Alright.

So I watched Episode VIII of Star Wars: The Last Jedi the other day. And it was amazing.

I really ship Ben Solo and Rey now.

I will do my best to leave out anything that might contain spoilers, and this will just be shippy stuff of the two of them because I need this now.

And here I go!

"Ben! Help me!" Ben Solo, Kylo Ren, spun around and saw Rey surrounded by the red-clad troopers. She was slowly being overwhelmed, they were surrounding her and it was getting harder for her to block their attacks as they penned her in. Even as he watched, one of them landed a blow on her arm.

She cried out and tried to lash back, but her saber missed. Blood welled on her arm as she continued to try and defend herself.

"Hold on, Rey!" Ben cried, stabbing his own opponent and tossing them aside. "I'm coming!"

Kylo ran toward her as one of the troopers landed another blow, once again to her arm. She cried out again and tried to back away. Ben roared and launched himself across the room, using the Force to push himself farther.

Rey managed to stab one of her assailants as Kylo was rushing to her aid. But in doing so, she left her left side exposed and one of the others used the opening to stab their knife/whip into her side and then swiftly pull it back out.

Rey screamed and Ben screamed with her. She dropped her saber and clasped her hands over her side and fell to her knees. "Rey!" Kylo howled and finally reached the other side of the room.

"Ben..." Rey looked up at him as he called her name and landed just outside the ring of troopers surrounding her. She watched as he attacked them with in vicious fury, rage clear in his dark eyes.

In a moment, the rest of the troopers were dead and Rey was left looking up into Kylo Ren's eyes as his expression softened from anger to worry. Rey gave a small smile. "Ben, I-I didn't know you c-cared so much." She gasped out, her eyes beginning to flutter closed.

"Rey! Rey, you have to stay awake. Please, keep those eyes open. Please, Rey!" Ben fell to his knees next her and begged her not to fall asleep. She nodded and tried to keep her eyes open. Kylo gently scooped her up in his arms and cradled her to his chest, not caring that blood from her wound was now soaking his robes.

Her head rested against his shoulder and he could hear how labored her breathing was. "Come on, Rey. Stay awake. I'll get you back to your friends in the Alliance. Stay awake for me, okay? I'll get you help." Ben looked down at her as he ran out of the room, heading toward the escape pods. Her eyes we sliding closed. "Rey! Rey, you have to stay awake! Rey, no!" Rey's eyes shut and she passed out. "Shit!" Ben yelled and ran faster.

He twisted around corners and shot down empty halls, finally reaching the escape pods. He quickly jumped into one and shot off toward the Alliance ship. By some myricle, nothing shot the pod down as it flew toward what Kylo used to think of as the enemy.

Then he noticed the escape pods that were leaving the ship and redirected the pod to follow them.

When they finally reached the planet, Kylo did his best to control their landing, but they still ended up crashing. He struggled to his feet and ran over to Rey. "Come on, we're almost there." He scooped her up and used the Force to blow the door off the pod. He staggered out and looked toward the base where all the Alliance pods were flying in.

He ran when he saw the First Order ships fly in and begin shooting at the Alliance pods. He saw door begin to close. "No!" He cried. He ran faster and faster, trying desperately to reach the base before the door closed. "Wait! Wait, please!" He yelled, tripping over himself and slipping and skidding on the snow and ice. He held tight to Rey as she shivered in his arms. "Wait!" He screamed as loud as he could and people inside the base turned and saw him running toward them.

Most of them pulled out blasters and got ready to shoot until one of them noticed Rey clutched tightly in his arms. "Wait!" The man cried. "Hold your fire! He has Rey!" Every one lowered their guns but continued to watch him warily. He pushed himself farther and slid under the door just as it slammed shut, keeping Rey tucked safely in his arms.

"Give her to us, Kylo Ren. We won't let you hurt her anymore." The man from before looked down at Ben and glared, obviously thinking it was him who had harmed Rey. Another man ran over to them, having just climbed out of another ship that crashed in before the door shut.

"Let her go, you monster!" He yelled, skidding to a stop next to the first man.

"Please," Ben said, his eyes filling with tears. "Do whatever you will with me, but get her help. She was wounded by one of the troopers we were fighting after I **CENSORED BECAUSE SPOILER**." Kylo forced himself into a sitting position and loosened his hold on Rey, letting them see the wound and the blood on her side and covering his robes.

He didn't want to leave her, he didn't want to hand her over to them, but he knew he had to. "Please, just... just help her." He said, a single tear making its way down his face. The first man seemed to soften up a bit and grabbed Rey from his arms, whispering something in his ear as he did so.

"I'm Poe. Thank you for getting her out." And then he was gone, Rey held tight in his arms as he ran to the medical section that had been set up.

Ben smiled as he watched Poe run with Rey, for he knew that she would be safe in his hands, and that she was going to get help.

But the sadness was tainted with sadness and a little bit of jealousy. He wished that it was him carrying her to safety.

Well, he had gotten her this far, and hopefully, once she wakes up, she can help him with the Alliance members. She can help him to convince them that he is no longer their enemy.

Because truly, he is not.

Because he loves her and he would do anything to keep her safe.
