Context: Wednesday meets a shy guy who works temporarily at Nevermore as a substitute for an employee.
Enid strolled with Wednesday as she broached him about new gossip she had heard and read on social media. Her goth classmate didn't give it much importance until they got to the patio and saw a guy cleaning one of the tables.
"Who is that?" She asked, surprised because she had never seen him there."Ah, that's Tn," Enid replied, "he works here temporarily, substituting for Mr. Godson." He's our age, his favorite coffee is—but Wednesday stopped her by raising her hand.—Enough, I haven't asked you to tell me about his life.
They both came over to say hello, or rather, Enid went to say hello.
"Hello," she said cheerfully."Hello," the young man returned the greeting."I'm Enid, Enid Sinclair," he said, holding out his hand."Yn," she hugged and was followed with a hug."Enid stop harassing others," she intervened, pulling her roommate away from her."She wasn't harassing him!"
Upon leaving, she introduced herself.
"Wednesday, Wednesday Addams, if she gives you trouble, please tell me, so I have a reason to suffocate her while she sleeps." To their surprise, the young man was not scared, but rather laughed."You're very..." he searched for a word."Sinister?" she asked, looking at him."I don't think you're sinister." You may scare others but..." When she realized that she was looking at him so fixedly, she looked away.—Ah, we have to go to class!—Enid warned—see you Tn!.
They both ran to class. That same afternoon, the young man would meet her in the library, which was deserted. He was cleaning the tables there and then he would have to do the same with some statues.
"I see you like reading," he commented when he saw the only person sitting reading, who was none other than Wednesday.—I think reading is fascinating and it's better than social mediaDon't you have social networks?"Only one, and because Enid did it." She didn't take her eyes off the book.-I see.
He continued cleaning him and sat down for a bit. He was tired since he required several people but he was alone.
"Do you need to clear this table?" she asked."Oh, don't worry, I'll do it later."
She stood up after closing the book and walked over. She examined him from top to bottom.
"You try very hard to clean something that is going to fill up with dust again," she commented, looking at him with cold eyes."I need the money to help my mother." She widened her eyes."Is she sick?"—Yes, and I need to work to contribute money at home.
She looked at him with slightly wider eyes than usual and wiped the sweat from his forehead with a handkerchief.
"Your mother must be proud of you," he said."I guess that's what I want."
Wednesday began removing the sweat from his entire forehead and then from the rest of his face.
—When you're done, come find me—he didn't understand anything but he accepted—in my room.
She said goodbye and let Tn do the work. That same night he went to the indicated place and Wednesday he opened the door. Enid did not take long to appear behind, surprised because she did not know anything about the matter.
"What are you doing here?" she asked, looking at her digital watch, puzzled.-This...- I called him. Today there is an open party in Jerichó, you and I are going to have fun for a while—he grabbed her things before Enid's gaze.
The young man was surprised.
"Um...I..." He didn't know what to say.
Wednesday came back to the door.
"I've already talked to your mother about it." Don't worry, I invite you—she grabbed his hand and they left together. Bianca, who was going to Jerichó, would be the driver along with two other girls.
The young man could only greet embarrassed. During the journey, he was silent without saying anything while Wednesday talked to the other girls.
—Okay mate, see you later—was what the mermaid said before leaving with them and disappearing into the crowd.
They started walking while looking at the food stalls.
"Can I ask you something?" she looked at him.—Why do you invite me? Is there a reason?
She continued on her way for a few minutes without saying anything.
—For some strange reason... there's something that calls me about you—that caught him by surprise.-From my?-That's how it is. And I want to find out why—said that, he intertwined the fingers of her hand with the boy's—don't say anything or you'll regret it—she threatened with a small blush.-Understood.
End?
This is my own idea :)
