Len

When I heard Lenka was in an accident, I rushed the best I could to where she is but Lyra instructed that we proceed to the hospital so we did only to see the press waiting outside. I knew I was doomed but I tried my best to slip through them, troubled and I didn't even give a rat's ass when they saw and questioned me.

Lyra rushed with me to the ER but they stopped us by the door and confirmed that Lenka was inside, badly injured as well. Even if we were vampires, we knew pain as mush as any normal person and too much pain can place us in shock.

Who and what did this to Lenka will pay. I wanted them to suffer and hurt as much as Lenka did. I didn't see her injured but I know...she was in so much pain.

"Len.." Lyra called me and pulled me to the bench. "Calm down, Lenka's a strong girl. This won't faze her. She'll be fine in a matter of hours, okay?"

I clenched my fist, so tight that my knuckles turned white as I seethed in anger. "Lyra, Lenka was still hurt and a bomb? Someone was targeting her." I muttered under my breath. "Let it be human or another kind, I will not tolerate it."

The thought of someone trying to kill Lenka was enough to make me angry. Heck even the thought of someone looking at her with a bad look was bad as it was. I should be there to protect her. I should have followed her. I should have been the one who was injured that much. I know Lenka can handle herself but this was just...I was too careless. I should have not left her alone! She doesn't have body guards so I should be there to at least look out for her, right? I should have been--

"Len! Snap out of it! The press saw you, they know Lenka so what do you suggest we do, huh?" Lyra asked me and showed me her phone. I look horrid in that pic.

A fan posted it and now, I know the press and media would have their eyes on me and Lenka now. What am I supposed to say? We're not exactly in a relationship. This is gonna be a wreck.

"Mister Kagamine, are you here for Miss Lenka?" A nurse came out from the Operating Room, in scrubs and I couldn't help but notice how much blood was on it.

"Y-Yes." She looked rather confused, stumped and speechless. This was going to be a disaster. Lenka must have shown recovery a few minutes in that must have confused the doctors and nurses inside. Lyra gave me a squeeze by the arm, giving a worried look.

"It's quite complicated. She's fine, her system is...oddly unscathed but we don't know why she doesn't have a heartbeat." The nurse sighed, still quite baffled.

"Lyra, can you entertain the nurse for a while? I have to place a call." I excused myself from the ladies and called a certain elemental.

Three rings later, she answered. "H-hello?" She sounded like she was awoken by  my call.

"Sorry, Titaia but we need you here in the hospital now. Please....Lenka got in a bad accident." I told her in hushed tones as to keep this matter to ourselves.

"Lenka?!!! I'll be there! Let me change." She hung up the phone soon but I stood there, hoping we could do something for now.

I went back to Lyra only to see the nurse still talking to her. I grabbed the lady and forced her to turn to my direction, locking her eyes on me. "Forget the past two hours."

Thankfully, compelling has become a second habit of mine. The rest if the hospital staff has been compelled and was forced to thin that Lenka is alright but it's confidential to the press. Now that it's sorted, she'll be transferred to a proper unit where she can rest for recovery and she'll be discharged tomorrow afternoon.

After Lenka's transfer of rooms, the press has been forced out of the hospital and was not allowed inside as I requested. Lyra and I have stayed by the side of Lenka's bed till morning but Lyra fell asleep by the bed side, leaving me with my thoughts alone as I watched Lenka sleep.

Whoever did this has mean intentions to kill Lenka or at least hurt her badly but why? Investigation shows that a bomb was planted under her car and exploded half way to the company. None of us knows who did it but I was suspicious of one person.

"Len," Titaia came around soon with food for me and Lyra. "How is Lenka?" She asked with a knit brow due to worrying.

"She's fine but I don't understand something..." I took a box of Chinese food from her and started eating. "How is it that someone managed to sneak a bomb under her car without us noticing it?"

Even she looks confused as to who did this. "I don't know. For all we know, someone's really targeting Lenka. Someone that she knows and knows all of us." She suggested.

There were a handful of people who I didn't trust but is still around Lenka although one recent person is known for her bad reputation.

"The doctor..?" I asked her as I started eating.

"Maybe but we saw the doctor leave and arrive without making detours, right?" Lyra has a point. We knew and saw her leave without touching anything else so it can't be her. Who else then will do it?

"Len, let's leave it alone first. You need rest as much as anyone of us here. I've been asking around who can help us give Lenka better security so this win't happen again." Titaia sat by Lenka's side and gently squeezed her hand.

Lenka's probably a busy girl, going all over the city to manage the company her parents left her but this was not a good sign. If there's anyway I could help her with, I will but what would it be? I'm just an immortal idol after all.

I kept my thoughts to myself as we waited for Lenka to wake up. For now, all we hope is that she's alright. We also need a backstory as to how she survived this accident. With me involved, she's gonna have a lot more headache when she goes back to her normal routine.

Being a busy body as an idol or a company holder isn't easy if you're a known one. I wish we could at least keep our names on a low profile basis...

I didn't even notice the time I just sat there, thinking all sorts of this to myself when--

"Len..len..." Lenka started groaning out my name. I was startled of course so I rushed to her side, holding her hand for her to know I'm right here.

"Lenka, I'm right here." I muttered, combing her soft blonde hair away from the angelic face I always looked at.

"Hnnn.." Lenka started to stir awake and so did Lyra.

"Lenka? We're here." Lyra gentle said and yawned awake but that made Lenka smile despite her eyes half-open.

"Up all night?" She asked.

"Len over here stayed up for you. I fell asleep by your side." Lyra summarized the whole evening as the blonde started to wake fully.

"Lenka, you feel okay?" Titaia asked. Being an elemental has it's perks and with just a flick of a hand, the girl made the room feel fresh with the late summer breeze the blew away the antiseptic smell in the room.

"Yeah, just thirsty...That...what happened with--"

She seemed confused so we summed up the events that happened at the previous night. Lenka snapped awake when she heard that she's been involved in a car explosion accident and she couldn't stop caressing her arms as if she felt the fire burning away her skin.

"I...see.." That was all she could mutter after we all explained it to her.

Titaia glanced at Lyra who made a silent agreement. "We'll give you two some time on your own."

The girls went out of the room and left us both for now. For the whole night, I couldn't help but think about a lot of things but how Lenka thinks of me isn't one. Now, the thought got me frozen like ice.

"Lenka...Nikki's still feeling bad--"

"This conversation isn't about that. Len, I can read your head." She turned to me and the look she had got me bad. It was as if she knew that I was avoiding this part.

"Lenka, I still like Rin. I love her but with you in the picture..." My voice trailed off. The look on her face tells me that she knew where I was heading.

"I plan to give Rin my body."

"What?! Lenka--"
"Lenka, why are you--"

"Look, both of you deserve lives longer than the one you had before. I don't want to be the one in between all of that once this matter is done." Lenka sat up from her bed, her eye slightly glowing.

"Lenka, you don't have to. I know you share the same affection I do with Len! You don't have to move away!" I heard Rin scold the girl in her head, making her wince.

"I agree with Rin. Lenka--"

"This isn't something you two should help me with. It's my decision." She looked up at me. "Your story goes back fifty years ago and even your families have known each other the longest. It's all down in the books. Don't let me change that."

I watched as she stood up only to sit down on my lap. I was speechless and even I can't think of why would she do this. Why did she want to leave her own body?

"For now, I have to make it up to Nikki, apologize to Kano and look for who wants me dead. I don't like trouble." She tugged my shirt down by my neck and without a second thought, she bit my neck. I felt blood leave me system and her tongue on my skin.

"For now..." I muttered and left her to drink to her fill.

There are still matters to be sorted and issues to fix but...

...a chilling shiver went down my spine.

Something was wrong but I couldn't put a finger in it.
