Short Paragraph-or-so Stories I Write When I Get Bored in School
As the title says, I'm going to type up for you some short paragraph-or-so stories I write when I get bored in school. Here we go!
Story 1
"Can you ever forgive me?" She sobbed, falling on her knees and looking up at me with her midnight black eyes pleadingly. I look at her, steel filling my gaze.
"No."
Story 2
She threw herself on me, wrapping her arms around my waist and burying her face in my shoulder. I could hear her hiccuping sobs even as I felt the tears soak through the fabric of my shirt.
"You found me!" She cried, finally pulling her face from my shoulder. I nodded, tears gathering in my own eyes as they met hers.
"I did promise, didn't I?"
Story 3
He roared in anger and jumped in front of me, standing there protectively. He stared my assailant down, seeming to grow in size as he was filled with rage.
"Don't you dare lay a hand on him!"
Story 4
I closed my eyes and braced myself for the hit. But instead of the sting of a hand to my cheek, I heard the smack of the had hitting someone else. My eyes snapped open and I saw my best friend. His head was snapped to the side and there was a red mark on his jaw. I stared, wide-eyed, as he turned his head back to face the person who had hit him.
"Get out of my way." The person said. My friend growled and stood up taller, his broad shoulders and thick torso blocking my view of the other man.
"I don' think so." He said, cracking his knuckles and glaring down at the other man, looming over his shorter figure.
"Thank you." I whispered.
Story 5
The sky flashed with lightning as I ran through the trees, the trunks and lower hanging branches flicking into and out of my vision. I ran from the monster chasing me, the wind masking its howls and the pounding of rain on the canopy of leaves hiding its footsteps. I couldn't let it catch me. I didn't want to die.
Story 6
He watched as the earth beneath them shook. He stood there as the ground split open. He listened as the people screamed. He smiled when they fell. "Today," he whispered to no one at all. "Today the world ends." He closed his eyes and sighed.
She jumped to her feet when the ground began to shake. She stared as the earth split apart. She screamed with the others as everyone ran. She fell. "So," she said quietly as the sky grew farther away. "So this is how I die." She closed her eyes and fell into oblivion.
Story 7
"Do you love me?" The girl whispered into her lover's ear. They pulled away from each other as the other girl looked at her with wide, shocked eyes.
"Of course I do! Do you not believe me when I tell you?" Her voice soft. The first girl dropped her head.
"I-I guess I don't. I really just wonder why." The first girl was embarrassed to admit.
"I love you because you are beautiful. Because you are smart, and brave, and kind. I love you because you are you." The other girl replied.
"Okay." The girl said quietly, leaning in for another kiss.
Story 8
"Why did you leave me?" They screamed, tears falling from their eyes. "You promised me that you would never leave me! But you're gone!" They sobbed into the still chest of their lover. "You promised!" They threw their head back as they cried out in anguish and heartbreak. "You promised," they collapsed back onto the empty chest of their best friend and succumbed to the torrent of tears.
Story 9
"What did I ever do to you, huh? What have I ever done to deserve this?" She spat out each word as though it burned her. "You know what? It doesn't matter. Because I am done with letting you walk all over me like a doormat. So leave me alone or so help me, I will fight back next time."
Her crystal blue eyes shone, sharp and filled with fury and an unyielding will of her own. He was impressed, but undeterred. "Oh yeah?" He sneared. "And just what are you going to do?" She glared at him and pulled back her foot. Before he knew what was happening, she had kicked him in the shin so hard that he yelped and fell to the floor.
"That." Steel filled her tone. Then she turned and walked away, head held high and confidence evident with her every step.
Story 10
Th light burned her eyes when she tried to open them. She quickly slammed them shut. "Drake?" She heard her friend as her name quietly. She tried to slowly open her eyes again, blinking and letting her eyes adjust to the bight light. She rolled her head over to look at him, seeing his usually bright eyes dark with worry.
'"Draco." She whispered. A relieved rumble came from him at the sound of her voice. "What-" she cut herself off and sloppily scrambled to her feet as the memories returned to her. She spread her wings and her emerald scales flashed in the bright sun. "Where did they take her?" She swung her head from side to side, frantically trying to discern which way the hunters had taken her daughter.
"Drake," Draco said her name gently. She swung her head to the left to stare at him with desperate eyes. "The others are already following them. You're hurt, you need to rest. Let them handle it for now."
"But my little dragnet is in danger!" She wailed ad lashed her long whip-like tail.
"Trust me, Drake. No one will ever let anything happen to Kitten. She's like a daughter to all of us. She will be fine."
Story 11
"Why won't you leave me alone?" She pleaded quietly, shrinking into herself and cowering before me.
"Because, what fun would that be?" I grinned and laughed and she shuddered at my words. Then she looked up and it was like something within her had snapped.
Her eyes blazed and there was a new ferocity in the way she looked at me, an unstoppable determination in the way she held herself.
An unquenchable thirst for vengeance seemed to have filled her to the brim. "I will take you down one day," she said, her voice dark and dangerous. "I swear it." As soon as the words left her mouth, I shivered, getting the feeling of a thousand spiders crawling down my spine. A cold rush like someone walking over my grave.
I grimaced. "Then I guess I'll just have to make sure that never happens." I growled, my chaotic smile back in place.
Her eyes widened as I pulled my gun from its holster at my waist. "Say goodbye." I whispered. She tried to scream, but the sound was quickly cut off when the silenced gun in my hand went off and I hot her pointblank in the head.
Story 12
The water was all I could see. I couldn't find the sky. Then I saw fire. Fire so bright in turned the water red. Suddenly, I could find the sky. I swam toward the light of the fire and my head broke the surface. I gulped lungfuls of air and scanned the forest around me for the source of the flames that licked at the edge of the river. I spotted it, a small candle that had fallen by the roots of a tree. Really? I thought. A forest fire from a candle?
I looked up toward the top of the waterfall, trying to spot the person who had pushed me over. There was no one there.
Had I fallen and simply imagined the feel of hands shoving me over the edge? Or had they already disappeared into the trees? Did whomever pushed me drop the candle too?
Is there someone trying to kill me?
Alrighty then!
That was quite cheerful wasn't it?
I'm sorry for not updating recently...
