Shirtless
Alright. I bet that 90% if not all of you will have misiterpreted the title. Comment what you think this is going to be about here. This is going to be funny.
Percy yawned and rolled over, blinking sleepily and smiling softly at the curly blond hair that he now faced. He proped himself up on his elbow and leaned forward and down.
"Good morning, beautiful." He whispered into Annabeth's ear, lightly kissing just below it. The daughter of Athena giggled quietly and rolled over, blinking open her deep grey eyes. She groaned softly and mumbled something incoherently. "What was that, gorgeous?" Percy whispered to her once more, smiling larger as she blushed a light pink and looked up at him.
"Good morning, handsome." She said quietly, lifting a hand and beginning to run it through his messy raven locks. "How are you so far this fine morning?" Percy gave a soft laugh and brought his other hand up to place on Annabeth's cheek, gently rubbing circles under her ear, his big callused hand easily cupping her face.
"I am doing just perfect because you are here." He said. "How are you?" She smiled and leaned up a little to kiss him softly on the nose.
"Just perfect because I'm with you." Her voice quiet yet a little husky still with sleep, as was his own deep voice. Though, if you asked Annabeth, it was always husky and deep. But she loved it. (Secretly, she some times thought he would make a very good singer for soul music or jazz with a little work.)
They lied in bed and just stared at each other, getting lost in each other's eyes, content in each other's company, and happy to just be alive and with each other. Neither one is sure how long they stayed like that, but they heard the conch horn sound, calling for breakfast.
Percy groaned and put his face back into a pillow. Annabeth laughed and sat up. "I don't want to go to breakfast yet. I want to stay with you." The son of Poseidon protested.
"Well, I think we need to get food and get up to do our schedules and duties." Annabeth said, poking his old Achilles heel on his bare back. Percy shivered and brought his face back out of the pillow. He looked at his girlfriend with his big, sad baby-seal eyes.
Somehow, though it was really hard, Annabeth managed to not fall into a puddle on the floor and give her boyfriend every single thing he ever asked for. By some miracle, she stayed strong and didn't give in. "Come on, Seaweed Brain. Get up and get dressed. We must have food." She scolded him, poking his old Achilles heel again.
Percy shivered violently and gave up, rolling over so that Annabeth had to quickly jump off the bed with a shriek so she wasn't squished underneath his large body. "Hey!" She exclaimed, laughing. Percy stuck out his tongue and groaned, picking himself up off the bed and getting up to go grab a shirt and a pair of jeans.
Annabeth smiled and shook her head, heading over to grab her own clothes from a second dresser. (Because of nightmares and stuff, she had moved in to Cabin Three and so now all her stuff was there.) She grabbed a pair of shorts, the needed undergarments, and then grabbed a shirt from the closet as she walked by, making her way to the bathroom.
After changing, she walked out to see Percy running around the room, appearing to be frantically looking for something. "Percy," She questioned, "What are you doing?" He stopped his pursuit of overturning the room to look at her.
"I can't find any of my clothes!" He exclaimed, returning to his task.
"What do you mean you can't find any of your clothes?" Annabeth asked warily.
"I mean, that I can't find any of my clothes! They're not in any of the drawers," he pointed to his dresser. "Or under the bed," he pointed to the bed. "Or in the closet," he directed his finger other there. "Or anywhere on the floor! I can't find them!" He sat up on his heels from his position of looking underneath the dresser that housed Annabeth's garments and ran a hand through his hair. "Did you see any in the bathroom while you were getting dressed?"
Annabeth shook her head. "No, I'm sorry," she quickly thought of something to say before he could start freaking out. "I bet that they're getting washed or something."
"Annabeth, I just did my laundry yesterday. You know that." Annabeth did know that. She had done her laundry with his.
"Well, um... Maybe the Hermes Cabin took them as a prank?" She suggested. Percy thought for a moment before jumping to his feet. "Percy?" The black-haired demigod started to head toward the door. "Percy! What are you doing?" Annabeth headed after him.
He opened the door and stood just inside the doorway in only his pajama pants. Then he took off across the green toward the Hermes Cabin. Annabeth shrieked and took off after him.
At this point, breakfast was over and everyone was back at their cabins getting ready to start their day or already at their first classes or the meeting places for their day's first activity.
People stared, girls started to drool, guys got jealous looks on their faces. Annabeth ran after her boyfriend, completely embarased but nearly frothing at the mouth as well. He was getting too many stares for her liking, too many girls were eyeing him as he dashed past.
"Percy! Hold on! Percy! Come back! Percy!" She called after him but he didn't slow down and he most definitely didn't stop.
When he passed the Aphrodite cabin, all the girls started to squeal and fawn over him. Well, all the girls except Piper.
Piper saw Percy running past and turned to catch Annabeth's eye as she followed. "What's going on?" She asked her friend.
"Percy can't find his clothes, I told him that the Hermes Cabin might have taken them and then he took off!" Annabeth called over her shoulder, not stopping her pursuit of the son of Poseidon. Piper shook her head, amazed at what trouble those two could get themselves into so early in the day.
Percy ignored all the stares he got, he ignored the squeals from the Aphrodite cabin, he ignored the jealous glares from some of the boys. He also ignored the confused looks from the newest campers and the awestruck ones from the new campers who hadn't had a chance to meet him but had heard stories of what he had done, (even though he always insisted that it was never really him, everyone claimed it was. They all said that he was 'too modest' and 'selfless to a fault', well, he will admit that one as true).
But right now, Percy had only one goal in mind: Get the Stolls.
Or whoever it was that took his clothes. But he was willing to bet that it was the Stolls who had stolen his clothes. It wouldn't be the first time they had pranked him like this. Well, it was the first time that his clothes had gone missing...
Dam it, he was getting sidetracked. Stupid ADHD.
He skidded to a halt outside the Hermes Cabin door, took a deep breath, and yelled, "STOLLS! I WANT MY CLOTHES BACK, THANK YOU VERY MUCH!" The door flew open and there stood the brothers Conner and Travis Stoll, twin grins of laughter on their faces.
"It wasn't us this time, Perce! But man, would I have payed to see you running through camp! Oh, hey, Annabeth!" Travis said. Percy turned his head and saw his girlfriend skid to a stop behind him.
"Percy! What the Hades! You can't just go running around camp with no shirt on! Oh my gods!" She said, flustered and sounding a little angry.
Percy grew sheepish and blushed, looking down at his bare feet. "Sorry, Wise Girl." He said. Then glanced up at her through his long lashes and gave her a lopsided smile. "But don't worry, there's no reason to be jealous. I have eyes for you and you alone." Now it was Annabeth's turn to blush and look away.
Percy walked over to her and wrapped her in his arms, planting a kiss on the top of her head.
Annabeth, though, didn't want it to stop there. So she lifted her head and pecked him on the lips. "Its alright, Seaweed Brain. Just don't do it again!" She laughed playfully and he smiled down at her. Then the daughter of Athena turned to the Stolls. She broke out of Percy's hug and walk right up to them. She crossed her arms and started tapping her foot. "So, where are my boyfriend's clothes? I would like to be the only one that gets to see him shirtless thank you very much." The brothers stuttered and then shrugged.
"Like we told Percy, we weren't the ones that took his clothes this time." Conner said, inching just slightly behind Travis as Annabeth's calculating grey eyes swept over them. Annabeth held back a laugh as he cowered just slightly underneath her gaze. But she was also filled with regret. She wasn't even glaring.
After Tartarus, her glare had become scarier. It was so bad, that even when she wasn't trying to glare, she scared people most if the time. But Percy had it worse.
While his strongest glare could make even bravest of grown men want to go running for their mothers before, now, he could just get slightly annoyed and the look in his eyes would make even Chiron skitter back a few steps.
Annabeth would never admit this out loud, but sometimes, she was scared that he would snap, like he did in Tartarus, when he controlled that poison and nearly choked Akhlys with her own tears. And on occasion, she would get... afraid of him herself. And at those times, it would take all of her will power not to step back and get away from him.
Wait a second, Annabeth, she told herself. You're getting off track. Stupid ADHD. You're usually better at controlling it. She mentally huffed and returned her attention to the two mischievous boys before her. "Alright then. If you two didn't take them, then who did?"
Conner and Travis looked at each other, then back at Percy and Annabeth and shrugged. Annabeth sighed and uncrossed her arms, letting them fall to her side. She decided that they might as well head back to Cabin Three and get some dramchmas. Then she would go to the camp store and buy Percy a pair of jeans and a few shirts that would hopefully last him until they found all his actually clothes. But Percy, it seemed, had other ideas.
Percy turned around and started walking back toward his cabin. At least, that's where Annabeth thought he was going. But instead, he began to slow as they neared the Aphrodite Cabin.
He marched right up to the door and banged his fist against it. Annabeth stood back, her mouth wide open in shock.
"Alright! The Stolls didn't take my clothes so which of you did?! Open this door right now and give me my clothes!" Percy shouted, still pounding on the door. It opened and Percy's fist stopped midair before he would have hit Piper in the face. "Hey, Pipes. Do you know which of your siblings took my clothes?" He asked her calmly. Piper shook her head.
"No, sorry. But feel free to come ask them yourself. But I'm warning you, if you enter this cabin, you'll never be the same. You might get scarred for life." Percy nodded solemnly and stepped into the open doorway.
Annabeth cried out in alarm and rushed inside as well. Entered the cabin just in time to see Percy disappear underneath a pile of Aphrodite girls. She heard him cry out and she ran forward, desperate to get her boyfriend free from the clutches of these girls. Piper was at her heels and trying to charmspeak the girls off him over all the noise.
It wasn't really working.
Piper stopped and just began grabbing feet and dragging girls off the pile. Annabeth joined her.
"Get off me!" Percy's deep voice raged from underneath the heap. The girls immediatly jumped off him with scared expressions. It took all of Annabeth's strength not to step back herself. Even Piper backed away a little bit.
Percy pulled himself up off the floor and brushed himself off. Then he looked up and his eyes swept across the people within the Cabin. All the girls shrieked and shrank away. The boys were too scared to move. Especially the younger ones.
"I've had enough." Percy said, his voice low and dangerously calm. "I want to know who took my clothes. And I would prefer to have them back if you don't mind." His swirling sea-green eyes had darkened a shade to more of a raging ocean-blue. The annoyance was clear within them to Annabeth. But to everyone else inside the Cabin besides Piper, it most likely took in a resemblance to anger instead.
Piper took a few involuntary steps back then caught herself, stopping where she was but unable to bring herself forward again. Annabeth glanced back at her for a fraction of a second before her eyes returned to her boyfriend and the cowering Aphrodite children in front of him.
Piper couldn't look away either. Right now, Percy was terrifyingly fascinating. You know when you're so scared that you couldn't possibly look away for fear of missing something? That was how Piper felt in that moment. And she didn't think she could be made to feel any more fear, but the moment she heard a voice in her head, she went from scared to deathly afraid.
Tell everyone to close their eyes, would you, sweety? I don't want anyone to burn up when I arrive.
Piper's mouth flew open, she shouted the words, enforcing them with charmspeak so strong, that only Percy and Annabeth could have even had a slim chance of resisted it. "Close your eyes!" Her own eyelids slid closed and she covered her face with her hands as an extra precaution.
"Its alright now, dears. You can open your eyes!" Said a honey-sweet voice. Piper slid her eyes open and slowly took her hands away from her face.
"Hello, mom." Piper sighed. Glancing at the goddess. Then she heard a snarl and turned to see Percy direct his focus toward Aphrodite.
Annabeth immediately saw the moment Percy went from annoyed to extremely pissed off. She though, oh, shit.
Percy growled and his eyes narrowed, zeroing in on the goddess. He stalked forward and stopped in front of her where she sat on the edge of one of her children's beds.
Annabeth stared as her boyfriend looked over the sitting goddess, anger flaring his nostrils and sharpening his gaze. He let out a low, threatening growl and Aphrodite flinched slightly, averting her ever changing eyes from his hard, raging ones.
Percy leaned in close and the ever-changing goddess was forced to look at him and place a hand on his chest to keep him from getting to close to her for her liking. Because she was afraid.
"I should have known it was you." Percy's voice came out so low and quiet, even he could hardly hear it. "I would like my clothes back of you would be so inclined." He demanded. Aphrodite began nodding vigorously and Percy glanced back at Annabeth, his anger melting as he looked at her gorgeous face.
Her golden curls fell around her shoulders in a tangled, blown around mess, her stormy-grey eyes were still filled fear, of him he realized. Her full lips, chapped and raw from being bitten too many times by her teeth, were turned down at the edges in the slightest frown and her thin eyebrows arched down and scrunched together just barely.
Yet he couldn't imagine anyone looking more beautiful, not even the goddess of love that he was standing over.
The only time he could think of that Annabeth had looked more beautiful then she did now, was when they caught together on the battlefieldagain at monster after monster.
She would be covered in golden dust, her clothes would be ripped, a few small cuts here and there showing through the ripped fabric. Her storm cloud eyes would be filled with grim determination and a fierce light that would make their enemies almost cower away, knowing that their loss would be ineventible.
Her mouth would be knit into a gruesome snarl and her drakon bone sword would flash through the air, cutting the monsters around them to dust and her hair flew around her face and hung in a knotted mess, haloing her face when she looked over at him after stabbing a monster in the back and as it disintegrated, she would smile just slightly at him and then whirl to face another beast.
His daydream was interrupted by shrieking. He turned and gasped.
Aphrodite started down at her arms. They had a California tan. She felt her hair, it felt matted and curly. She looked at her fingers. There was no nail polish on her nails. Instead there was dirt crusted beneath her short nails, nails that appeared to be bitten down to a stub quite often. She glanced once more at her arms, this time noticing the small smudges of dirt on then here and there.
She jumped up and shoved Percy out of the way, running to a mirror. A face looked back at her, only one face. A face with full, raw lips from being chewed on so often. The lips were parted to reveal the mouth. A mouth with slightly crooked, yet pearly white teeth.
The face had eyes. Eyes that stayed one color. The color stuck as a grey the color of a cumulonimbus about to pour water on everyone and everything below.
And the face was framed with tangled, un-brushed, un-washed wild hair that hung around her shoulders in golden curls.
There was a healing scab on her cheek and scars on her arms and probably other place too that she could have seen if she wasn't wearing a fancy dress.
She cried out in alarm and stumbled back from the mirror. She turned and ran up to Percy. "Stop it! Stop it!" She cried, pounding on his chest with balled fists. "Stop it right now! Stop it!"
She continued to attack his chest, but with each time her fist connected with his bare torso, her new looks seemed to solidify even more, becoming more and more permanent. "You can have your clothes back, just stop it!" Aphrodite wailed and then backed away, warning them to law their eyes.
Everyone closed their eyes and when they opened them again, she was gone.
Perch tuned and looked at Annabeth. She had tears in her eyes and a hand over her mouth. Percy was afraid. He was afraid that she would be offended. He was afraid that she would be upset. He was afraid that she would be mad at him.
But instead, she walked over to him and place a hand on his chest, where a bruise was forming from all the times Aphrodite had hit him. She looked up at him and asked him a question.
"You-You really think I'm...?" She couldn't even finish the sentence because she got all choked up and couldn't force the words out. Percy nodded and smiled warmly, the corners of his mouth turning up just the slightest
"Of course I do. I couldn't possibly think of anyone more beautiful than you. You are my definition of beautiful. Even when you're covered in dirt and grime and you haven't showered or brushed or your hair in days. Even when we'rein the middle of a fight and you're covered in monster dust and sweat, when you have cuts and bruises. I don't care what you look like, you're always the most beautiful person I'll ever see." A tear slid down Annabeth's face as she reached up to cup his face with her hand.
"Oh, Percy... I--I don't know what to say..." Percy smiled larger.
"You don't have to say anything. Just know that I love you, Wise Girl." He leaned down and kissed her softly on the lips. Annabeth kissed him softly back.
"I love you too, Seaweed Brain." She said quietly once they pulled away, keeping their foreheads together.
Sadly, the moment was ruined by Piper and most of the Cabin squealing and going 'awwwwwwwwwww! Percabeth!'
Annabeth rolled her eyes and took Percy's hand. "Come on, Aphrodite said that your clothes were back. Let's go see if they're in the Cabin and get you dressed." She smiled up at Percy and he smiled back, following her out of the Aphrodie Cabin and back to Cabin Three.

**Edited**
Okay.
I suck.
I know that this is really stereotypical,
But I really don't want to go back and edit it.
I want to work on the next chapters of this and my other three books, and I want to get not planninhmg/mapping done for an original story that I want to start.
So maybe, after a while, I'll come back and edit this.
But for now, please don't hate me.
It was just supposed to be funny...
