She ran down the stairs, giggling, a hand over her mouth with the other on the railing. "Hey!" A voice called jokingly behind her, "Get back here!" She giggled again and jumped from the bottom stair, running to the living room and pouncing onto the couch to throw a blanket over herself. "Hey!" The voice called again.

She ducked under the blanket as she heard the owner of the voice reach the bottom of the stairs and buried another giggle in her hand. He'll never find me! She thought.

"Where could she have gone?" He said, walking slowly into the living room, eyeing the small lump of the blanket on the couch and smiling. He walked past it a few times, pretending to look in other places and to not notice when she peeked an eye out from underneath the cover of the blanket. "Where did you go? I hope I didn't loose you!" He heard a small giggle from the couch. He turned his head that way and walked closer, smirking. "Did I just hear something?" A small gasp this time, followed by the quiet sound of hands being slapped over a mouth. "Is there someone underneath the blanket?" He said, grabbing a corner of it and swiftly pulling up. A small shriek could be heard, followed by a loud giggle and then uncontrollable laughter as he tickled the girl that had been hiding under the blanket. She shrieked again.

"Stop! Stop it!" She giggled, squirming on the couch. "Daddy!" The man stopping tickling his daughter and laughed with her, sitting down on the floor to let her crawl into his lap and nuzzle her head into his shoulder.

"I found you!" He laughed, wrapping his arms around her. She giggled again and pulled her head from his shoulder, smiling up at him with two missing teeth. His smile only grew as he looked down at her.

"But it took you forever! I stumped you!" She laughed triumphantly as her eyes squeezed shut and she threw her head back.

That moment was pure bliss.
