Seeing your comments early in the morning (here in the Philippines) was enough for me to be inspired to write another chapter… ^ ^

Lenka’s P.O.V.

I woke up to a song I recognized from Rin’s album years ago. It was a soothing song that placed a smile on my face.

I looked around and saw that I was in my room, my covers were keeping me warm and I have not changed from when I arrived yesterday. It was fine by me since I rarely crash this way but I must have worried some other people in the house. I forgot to pass by the front door. Ooops…

I stretched out to relieve the soreness of my body and glanced at the clock.

10:37 am.

Was it a weekend?

I was lost in counting the days but I hated how time works. When you’re having fun, it runs too fast. When you’re so down and low, it runs too slow as if it was mocking you.

 I took my phone out and saw why there was a song playing only to find out that someone had missed call me for so many times—Who else but Lyra.

I called back and she picked up in a few rings.

“Hello?” She asked on the other end.

“Lyra, it’s me, Lenka. Why’d you call by the way?” I asked and slowly sat up from bed.

“Oh, it’s Friday and I thought you’d like to come to school, maybe attend classes with me but turns out, even the Dan isn’t here.”

“Lyra, if I had a choice, I’d start the classes by the second hour in the afternoon.” I yawned out and got out of bed. “The Dan must have some sort of plan for the day. Besides, you know they like to start their week end earlier than anyone else in the school, right?”

“Right.” She agreed. “Anyway, you still goin’ to attend classes this afternoon?”

I took a minute or two before I actually answered her question.

“Maybe. I don’t have any one around and the people here must be out in town. Nikki must be with Kano as well.” I told her and turned the heater on.

“Oh, I’ll see you this afternoon then.” She said. “Oh and Akaito would be going back there today. He actually might be back there by now. See ya~”

“Sure, see you.” I said before ending the call with a lousy yawn in front of the mirror.

I was heck tired and I don’t even want to go to school right now seeing that some of the people I like hanging out with won’t be there. Either way, I have to go because I need to nail some quizzes or something.

I took a shower to wake my senses up and changed to the uniform and went out without bothering to fix my hair and breakfast. I just took my bag, keys and a cup of coffee and drove off to school.

It was around half past eleven when I arrived and parked at the school grounds so students who were sent out to early lunch stared at me and redirected their gaze when I tried to look at them. I was tired and my eyes were probably in a glare but I gave no care and continued in our building and walked up to the classroom with my coffee cup at hand.

“Lenka, you look so haggard. What happened?” Someone called behind me when I took my seat in the room and buried my head at my folded arms.

“Shut up and let me sleep before the next period.” I groaned and shut my eyes close.

“Okay but don’t blame me if I finish your orange parfait off.”

My eyes snapped open upon the mention of my favorite desert and I looked at who was talking to me since I didn’t bother guessing.

“Good afternoon, gorgeous.” Len greeted me and gave me a freshly made orange parfait and sat across my desk.

“Thanks~” I smiled, still feeling drowsy, and dug in the treat.

“You know, you could have just asked me to fetch you yesterday night if you couldn’t make it home awake.” Len told me and I met his eyes and it held mine. I was staring…

“Blame Rin. Taking over even for a short while is tiring, you know.” I told him and took another spoonful of my desert.

“Well, I’m glad that you came home safe.” He whispered. “Usually, new blood is one of the most targeted species of vampires. I was just worried about you. Besides, we have that issue with…”

His voice trailed off and I knew where this was going.

La Reyna—the mention of that was annoying for the both of us. So many tried to kill me and I don’t even know what wrong I did. She’s determined to kill me but for what reason? I have no idea.

Speaking of, the riddle that was left to me by that zombie yesterday night…what was it?

She who wields the scepter of moon and crown of hell…

Tower of confusion…

I just can’t relate the both of them together. Who is she and what does she really want from me? I know she really wants to kill me but I’m not going down to burn in hell without knowing that in the world is the issue of this…whoever she is…

“Lenka?” Len snapped me out and I blinked a few times before facing him.

“Yeah?” I took another bite at my food.

“I’ve been asking what happened yesterday night which made you go home so late.” He told me and found his eye brows knitted together.

“I was just walking around town to get some fresh air, that’s all.” I lied.

I just don’t like him worrying. I don’t even know him that much but I feel like I’ve known him since forever.

That’s because I knew him. Your senses are telling you that can trust him. Rin told me and she sounded like she just woke up.

I just did.

Riiight…

I looked at Len and smiled at him.

Maybe it is about time that I get to know a good person better than the hunches of my instincts…

“Well, you should take care if you plan to take a walk. I heard that you don’t go out much.” He told me with a smile.

“I don’t but I usually drive around and go by the beach when it’s clear out and a full moon.” I told him.

“Who wouldn’t? The view would be a waste if you didn’t get to see it.” Len smiled.

Something still bothers me about him…I don’t know what but something does.

After a few minutes, the bell rang and I just have finished my food that Len gave. Lyra spotted me and gave me a hug before she pulled Len to his proper seat and waited for the teacher to arrive.

As for me, I was dozing off and thinking about what is the deal with this La Reyna. I’m just curious…

I know something will come up soon. I have a feeling in my guts…

Nikki’s P.O.V.

“Nikki, why are you pouting?” Kano asked and handed me an ice cream that he bought.

We are currently at a park, not too famous but is quiet, not too far from the mansion as well. Kano decided to take me here to take a breather from the cramped walls of the mansion. He thought I was bored so he carried me here.

Yes, carried.

And now, I was pouting because he woke me up too early. I was supposed to wake up a little later after 4 in the afternoon but noooo, Kano had to wake me up to take me here.

Well, I supposed it’s nice to be here and all and this would be a perfect spot for a quiet picnic.

I face Kano and too the ice cream that he was handing me.

“Next time, don’t wake me up too early. It’s just mid-day.” I told him and sighed before gobbling up the cone of goodness.

He chuckled and ruffled my hair where I actually took a liking.

We don’t know each other that much yet Kano treated me like I’m his girlfriend. Well, I sort of am since we are each other’s destine. It was cute how he was treating me.

I smiled at him and lay down at his lap after I finished my ice cream and closed my eyes.

The silence and the breeze of the afternoon felt nice and I felt the small chill. Autumn was fast approaching but won’t really come until November or so.

“You know, Nikki,” Kano spoke up and started stoking my hair back. “I don’t know you that much yet.”

I opened my eyes and looked up at him with a small smile.

“Then you can get to know me know if you want. It’s really simple.”  I told him and placed my hand at his cheek. “A memory time travel.”

He looked at me and chuckled.

“Why not. It won’t be that hard would it?”

I shook my head and made a wider smile.

“No it won’t but fair warning: my memories are not that one would take a liking to.”

I closed my eyes and linked my memories for him to see.
