"And where the hell do you think you're going?!"

Oh, what now? Noelle thought, rubbing her forehead, trying to get rid of the slight ache of being hit with the door. Noelle was hoping that she could somehow escape school before being seen by Berdly, but it seemed that Lady Luck wasn't going to be in her favour.
Of course luck isn't going to be on my side! Noelle mentally groaned out to herself.

All she wanted was to see was Susie and wanted to get rid of the doubts she had with Susie and Kris secretly being lovers or something. And Susie running off and disappearing for the entire day to only god knows where didn't help with that suspicion! She didn't even know if she was going to even find Susie for the rest of the day! Maybe Noelle should check Kris' house? Where else did Susie always hang around? Damn it, Noelle! Think!

Then again.... did Noelle even want to check Kris' house? Maybe her and Susie are doing something... naughty in there! That did somehow make sense to Noelle—Susie and Kris do live together and are friends!

First, she had to deal with Berdly, who had his arms crossed, staring at her with a pissed off face. "Well? Are you gonna answer me, or do you want me to repeat myself more slowly for your stupid brain?!"

"What do you mean? I'm going home!" Noelle said, voice a little raised. She was tired of being treated like crap by him!

Berdly puffed his cheeks, "That's not what I'm taking about, idol—"

"Are you seriously trying to blame me for this morning?!"  Noelle cut him off. Raising her voice was really starting to hurt Noelle's chest and throat, but she was going to push through that pain.

"You ruined my whole presentation, you bitch!" Berdly growled. "You didn't even let me preform!"

First of all... Noelle felt her eye twitch, Ms. Alphys said we could present later.... Was what she SHOULD have said, but she didn't. Maybe hanging out with Susie this last week or so was starting to make her a delinquent? Fuck it. I'm going to let go of my manners this one time! Noelle, truly angry for one of the first times in her life, stomped over to the smaller bird-man and gave him a hard slap on the cheek.

Remember... he can't do anything back to you. He's smaller than you! He deserves this!

To be excepted, Berdly stood there, taking the slap while standing there like a stature, obviously shocked. "Ouch! What was that fo—?!" All of the sudden, Berdly got pushed down to the cold, tiled floor by Noelle. She didn't even know she could push someone that hard! He hit the floor, head and neck landing on the corner of a table. "Just, shut the hell up!" She yelled, gritting her teeth a bit, "Your chirping is so annoying!"

Before he had anything else to say, Noelle stormed past him and slammed the door after herself. Once outside of the nurses office, she stood still and looked down to her shoes, a wide grin on her face. She chuckled slightly, feeling happy that she finally stood up to him after all these years, "Hehe, I finally stood up to him!" She giggled, tired of being treated like crap and suddenly all that chest pain went away!

"Anyways..." She cut off her thoughts with a mutter, "I guess I'll go look for Susie and Kris..." She gave a slight nod to herself, now walking down the hallway to the front doors. She paused in front of the large doors and began to have another coughing fit. She kneeled down, covering her mouth with one hand while the other was against the wall, coughing heavily. She felt some petals mixed with blood come up and she hacked some up on her hand. She wheezed for a moment before pulling her body up. The petals and blood fell to the floor, but she did not care.

Noelle slowly regained her composure and opened the doors, stumbling outside, instantly getting a whiff of the strong stench of cigarette smoke. She coughed again, trying to fan it out of her face.

"Yo!" She heard Susie say, dropping and stomping on the cigarette as she moved away from leaning on the brick wall of the school. "How are ya feeling?"

"S-Susie?" Noelle asked, eyes widening a bit. She didn't see Kris anywhere and was secretly happy about it! Maybe her and Kris weren't secret lovers behind her back? Noelle gave Susie a happy grin and unconsciously gave her a big hug. "W-Where were you?! I was so worried!"

Susie, of course not being a hundred percent comfortable with Noelle's affection, instantly tensed up. "Oh, um..."

"Ah—Sorry!" Noelle felt her girlfriend's body tense up and instantly pulled away. Maybe she should have asked to hug her first? Even though that they WERE technically dating, Noelle did ask before hugging or kissing Susie when she left their gaming sessions at Noelle's house. "....I-I should have asked... huh...?" She said, sheepishly stepping back and looking down, face a little red with embarrassment.

"Nah.." Susie brought up. "I actually don't mind you hugging me without asking, it's just I'm not fully used to it?" She let out a soft chuckle. "And where I was... well.." her mouth turned into a wide grin, "You're not gonna fucking believe it, but did you know that there's a weird ass portal to some AWESOME dark world in the supply closet!?"

...Eh?

Noelle never heard THAT before.

"Susie? Are you oka—"

"Listen, I swear I'm not on drugs! I've never even done drugs before!" Susie laughed out, muttering something under her breath, "well, maybe weed once or twice..."

Noelle didn't fully hear what Susie said under her breath, something about weeds? Does she eat weeds too? Since she didn't fully hear that last sentence, Noelle wasn't going to say anything about the weeds; not yet, anyways.

"Anyways, I'll tell you what happened!" Susie kept that grin on her face before she suddenly remembered something, "The phone—" she suddenly dug her hand in her cardigan pocket and rummaged around for a bit before grabbing something. "Ah—" She turned on the phone, an awkward silence between them for about ten seconds while the phone booted up before Susie tapped the touchscreen before showing Noelle something.

It was a photo that Susie took of herself and Kris in the dark world. They really weren't doing shady drugs after all! Her and Kris seemed to be posing and goofing around, Susie had one of her arms in a flexing position while Kris had a straight face on while they did a peace sign in the background.

Their appearances were different, alright! Susie's skin and clothes had changed distractedly, and Noelle thought that the studded bracelets on her arms and neck made her look a little more... hot and badass.

Meanwhile, Kris' skin colour was now a light blue and they had a set of skintight armour on. Noelle still couldn't see their gender, though...

"See?" Susie brought up again, "Told ya we weren't doing drugs!"

Noelle cleared her throat, feeling it getting tickly and sore. "Ahem... well... w-what happened?" She asked, breathing a little heavily.

Susie noticed Noelle clearing her throat and that she was starting to get uncomfortable. "Well... first, uh... let's sit down on a bench or something."

Noelle was about to say something, but started going into another coughing fit. She simply nodded slowly in agreement. She covered her mouth with her hands, leaning down while she coughed.

"Do you um.. want me to grab your water...?"

"Y-Y....yes..." she could barely muster, feeling some blood come up. She coughed it up onto her hands. Susie walked next to her and leaned down to Noelle's backpack, grabbing her water container from it. She handed it to Noelle, who had her hands moved from her mouth, showing her red hands and some blood falling from the side of her mouth.

Susie saw and bit her lip, feeling guilty about Noelle's declining health. She silently handed the water container to Noelle, who took and drank some.

Fuck. I need to fix this. I don't want Noelle to die. Wait? Does that mean l love her now? No... if I did truly love her, she wouldn't be in such crap shape. Susie thought to herself, slowly kneeling down and awkwardly moving her hand behind Noelle and rubbing her back. "Is that helping?" She asked.

Not really, but I like your warm touch. It does feel nice when you pat my back... Noelle thought, sipping some water. She wasn't going to say that to Susie, of course. That would be too creepy. She just nodded her head.

Quickly, the pain went away for the most part, and Noelle stood up, clutching her chest. She slowly released her hand and moved it down, looking up at Susie, who was standing up again and gave her a slight smile. "Okay. I'm getting cold, and it's getting dark, so let's go to the diner for some hot chocolate, and you can tell me what happened."

"Alright then. Do you uh... need me to lean on?" Susie asked.

"I can walk... I think..."

And the two of them walked off the property to the diner on the other side of their small town. Noelle, of course, was moving slightly slower due to the pains in her chest. She often had to stop and catch her breath, and Susie would walk ahead, only to stop and wait for Noelle. But, Susie wasn't rude about it. She just stopped and waited for Noelle to catch up.

Susie wanted to help her in some way, maybe pick her up and carry her since she was walking so slow, but she didn't want to be weird or awkward.

They made it to the diner about ten long minutes later. Noelle was out of breath at this point. They walked inside and got a booth for the both of them. Noelle panted, "Was I always out of breath so easily?" She wheezed out, slipping into the booth. Susie sat across from her and instantly went for the menu. She grabbed it and opened it, "Hm... might as well have dinner..."

Noelle was just going to order a hot chocolate, so she wasn't going to say anything about Susie stealing the menu. She was also going to pay, since she knew Susie had very little (or no) money. While Susie was looking at the menu, she pulled out her phone to see what her mother had texted her earlier, since she never had the chance to check it in the nurses office.

Hey, sweetie! Hope your day is well, especially after our talk this morning..
I am going to be visiting your father tonight after some meetings, so I won't be home until later. Also, you had mentioned you were dating that girl Susie, right? I would like to meet her sometime. Maybe we can all have dinner together when I get home?

Love, mom.

Seeing this message made Noelle smile. Thanks, Mom... she smiled to herself, putting her phone away. Maybe she will invite Susie over this evening and they can play some more games ? She was going to bring it up after Susie was done telling what happened during the afternoon.

After a minute or two, the waitress, who happened to be Catti, came up to them and asked what they wanted to order.

"I-I'll have a glass of water and a hot chocolate, please." Noelle said politely, giving Catti a smile. Since she was on the job, she just gave Noelle a small smile back. "And you?" She asked Susie.

A wide grin appeared on Susie's face, "I'll have the burger and fries, but instead of the salad, I'll have extra fries. Oh, and I'll have a side of fries with that too. And a root beer in the largest glass you got." Susie said, putting the menu down and sliding it over to Catti. "Did you hear that, or do you want me to repeat myself?"

Catti shot a glare at Susie's rudeness as she scribbled down the order. "I got it, thank you very much. Alright, I'll be back with your items shortly." She said, turning around and walking away.

Noelle giggled at the amount of food Susie ordered. Susie probably hadn't eaten all day, but Noelle found it humorous that she wanted more fries instead of the salad her burger came with. "Anyways, what happened this afternoon?" She slowly asked, taking one last sip of her water from the bottle.

"Alright." Susie grinned, looking back to Noelle. "I showed you the picture of what we looked like, so you gotta believe me, right?"

Noelle nodded.

"So after the teacher told us to get pens from the supply closet, we casually walked over there. Simple, right?"

Noelle nodded again.

"Well, not! Because that closest was dark as fuck when we went there, and we couldn't find the god damn light switch! After looking for the switch for a minute like a couple of idiots, the floor somehow began to shake and ... fell? And the next thing I knew, I was looking like that in the dark world."

Catti came back with Noelle's water and Susie's pop. She looked at Noelle, "Would you like your hot chocolate now or when I hand the food out to Susie?"

Catti coming back brought Noelle out of her trance of listening to Susie and she flinched, "Ah—Um... when you give S-Susie her food!" Catti nodded and walked off to do her work.

"So... this dark world..."

"I dunno if that place is called that, Kris and I just started calling that place the dark world. Speaking of Kris, I soon found them and we continued on our merry ways, looking for a way to get out. We then met up with this little wizard goat thingy named Ralsei. They were fucking annoying, trying to spare and not fight, even though there was shit trying to fight and kill us! Anyways.. we soon found ourselves in this castle with a lot of cards....."

"I-I hope you didn't get injured or anything there..." Noelle brought up. Why was everything out to get her and Kris there in the first place? Did she and Kris fight back? W-What if they hurt or...even killed anyone?!

"Oh, nah! I didn't get injured at all!" She grinned. Of course I didn't get hurt! Everyone, on the other hand... might have. Susie thought to herself, chuckling in her head as she took the wrap off of her straw and stuck it in the glass, taking a huge sip of her root beer. "Ah, that hit the spot!" Susie said, "Anyways... we soon got to this card castle, where we learned that was the way to get back... since it's called a castle, there were guards and shit, so we beat em up and escaped. We... uh...walked through this portal and found ourselves lying on the floor in another classroom. When we went into the hallway, Kris left and I heard Berdly in the nurses office, talking to someone. I thought it was you, so I waited outside." Susie said, leaning back in her chair.

Now that I say it... I guess I should have helped Noelle if Berdly was bitching at her instead of standing outside. "It was such a fucking weird day...God damn..."

Catti came back with Susie's food and Noelle's drink and placed it down in front of them. "Enjoy your food."

"Thanks!" Noelle smiled at Catti, taking the hot mug. She could smell the nice cocoa.

"W-Well... I'm glad you're okay..." Noelle continued, blowing on the hot drink. "And..." she blushed a bit, "T-Thank you for waiting for me..."

Susie was already eating fries with her hands, "Mmm— oh sorry, and uh... yeah no problem. Well... that's my afternoon, at least... kinda exciting, I guess...."

Kinda surprised my story was believable. Susie thought to herself.
Of course she had gone to the dark world with Kris and went to the castle and escaped; that part of the story is true.

The part that she didn't tell Noelle, however, was a little more important...

Kris and Susie had pulled a genocide on the dark world.

Oh, and Susie was pissed off at Kris for kissing her. She didn't know why Kris kissed her in the first place, but she realized she actually forgot to tell anyone that the two of them were dating!
