"How long are you all going to lie?" Kongpop asked while arranging the food they prepared for the dinner.

May went startled, her eyes fixed on kongpop who didn't make eye contact with her.

"What are you talking about?" When did I lie to you?"

"Stop saying my mom and aunt is alive, i know they are not!"

"Kongpop!!! Don't sa-.."

"I lost hope May," Kongpop cut her off with serious face.

"Kong, please don't do this to yourself," May told after making Kong to face her.

"I am not going to fall for that lie anymore... Maybe i am cursed... everyone is leaving me... even him.... he is gone, I trusted him" Kongpop whispered hiding his failure.

"That's why I am not allowing you to leave the forest! Your innocence and kindness are the best meals for the creature out there!" Aim chirps stepping towards them.

"He didn't hurt me... and it was my fault... I expected a lot from him," Kong mumbled with a regretful face.

"You played with death!" Aim snorted with a slap on his arms.

"I am not hungry anymore! You both carry on"

"Kongpop ..... Kong... Kong"

The said person didn't faze for their call he marched upstairs before slamming himself on the bed praying for Arthit to come back and take him.

"Kong...."

"Hmm...."

"Do you remember what your aunt suggested to us before leaving the home?"

Kong snapped his head to the side with round eyes which filled with water.

"N.. No.. we can't... I wo-.."

"Please Kong listen to me first," Aim pleaded with his sad face.

"I can't see you as my m-master Aim... I won't come with you..

Kong closed his eyes thinking of a future he will have once he accept Aim's request. Aim is a good man, his wolf too but taking someone as his master and living under their command is what kong loathes.

'I won't treat you like them Kong, you are free to do whatever you want to do.'

Kong nods his head because his friend's words are true, but will the norms allow his friend to be good. Won't it bring trouble to Aim if he treats his human special?

What will his and May family say about it? Will they accept him like his friends?

His train of doubtful thoughts got interrupted by Aim's voice.

'Don't overthink Kongpop, I know it's not an easy path, but I am ready to face our social norms'

The human sobbed at his miserable situation and how he stands without choices.

"Let's stick together.. I will find you a life soon," Aim reassured his friend before giving a hug.

Apart from nodding his head Kong has no things to do. Maybe crying which he will do a lot maybe his whole life too.

Kongpop hugged him tight with grateful words. The words may assure him but the heaviness in his heart is still choking him.

Kong's face went puffy after crying and took an improper sleep. Aim informed May about their decision which she agreed right away. May got so happy and helped on packing his things.

Kongpop eyes went glassy once again. He wanted to be independent, roam around everywhere, meet people, and have lots of friends.

However, his wishes were going to be his dream, for his safety he decided to make himself live in a cage with a fake smile.

He wipes his dropping tears when Aim pat his shoulders before assuring him with words.

With a heavy heart he walks to the door along with May and Aim. Suddenly Aim went alert and stepped in front hiding May and Kongpop behind him.

Kongpop puffy eyes widen in shock seeing Arthit standing near the door.

His prayer didn't go to waste, his heart bloomed seeing Arthit at his door with an open heart. It might be late but he came. He went over the moon when Arthit gestured for him to walk towards him.

Arthit gazed him from head to toe and stopped at the bag which is dangling from the latter's hand.

He furrows for a second before keeping his face calm and uttered in his cold face, "Let's go!"

Aim doesn't need any introduction, he can guess who is the man and how much he is going to affect Kongpop's decision of moving in with him.

Like he predicted Kongpop trembled and took a step forward. Fortunately, May stopped him and threw a nasty glance at the beast.

"What do you want?"

Arthit turned his attention to Aim before answering, "I am taking him!"

"Over my soul!" May declared protecting the human who stood perplexed.

"May, let's hear him," Aim uttered and pulled her by his side which surprised Kong who tossed a grateful look towards him.

"Why should we Aim? What changes will it bring? We should not allow him to vanish like his aunt and mother!" May declared with her pleading look.

Aim calmed her with his scents before turned to Arthit for answers.

But Arthit stood stoic without words cause he came because the kongpop requested him no pleaded at him so he took pity at him.

Aim took a step forward towards Arthit before speak his mind out.

"He is a huma-..."

"I know," Arthit cut the werewolf who took a moment of gap and continued.

"He is a human but not completely, he is weird and has unsafe kindness and attitude! All Kong learned in his so far pity life is survival, he is best at it even at a worst place, so you don't need to give him more space,"

Kongpop eyes shifted to Aim with welled up eyes.

Aim continued, "he has no zero knowledge about wars and has no fighter skills so don't bring him to war or fights, he knows how to do a job and has few tricks in his sleeves too so use him as much as you want but.."

Kongpop pulled his friend's sleeves and tried to make him face his side. But Aim stood his strong and unfazed.

"If you have any bad motive.. or wanted his soul don't torture him just kill him at one shot after your use...." Aim took another step and said in his wolf voice.

"If I learned that you torture him, I will hunt you down and travel with you to hell!"

Kongpop shed tears, he pulled his friend and embraced him tightly.

"What a-are you b-blabbering..."

"You made me do this.. I am going crazy Kong.. I am scared and not liking your decision but I won't stop you not anymore.. you have chosen your path all I wish is when I meet you one day in heaven I want you to have no regrets!"

Aim words bought more tears to Kong who replied in his broken voice.

"I will v-visit y-you.."

"Silly... Stop giving my hope!" Aim pinched Kong's arms and earned a small punch from the latter.

He then hugged May and bid his farewell, glancing at the place which is his home for the past 10 years.

His eyes caught Arthit's one which is unreadable. He gulped going little doubt over his decision but he is done being a caged scary cat inside a box. He will take his chance with Arthit who may or may not bring radiance in his life.

Kongpop silently followed Arthit not knowing his true intention. Even though Arthit sounded genuine when he said to Aim that he is taking him to his land as per his wish and has no ill intention.

His brain couldn't able to believe the fact that the latter changed his heart in 2 days and took pity of him. Something is fishy, his thoughts ended abruptly when he bumped his head on a hard surface.

"Ouch..." he hissed in pain.

Arthit turned and noticed the human flinching in pain while moving the twink aside.

"Keep your eyes straight!" Arthit advises before checking the latter, it caused Kongpop to be more doubtful towards the beast.

"Are you going to kill me?"

Arthit face went blank, he hide the concern for the human quickly and spoke in his hard voice.

"I should have done that instead of pity you!"

Kongpop gulped and shook his head vigorously. Arthit found it amusing he chuckled inside and walks forward.

Kongpop followed him this time keeping his eyes on the surroundings instead of pondering why Arthit taking him to the latter's house.

Arthit stopped in his track before asking Kongpop to close his eyes when the latter blinked at him in confusion he himself closed his eyes by tying a robe.

"What are you d-doing?"

"Although I agreed to take you to my home, my beast is not ready to trust you with the path so you have to walk like this, don't worry I will lead you!"

Kongpop wanted to assure the latter but before he do so his palm got pressed by Arthit's fingers which made him wiggle in goosebumps.

"Hope you don't mind," Arthit told softly before intertwined their hands and start walking.

Kongpop nods his head and turned to other side hiding his happiness. He feels so pleased with the closeness.

Ever since he learned that dragons are still living he has a dream of seeing at least one but never had a thought of being close with it so it is overwhelming to him.

His lips curved time to time by his mind's bubble thoughts. He stopped when Arthit asked him to stop and wait for him.

"You won't l-leave me right?" Kongpop asked with a shameful feel.

Arthit wants to be rude but Kongpop's trembling body stopped him. He can feel the latter's dread and longing.

He took Kongpop palm again before massaging it gently. Kongpop mind stopped thinking, he goes relaxed with the sweet gesture.

"I promise I won't leave you alone! Save my promise in your heart Kongpop cause I won't say it again!" Arthit told in his heavy voice going close to the latter's face.

Kong nodded his head and stepped back quickly joining his hands behind his back cause the fire stirring inside his heart by the latter closeness is dangerous for him and Arthit.

He stood unmoved and waited for Arthit with full hope.
