Second Date 2/2

Ace sat on your lap, arms folded in annoyance. "I'm gonna murder that Flamingo." He grumbles, moving his face away from Buggy as he tries to finish the face paint on the scowling boy. You couldn't help but giggle, this was definitely the BEST day ever.

Sabo smirks at him, cheek resting on his fist. "Come on, Ace. It's not that bad actually." He chuckles and messes his hair, causing Ace to slap his hand away and scowl at him.

"Well I don't see you in this stupid outfit!" He growls, opening his arms and gesturing to the full body jumpsuit he was forced to wear. It was orange, like his hat, and had white polka dots on it. The suit's collar was light blue and puffy, fully concealing his neck, and he wore over-sized, pointy, red clown shoes.

To top it off, he was going to be stuck like this for a whole freaking week.

Sabo sniggers and he sends him a glare. "Sorry." He coughs, regaining his composure and smiling at both of you. You blush, twirling your (H/C)-colored locks, and smile back.

"Done!" Buggy grins and stands up, stepping aside for Sabo, Luffy, Shanks, and Robin as they watched from behind him. The four stared at the furious ten year old and smile.

Ace fumed, the top of his head bursting into flames, "WIPE THOSE GRINS OFF YOUR FACES YOU—"

"Aww, sweetie, don't be mean to your elders~!" You cooed and pulled Ace into a hug.

Instantly the flames thinned out and disappeared. He didn't fight back—because he didn't like the idea of hurting you—and just slouches there in your arms and glares at everyone in front of him.

"Never thought I'd get to see Ace as a kid again." Luffy blinks and pinches Ace's cheek. Buggy smirks, "You must have been a handful to watch over back then."

"Oww! Oi, Luffy! Cut that out!" Ace snaps and shoos the hand away.

"He's so adowable~!" Shanks comments with a pleased expression. Robin nods in agreement while Sabo just sat there in front of you and trying his best to suppress his laugh.

"ARGHHH!!! I AM GOING TO BURN THAT PINK LOVING SONUVABITCH!!!" Ace screams in frustration, ruffling his hair as he explodes in anger.

"Ace, burning people is what got you in trouble in the first place." You remind him. He clicked his tongue in annoyance and crosses his arms. "It'll only be for a week, OKAY? It's not like it's the end of the world, UNDERSTAND?"

He frowns, looking over his shoulder at you. "Tch. Kid started it though!"

"He'll get his punishment after he recovers." Shanks says.

"It'll be a while before they heal up." Robin informs everyone. You cast your eyes downward and avoid Luffy's concerned look towards you.

"Ace has always been such a feisty kid." Sabo remarks. Ace began to heat up and flame on again, but stops once he felt your hand on his shoulder, immediately remembering that your hands got burned because of his fire.

"Ace." You warn.

He scoffs at Sabo and frowns at you, "But mo—" His eyes widen and pink dusted his cheeks as he saw your shocked expression. "—ooOOOOAAAHHH!!!!"

Everyone laughs as his head lights up on fire from embarrassment. Shanks wipes a tear from his eye and wheezes. "D-Did you almost call her mom?!" He laughs.

You couldn't help squealing and smile at Sabo out of pure happiness. Sure the first date kinda sucked but now you had a feeling that things were definitely going to turn around for once.

"So then," Sabo chuckles as he stood up and holds out a hand to you. "Shall we resume our date, mom?" He winks.

You look to Ace, who was boiling in anger, then smiled sweetly at your new boyfriend. "Why yes, dad, I would love to." You winked back at him and take his hand.

"I hate you guys." Ace grumbles.

~

After you and Sabo left, by running away from a very angry and embarrassed little Ace, you thought about where you were going to next. The second day of the festival was centered around rides, attractions, and toys, so Sabo brought you to a ride that looked like a pirate ship. It was set up at the side of the festival and there was a decent line so he figured it was pretty good.

"Ever been to one of these?" You ask Sabo and held his hand when he saw the ship started swinging back and forth.

"Nope." He pales, giving your hand a slight squeeze from nervousness. The ride seemed harmless—-from AFAR. Now he was starting to regret bringing you here first.

The staff member nods to both of you. You noticed that you were next in line and step inside the gondola with Sabo shakily following behind. The steel bars locked you securely into your seat but you couldn't help but feel a little tensed. You look to your left and see Sabo gripping the bars tightly, his knuckles slowly turning into a fine shade of white.

"Are you okay?" You ask warily, poking him in the cheek and making him jump in his seat. "We could have gone to another ride, you know."

Before he could utter a response the boat started to rock. Sabo reflexively grabs your left arm with his right hand and felt all the blood drain from his face as the speed began to pick up.

Everyone in the ship screamed in delight. Well, almost everyone. You laugh out loud and raise one of your arms into the air as the other one grips on to the bar.

Once the ride was over, you had to help Sabo to his feet since he was *this* close to collapsing. You took a few minutes break before heading over to your next destination, the swing carousel.

You waved at Luffy and Ace when you saw them get into their swings in front of yours. Sabo was behind you, smiling at Ace as he was being treated like a kid by Luffy—who was suppose to be the youngest one.

The ride starts and the swings began to rise. You grip on to the chains of the swing loosely, although you didn't really needed it because you were strapped in to the chair.

You smile as you look behind you and see Sabo laughing. Everyone, yes even little Ace, had a great time. That was until Luffy found out that he lost his hat. So you and the brothers spent ten minutes finding it, eventually spotting it on a tree being used as a bird's nest.

You waved goodbye to the boys while you and Sabo continued to look for more rides. There was one particular attraction that caught Sabo's eye and he stops walking, making you blink up at him and look to where his head was facing.

Ohhh boy...

"Let's go?" Sabo grins at you excitedly. You couldn't exactly say no to that face but—you didn't want to say yes either.

The abandoned building, that used to be the old academy before they built a new one, sat there with dark storm clouds hovering above the roofs. It was large like a mansion and had a single rusty old bell hanging at the center building.

What scared you most was the group of ghosts circling around the entire area.

A girl with curly pink hair holding a parasol was sitting on the attraction's sign, her eyes were shadowed by the rim of her large black top hat. The sign was scary as hell too. With it's dramatic blinking light bulbs that edged the borders and the words: HAUNTED MANSION written in dripping red paint, revealing cracked wood underneath, sent a shiver down your spine.

"Welcome to the Haunted Mansion," The girl says with a smirk upon seeing your wobbly legs. "Careful. Don't die." She giggles.

You wanted to tell Sabo that you didn't want to go in but the curious sparkle in his eyes made you clam up.

Long story short, you reluctantly agreed to go inside.

~

You gave out a blood curdling scream and choke Sabo's neck with a bear hug, wrapping your legs around his torso and scream some more as the flesh eating zombies roared a moan towards you. Their lips were pale as their skin, which were stitched here and there.

Tomato ketchup—at least that's what you hoped it was—was dripping down their chin like they just came from a buffet of meat. HUMAN meat. The pupils on their lifeless eyes were small and were the only things visible against the white irisless sclera.

"(N-Name)?! Air! I need air!" Sabo chokes as he wrapped his arms around you and quickly walked away from the zombies.

He spots a door and opens it, hurrying inside before you choke him to death. You release your hold and took deep breaths.

"S-Sorry..." You apologize sheepishly, glancing cautiously around the poorly lit room. "Where are we?"

"D-Dunno.." Sabo coughs, rubbing his neck and looking around with squinted eyes. It was too dim to see clearly but he could have sworn that the mannequin at the corner moved.

You take hold of his hand and squeeze really hard, stinging pain in your palms making you hiss and release instantly. "Are you okay? Does your hands hurt?" Sabo takes your hands gently and faces your palms up, you blush as he brought them to his lips and kisses them tenderly.

You relax after each kiss and smile at him. "Thanks. I-It feels better now."

A shuffling in the room made both of you gasp and cling to each other as you looked to the source of the sound. "The mannequin's gone..." Sabo mutters gravely, eyeing the corner where the lifeless doll had once stood.

Your throat went dry and you whimpered a cry for help. Soft clacking of heels approached both of you. A woman with short straight cut blonde hair and somber eyes walks up and stops just a few feet from where you stood. In her hand, she had a stack of plates piled up.

"Uhh—" You started.

"I hate plates..." The woman muttered, grabbing a plate from her stack.

"—Oookay?" Sabo finished, placing himself between you and the danger.

"I HATE PLATES! I WISH EVERYONE OF THEM WILL DISAPPEAR!!!" The woman now shrieks, throwing plates at you like shurikens as you and Sabo dodged them while frantically trying to open the door.

Once the door opens Sabo picks you up and carries you while running at full speed. "Sabo she's gaining on us!!!" You scream. The woman was chasing you now, throwing plates at Sabo's feet while he jumped and dodged them skillfully.

"WHAT'S WRONG WITH HER?!?!" Sabo yells in panic as the woman picks up speed.

"HOW SHOULD I KNOW?!" You holler back and gasp as you saw a pair of eyes right in front of yours, piercing through your soul (at least that's what it felt like). "RUN SABO! RUUUN!!!" You cried, grabbing a vase from a random table as you passed by and hurled it at your chaser.

The pink-haired girl laughed at the sight of the two of you running out of the building.

"Let's never...go back...in there...again..." Sabo pants, carefully setting you down then plopped into the wooden bench just outside the old school.

He was sweating bullets. I mean, who wouldn't after running around the entire building being chased by a maniac who uses plates as a weapon?

You took deep breaths along with him and laugh, "That was...fun though..."
