungkook knew none of this was permanent.

Well, everything depended on how Jimin felt about him in the long run. Even though Jungkook agreed to this trial based dating, he knew he was falling faster and harder. For years, he only had his father and friends to show him love.

However, the kind of affection and attention Jimin offered was different and it couldn't be compared with anyone else. Jungkook thought he'd be able to be careful and spare his feelings. But he was proven how wrong he was only a week into their dating.

Jungkook was catching feelings. Every time he addressed Jimin as his alpha, his wolf began to mean it more and more. Every time, his logical side brought it up to his mind, he always pushed it back, saying he'd think about it when the time came and for now he'd enjoy this phase.

But the reality came knocking today at the court. Not just the hearing but even the restrooms where the class divisions were too obvious, Jungkook couldn't help but feel inadequate. He wondered when Jimin would replace him and told him that he didn't feel anything more for him.

The omega wondered what would happen then. Just the thought alone was depressing. He was falling for Jimin and it would hurt him deeply if Jimin didn't return those feelings. Maybe those thoughts reflected in his face.

"Jungkook?"

"Huh?" Jungkook blinked. "Oh, I..." He rubbed the back of his neck. "It's just..."

"Whatever it is...I'm here," Mr. Park said.

His expression was sincere. Not that Jungkook ever doubted him. It was just too hard to believe everything happening in his life right now. He didn't remember a time he was this happy, except for the time he spent with his father of course, but that couldn't compare. These were different things.

Jungkook sighed. "Dad, what would happen if um..."

"If?" the alpha probed.

Jungkook fiddled with his fingers. "If Jimin hyung didn't feel the same way about me, then..." He glanced away. "I don't think you should go and threaten people like this. It could come back to harm me in some way."

A silence fell between them and Jungkook built courage to look at Mr. Park's face. What he saw eased his worries a little but also created new worries. Mr. Park's gaze was gentle on him. He was silent for a few minutes before he pulled his phone out.

"I told myself that I wouldn't meddle with your relationship, but now that's a huge concern, pup. You don't think I'd claim publicly for no reason, would you?" He unlocked his phone, going to his recent contacts.

Jungkook's eyes widened when he realized what he was about to do. "Wait, don't call him." He grabbed his wrist. "Dad, no, please...He can't know."

Mr. Park huffed. "I don't know what my silly pup has told you, but I'm here to clarify a few things. Don't worry, little one. I won't tell him anything about this conversation."

Jungkook bit his bottom lip but released his grip with a tiny nod.

Mr. Park dialed Jimin's number, putting it on a loud speaker. "Jimin, where are you?"

"Hey, Dad, I'm at the hotel. I'll be heading to the airport in a bit. Is everything alright? Where is Jungkook?"

They could hear the rustling sound and the clack of his boots in the background as he moved around.

"He's on his way to the dorm," Mr. Park lied. "I got out best men with him. Your precious omega will be at your home when you return."

Jungkook blushed and gripped his knee, trying hard to hide his flaming face.

"That's good. There's something I forgot to tell you earlier. I want an omega bodyguard to tail him all the time, especially when he goes to restrooms in public places." Jimin's voice was laced with cold fury. "I'll not allow a repeat of what happened today. When I land in Seoul, that fucking bastard is as good as dead."

"Yes, son."

"Good. I'll talk to you later. I gotta hurry or I'll miss the flight."

"Wait."

"Yes."

"What you told me earlier about Jungkook..." Mr. Park drawled, eyes on Jungkook. "It's not an emotional decision, right? You meant everything you said, right?"

Jungkook sucked in a breath, struggling with the urge to bite his nails. His heart raced and it was that mixed feeling where he wasn't ready to hear the answer but was also couldn't wait to hear it.

Jimin exhaled audibly on the other end. "Dad, you know I don't speak empty words."

"Still, as your father, I'm worried. Are you sure it's really not a trial period?"

"Dad, I told you already."

Jungkook felt like he was at the edge of his seat, heart beating so loud and his fingers digging into his thighs. His palms grew sweaty and there were beads of sweat on his face despite the air conditioner.

"I know. Just for the sake of your father, can you tell me again what Jungkook is to you?" Mr. Park continued in a casual tone.

Jimin groaned. "I'm not repeating myself."

"Come on, son. It's just you and me. Tell me one more time," Mr. Park coaxed. "I'll pretend this conversation never happened in the first place. Just wanna make sure it wasn't all emotional speech and you forgot what you said."

"Fine. I remember exactly what I told you. Every single word of it," Jimin sounded a bit annoyed. "I told you to tell that motherfucker, Na Hak-Kun, that this omega is my future mate and will be the father of my pups. That's what Jeon Jungkook is to me. He belongs to the Park family now! He's mine. Fucking mine. I'll kill anyone who dares to come between us. Is this you wanted to hear? I'll fucking marry him and claim him publicly with a bite. I'll tie myself to him for eternity. I wanna see which motherfucker has the audacity to question that sort of claim. Do I make myself clear?"

"Very clear." Mr. Park grinned victoriously while Jungkook gasped silently. He released a breath he didn't realize he was holding.

"I mean it, Dad. Jungkook is mine," Jimin continued. "I do not mince my words when it comes to him and I think I'm imprinted on him."

Jungkook's eyes widened. Was he?

"Oh," Mr. Park said.

"When I said I'm trying to figure it out, I was trying to find why my wolf was so taken with him. I didn't want to give him false promises before I was sure of my feelings."

"And you're sure now?"

"What did not sound sure from everything I just told you?" Jimin sounded furious. "I just admitted that I'm imprinted on him and is that what you have to ask me?"

"Nope, just double checking."

"You know what you're doing. And I know what you're doing. We're done talking."

"Alright, I'll let you go then. See you soon." Mr. Park's grin widened and his scent radiated happiness. He looked a bit too pleased with himself and everything else.

The call ended without so much as a bye from Jimin's end and Jungkook sat dumbfounded at the new information.

What was that?

Jimin is imprinted on me?

He couldn't wrap his head around everything he just heard.

Alpha is imprinted on us?

His wolf joined his musings.

"Told you," Mr. Park said. "My pup might be confusing to understand but his heart is always at the right place. He will never hurt you." He took hold of Jungkook's hands. "He will never lead you along if he doesn't feel more for you."

Jungkook nodded.

"Are your suspicions cleared, my little prince?" He bent to look into his eyes.

Jungkook chuckled, "Yes, Dad."

"That's good. So how about we add a dessert to celebrate?"

"Sure."

As their car sped through the traffic, Jungkook held his breath while battling the hundreds of butterflies fluttering in his belly. Every word Jimin spoke continued to replay in his mind. Jimin claimed him as his future mate and the father of his pups. Something shifted inside him. His wolf rejoiced beyond belief.

Jimin is imprinted on me.

Am I imprinted on him?

This update was commissioned by

Many were asking about Ko-Fi commissions too. I want to stress that it's not mandatory. I'll update even if not for commissions. However, as many of you might know, I have a full-time job and I'm facing some health issues for which I'm on a medication.

So to manage the extra expenses, I take up extra freelancing work. This makes it impossible for me to write fics because I'll be utilizing my free time for work. It was then a reader suggested that they would pay me if I can give them updates. So I thought if I can make some extra bucks, I can utilize my free time to write and update instead of taking up other freelance gigs like I used to. Commissions allow me to limit my freelance work and write more here. That's all.

Many kind hearted readers have been supporting me to do so. I come here to update whenever I get some spare time. These days it's mostly on weekends. Please note, the people who commissioned will receive first access to the updates and so on. Also commission is done on first come first serve basis.

You can commission me via - https://ko-fi.com/chimmyxkookies/commissions. If you go here, you can see available slots for each fic. You can buy slots only if I'm open to write certain work and you will be able to see open slots in my Ko-Fi page.

So that's about it. Take care, loves.
