It's been nine months since the battle in Shanghai and against Lockdown and 9 months since Optimus left to find the Cybertronians' creators.

It was 2 months after Prime left that Lucia discovered that she was pregnant with Optimus' child. It had been shocking to say the least. She and Optimus never got busy to even do it but it can't be helped since she's pregnant with a sparkling. Of course it was scary since she doesn't know anything about taking care of a baby, let alone a baby Cybertronian. Drift, Crosshairs and Hound did everything to make sure to get her what she needed while Bumblebee made sure to be there for his friend and only living family.

Cade was shocked to say the least that he swore that he'll give Prime a thing or two about knocking her up. Tessa was excited about the baby and Shane was left wondering how she and Optimus were able to conceive a child. Hound, being the resident medic since Ratchet has unfortunately been killed, advised Lucia to stay in her human form since the sparkling might be born half human.

It was crazy to say the least but the bots were able to survive 9 months of Lucia being heavily pregnant. Bumblebee became even more protective since the sparkling will be his new sibling and Lucia was just glad that Cade was able to guide her through the pregnancy but she misses Optimus and wants him to be there to be able witness the birth of their child.

It was the nine month time and they were waiting anxiously and patiently for the sparkling to be born.

"Man, Prime will miss out on getting to see Lucia giving birth to their kid." Cade said as he was fixing up a gun that he made with Hound's help.

"Ah, you can't blame him, Cade. Prime is out there looking for his creators while we're stuck here and Lucia is about to pop any day now." Crosshairs said as he helped Cade with building the weapons.

"Well, I hope he comes back soon. I'm pretty sure Lucia would want-" Cade was cut but a shrill scream as both Crosshairs and Cade froze in their project.

"You gotta be shitting me." Cade cursed before he dropped his tools and ran to the trailer as Crosshairs called the others to tell them what's happening.

"Lucia?! Lucia, what happened?!" Cade asked as he entered the trailer only to find Lucia standing and holding her stomach and below her feet was a puddle of water.

"C-Cade, the... the baby... I think it's-" Lucia breathed heavily and cried out in pain as contractions started.

"Okay, okay. Come on. Let's get you to bed. HOUND, GET YOUR ASS OVER HERE! WE NEED A MEDIC!" Cade yelled over his shoulder as Hound, using his holoform, came running in.

"I'm here, Cade." Hound said as he and Cade helped Lucia to the bed where she lay down on her back with pillows supporting her back and a blanket over her lower half.

"Primus! Slag it! It hurts!" Lucia cried out in pain as she squeezed the sheets.

Hound looked to see if she's fully dilated but she's only half way there and they need to try and get ready. He looked at Cade.

"Cade, I'm gonna need you to get some hot water, fresh towels and something to cut the umbilical cord." Hound said as Cade was confused.

"What? Why? Lucia needs support and I can't just leave her hanging." Cade said but a shrill cry of pain from Lucia made him look at her.

"Cade, I swear to the Allspark that if you don't do as he says, I'm gonna castrate you until they don't find a body!" Lucia screamed as the pain was becoming much worse.

"Cade, there's no time! Just get the items and come back as quickly as possible." Hound said as he made sure that Lucia was comfortable.

Cade was reluctant but complied and ran to gather the stuff needed after getting Bumblebee to help with getting the items.

Lucia was breathing heavily as she tried to breathe normally but the pain was too much.

"Lucia, I need you to breathe like when you and Cade practice. You're doing just great." Hound comforted her as she breathed deeply yet heavily but pain came back which made her let out a swore in Cybertronian.

"It hurts, Hound... It hurts..." Lucia whimpered as she started to cry.

"I know it hurts but you need to keep it together." Hound said as he checked and saw that she was fully dilated.

Just in time too as Cade came in with Bumblebee with the items.

"I got everything. How's she?" Cade ask but flinched when Lucia gave him a death glare.

"You're not the one giving birth here, Cade Jackson Yeager!" Lucia screamed while Bumblebee cringed.

"Lucia, look at me." Hound said as Lucia looked at him.

"On the next contractions, I'm gonna need you to push as hard as you can. Cade, Bee, I'm gonna need you guys to hold her hands." Hound said as Lucia panted heavily while Bee and Cade held her hands.

Hound positioned himself on the edge of the bed.

"Okay, I'm gonna count to three. When I said three, push." Hound advised as Lucia nodded shakily and braced herself.

"One. Two. Three!" Hound shouted as Lucia pushed while screaming.

Cade and Bee cringed as their hands were crushed. Outside, the rest of the bots with the Dinobots were waiting patiently but cringed everytime Lucia let out a scream.

It was a grueling 2 hours and Lucia was getting tired.

"Get it out of me!" Lucia cried out as she pushed.

"I can see the helm! Push one more time! Push as hard as you can!" Hound shouted.

Lucia prayed to Primus, the AllSpark and the Thirteen to give her strength as she took a deep breath and pushed real hard while letting out a super loud scream.

Everything went silent when a shrill wail was heard and Bee and Cade, despite the pain from their hands, looked over as Hound was gently and carefully washing a small bundle before wrapping it up in a blanket.

"Congratulations. It's a little femmeling." Hound said softly as Lucia sat up with Cade and Bee's help as Hound gave the sparkling to her mother.

Once in her arms, Lucia held the sparkling gently and looked down at her baby in adoration and wonder.

The little one was still crying but softly as the wails reduced to soft whimpers. Tears welled up in Lucia's eyes at the sight as she smiled softly.

"Hello, Echo Starlight." Lucia cooed as the baby now named Echo Starlight stirred and opened her optics and looked up to the person holding her.

Vision was a little blurry but it soon cleared and smiling down at her was her carrier. Letting out a small coo and beep, she reached for her carrier's face while beeping and chirping curiously.

"Well, I'll be. The little one looks almost like Prime but as a human." Cade said quietly as the baby looked from her mother to Cade curiously and let out a curious chirp which made him smile.

"Hey, squirt. So you're the little menace that's keeping your mama up at night huh?" Cade playfully said as the baby beep curiously while tilting her head cutely.

Bee let out an amazed whirr which caught the litter baby's attention and beep curiously at him. Bumblebee beeped back happily and the baby giggled happily.

"So what are ya gonna name her?" Cade asked curiously as he watched Bumblebee let the baby grab his finger who was holding it happily.

Lucia looked at Cade then to the baby and smiled.

"Echo. Echo Starlight." Lucia said with a smile as baby Echo looked up to her mom and smiled happily.

Somewhere in deep space, a mech let out a silent gasp when he felt a new presence in his spark. He put his hand on his chest plates, over where his spark is and wondered what it was. He looked in the direction of Earth and hoped that everything was okay with everyone and his Sparkmate.

After introducing the sparkling to everyone, night has fallen and Lucia was resting soundly on the bed with baby Echo Starlight close to her.

Lucia watched the newborn sleep peacefully as she smiled softly but couldn't stop the tears from falling. If only the others were here to see Echo Starlight.

She silently prayed that nothing will bring harm to her and Echo Starlight as she just wants for them to be safe with their friends.

"Oh, Optimus... If only you're here with us." Lucia said softly as she held Echo Starlight in her arms and fell asleep.

But for now, it is best to enjoy the peace while it lasts.
