Third Date 2/2
Walking into the academy building, you stalked through the quiet halls and peeked inside every classroom in search of one certain teenager. The entire ground floor was empty so you went into the second floor but found out that he wasn't there either. You sighed, tired from all the walking since the school had almost 50 rooms in each floor.
Glancing up the flight of stairs to the third floor, a familiar figure noticed you and smirked slightly. A pair of hands covered your eyes and you smiled. "Sabo?" You guessed. The voice gave out a low sexy chuckle and you gasp inwardly. "Try again," He rumbles and removes his hands from your eyes so that you can see him.
You spun around and grinned. "Hey Law!" You cheerfully greet the newcomer as he waves.
You hadn't seen Law around much, except the time Usopp stole his hat, you wondered about what he had been up to these days.
As you walk together with him to the third floor, you began bombarding him with questions about Kid's condition. Law answered them honestly, not even annoyed that you wouldn't shut up as one question came after the other. For some reason he liked hearing your voice. It was sweet and soft, like an innocent child in a teenager's body. To him, it was like music to his ears.
The third floor was empty so you went to the fourth floor of the building with Law following you. "Don't you have somewhere to go?" You ask curiously. He shakes his head and sighs, "Everyone is busy with this Princess Ball thing that I got bored in my room."
You nod as a door opened making you both stop in your tracks and turn to the direction of the sound. A blue haired man stopped as well, his frown turning into a wide grin as he sees you. "(Name)!!"
You smile, "Franky! I haven't seen you lately!"
"Ah, there's been a lot of new students to pick up." Franky turned to Law and nods. "Hey Law."
"Franky." Law greets him with a smirk, clearly remembering the day the crazy bus driver sent the bus flying into the ocean.
You smiled, temporarily forgetting about why you were here, and just chatted with the two men about what happened lately. According to Law, Kid was going to be able to attend the ball later. You sighed in relief at the news but then realized that there was a possibility that he could be your partner. You silently prayed to whoever was out there otherwise.
Franky was going out to bring yet another new student into the academy so he had to leave. As he walked through the doorway which he was standing in, you peeked inside and found out that it was the music room. Spotting a piano beside the window, you walked over and took a seat on the shiny black chair, carefully opening the lid.
"(Name)-ya, I didn't know you could play the piano." Law muses, walking over and sitting down next to you.
"That's because I can't." You laugh and played with the keys, a wonderful melody sounding and Law smiles.
"You sure about that, (Name)-ya?" He chuckles as he takes your hands into his. You blush slightly from the gesture and obediently allowed his hands to control your fingers over the keys, producing a sweet melody that made you smile.
Law watches as your lips curled into a grin, no longer minding that he was holding your hands, and he felt himself enjoying your look of amusement. The sound of the piano filled the room with music and you could almost see people in ballgowns and tuxedos dancing their way around you and Law. It was certainly magical that something as simple as this could widen your imagination.
You were so engrossed into the activity that you hadn't heard the door opening and a figure standing at the doorway, his frown clearly saying that he did not like what he is seeing. He watched as you and Law were smiling at each other, his hands gripping tightly on to his sleeves as his arms were crossed over his chest. The worst part was that you didn't even notice him coming in or maybe you pretended that you didn't.
"(Name)."
You and Law stopped playing and turned to the voice that had spoken. How long was he standing there watching you? And why does he look so upset?
"Sabo what's—-" You began but cut off when Law suddenly stood up. "Law?" You blinked confusedly at him as he gives you one last smile before exiting the room. The atmosphere grew tense when Law left, his footsteps echoing from the staircase as he went back down, and you were stuck with a very displeased looking Sabo.
You observed Sabo's face. He obviously did not look happy but because of what? Did you do something wrong? You couldn't remember doing or saying anything offensive towards him so he should be happy in seeing you.
"Sa—" You opened your mouth to speak but squeaked when he suddenly walks over and grabs you by the wrist and drags you out. "S-Sabo?!"
He didn't respond as his face was downcast and his strides were long and quick, as if he was in a hurry to get somewhere. You had to take three small steps for every single step he took.
Opening a door to an empty room, he pulled you inside and slammed the door shut. Hearing the clicking of a lock, you look towards the blonde. "Hey Sabo what's gotten in t-"
You were suddenly pushed against the wall, feeling his muscular arms on either side of your body to prevent escape, you gasp at seeing Sabo's face. He did not look happy at all.
Before you could say anything more, he smashed his lips into yours for a passionate yet forced and angry kiss. You widened your eyes from the suddenness of his actions and gasp at the feeling of something biting down your lower lip. Taking the unintended opportunity you had given him, he slips his tongue into your mouth and you melted in his arms as your tongues danced.
Somehow Sabo seemed different, he was never this forceful against you and you worried. Lungs burning for desperate need of oxygen, you break away and panted, your eyes looking into his and seeing sadness in them.
Sabo bit down his lip as he saw the confusion written all over your face. "(Name)..." He trailed off and looked away, shameful of his actions towards the one girl he ever fell in love with. He didn't like it when he saw you with that other guy, he despised the happiness that poured out from your smile because it wasn't directed towards him. It was towards another man.
"What happened, Sabo?" You ask in concern as he now wouldn't even look at you in the eye.
"I...I'm...sorry..." He whispered. You yelped as he unexpectedly hugged you tightly, making you even more anxious.
"Sabo—"
"I love you (Name)..." He said, almost as if out of desperation, his voice sounded so angry and sad at the same time that you were even more confused. Questions spun around in Sabo's mind: Why were you alone in a room with that boy? Did you like the guy? Did you lose interest in the idea of being in a relationship with him?
"I love you too Sabo but—" You pushed him away to get a glimpse of his face. "Why are you angry? Did I do something wrong?"
At the last question, he looked at you in a very serious expression that sent chills down your back. "You were with him." He simply said.
You blinked, "Him?? You mean Law?"
The gears in your head clicked and you widen your eyes in surprise. "Wait, were you jealous of me and Law?!"
Sabo averted his eyes and pouted childishly, "I don't like it when you flirt with another man."
You scoffed at him and flicked his forehead, "I WAS NOT FLIRTING!!"
"You were all smiling at him and looking into his eyes." He rubs the spot on his forehead where you hit him. Once he stopped rubbing and dropped his hand, you flicked it again on the same spot. "OWw! Hey!"
"JUST BECAUSE I'M ALL SUNSHINE AND RAINBOWS WITH ANOTHER DUDE DOES NOT MEAN THAT I AM FLIRTING WITH HIM!"
You panted heavily, you didn't really mean to shout at him, but somehow you did anyways. Sabo frowned awkwardly at the stupid misunderstanding and looked down to avoid the look of hell that was practically burning in your eyes.
Once you calmed down a bit, you embraced him and stand on your toes to bring him into another kiss, a more loving and softer one this time. You could feel Sabo's smile against your lips and he wrapped his arms around your waist, pulling you closer to him.
"I love you and only you, alright? I wouldn't agree to be your...your girlfriend if I didn't..." You mumble the words shyly when you both broke the kiss. You weren't really used to the title of being Sabo's girlfriend yet.
Sabo grinned happily at your words, if he were a dog then his tail would be wagging right about now. "I loved you first though." He chuckles, kissing all over your face and making you giggle at how ticklish his hair felt when they brushed your skin.
"So!" You say, "About that third date?"
Sabo smirked and traced your lips with his finger, a suggestion popping into his mind, "We could stay here and continue where we left off."
You hummed a response as you looked outside the window. Everyone should probably be in their rooms getting ready, why not enjoy a bit before the party started?
"I'll consider that suggestion~"
