Can it be fix? Or no? ~ Blossick

Author POV:

Brick sat on the couch, a bottle in his hand, Boomer set his car keys down. "Brick, I'm taking it away." Boomer grabbed the bottle and moved it away from him. He sat on the couch, "You okay man?" Brick scoffed, "Just fucking peachy." "Why don't you just go back to her dude?" Boomer asked. "You know she wants you there." He said. Brick shook his head "I can't. I fucked up, I shouldn't have yelled at her for it."

Boomer pat his back. "Well hurry up before she moves on," Brick sighed "No she won't. She can't."

"Why not?" Boomer asked. "Because no one will ever get to know her like I do." Boomer ran a hand through his hair, not exactly knowing what to do for his brother. "What do you mean?"

"No one will ever understand that she mumbles when she's tired, when her baby hair gets on her face they'll just push it out of the way, they won't admire how soft it naturally is."

Boomer open up his mouth to say something, but got cut off right away.

"They won't understand her early morning hyperness and her beautiful bright pink eyes. They won't know the way she prefers bigger clothes and loves wearing her big pink sweater that would reach to her knees."

Boomer could see the sadness in his brother, he felt useless just sitting here when he should be up and helping him get over her or help him go talk to her.

"They won't know how she prefers strawberry pancakes over blueberry waffles or how her favorite color is rose pink but sometimes she would like hot pink." Brick said laughing a bit in the end with a tear falling down his left eye.

"They won't fucking know her. They won't know she's sensitive behind her left ear and not her right ear, they won't know about her few freckles on her back that make her feel shy when she wears  a bikini to the beach." Brick let his tears fall and reached for the bottle again, but Boomer stopped him and pulled him into a tight hug.

Brick let himself sob and cling onto Boomer, "I'm gonna drive you over there." Brick shook his head. "I'll go when I'm ready, probably just to get my clothes, I need to see her one last time."

"Will you be okay? seeing her?" Boomer asked concerned. Brick looked away from Boomer and looked down at his own hands, "Honestly Boomer..."

"I might just break down the second I see her." Brick said giving a weak smile.

-

It's been three weeks since Brick walked out of Blossom's life, leaving her on the cold floor in their apartment they decided to live in together.

She got on her knees just for him to come back and not leave her, but he still did and now, Blossom was sitting down on her couch with her knees pressed against her chest and her mind being spaced out while her two sisters, Bubbles and Bunny sitting right next to her to comfort her.

Blossom being detached from the conversation that both her sisters were having was lost in her emotionless state.

"Hey Bunny, have you seen Brick recently? He won't answer my text messages and Boomer had to carry him out of the bar the past few nights." Bunny looked over at Bubbles, with wide eyes that she would even mention that name with Blossom sitting on the couch with them.

"Bubbles..."

"What?"

Bunny turn to look at Blossom. "Oh shit, Blossom, calm down she didn't know." Bunny said, wiping away her older sister's tear that came down her left eye. "I'm sorry Blossom, I didn't know." Blossom didn't say anything and just got up from the couch and took off for the bathroom locking the door behind her.

Blossom's body shook as she was hit with emotions, as hard as she tried to pretend she was fine, everyone could see she was breaking, shattering without Brick in her life.

"Why did we even have to fucking fight? I should've just shut my mouth, he didn't do anything wrong. It was my own damn fault, jumping to conclusions." Blossom slammed her hand on the sink counter, she look up to see her reflection in the mirror. Her eyes started to glow hot pink from anger, but soon stopped and went back to it's natural rose pink color, tears streaming down her soft rosey cheeks.

"Fuck! just... fucking stop!" she cried at her own mind for reminding her of him, constantly. Brick always has and always will be the only thought in her head. She is reminded every fucking morning she wakes up to an empty bed in their apartment.

Brick tried so hard for her to not worry. She missed getting his morning kisses he would give her on her cheek and his corny yet funny jokes. Staying up late watching movies, Brick knowing he had work the next day, but still not giving a shit because he felt spending time with his girlfriend is more important.

Blossom once again looks up to see her reflection in the mirror, no longer recognizing herself, she finally understood what the word broken meant.  She unlocked the door and walked back to the living room to find her two sisters had left her alone in her own thoughts. Bunny had been looking after Blossom, it was normal for her, she just assumes she needs time to herself.. but

Blossom doesn't need time

She needs Brick.

Blossom sat on the couch and laid on the side, curled up into a ball, tears still leaked down on her puffy red cheeks. She heard the unmistakable sound of the front door clicking unlocked. '

'Maybe it was just Bunny? Maybe Bunny had just walked Bubbles down and came back up?'

Blossom sat up and looked over the back of the couch freezing.

Brick stood by the door, he sighed. "I just need my stuff Blossom..." He put his keys in his back pockets. "I figured you'd be at work or at the bookstore," Brick said before heading for the bedroom. Blossom got up following Brick like a lost puppy. She sat on the bed while he opened the closet to pull out a large red hoodie.

"No.. Brick you gave that one to me." He looked down at it then up at her. "Please don't take it." She pleaded, her eyes watery.

Brick let out a sigh and put it back in the closet, Blossom grabbed a blanket, fiddling with it to calm her anxiety down. Brick filled a whole backpack before grabbing another.

"Brick..."

"Blossom don't." Blossom got off the bed and walked over to him, Brick gulped and refused to meet her gaze.

She dropped straight to the floor just like that day he left her on the cold wooden floor. "Brick, please, I'm so sorry." She used both hands to hold on to one of his. "Please I c-can't" she stutter through her cries.

"Blossom... It's over, I'm not coming back please don't make this harder than it has to be."

Blossom's heart was slowly ripping apart while Brick's heart was shattering by seeing her on the ground crying. "I'm trying to fix it Brick, I know I let my mind get better of me most times but I'm trying. I can't fucking lose you, I can feel myself shattering and I know everyone else can see it. I'm tired of fucking sympathy Brick, I don't need it, what I need is you."

"Stand up." Brick said. Blossom sniffled and stood up letting go of his hand. They locked eyes, Brick seemed to be studying her eyes. She wiped under her eyes, Brick shook his head. "I can't come back, It's for your own good, you need to do this yourself Blossom."

"You're breaking too, you can try to hide it all you want. But I know you better than anyone else Brick, you're drinking yourself to the point of needing Boomer to help you home." Blossom gulped. "Admit it, you need me just as much as I need you."

"Blossom of course I fucking need you!" Brick yelled at her. "Than stop fighting it! I can't live without you Brick I won't make it, I'll completely shatter!" she said before letting her tears fall down again.

Brick dropped the bags and cupped her face before crashing their lips together. Blossom kissed back right away feeling desperate, he slide his hand to her small waist as she let her fingers tangled in his hair. He picked her up, and she wrapped her legs around his waist as he walked to the bed and laid her down.

After a long time of refusing to break apart, nine minutes passed, Brick and Blossom found themselves cuddled up on the bed, Blossom's head on his chest while she played with his fingers.

"Blossom you have to promise me you'll let me help you through this, you can't push me away again."

"I promise Brick.. just.. please don't leave me again." Blossom said with a shaky voice. Brick kissed the top of her head, "I promise pinky." Blossom nuzzled into him, dropping his hand on his chest. He moved it to rub her back. "I'm right here Blossom, everything is going to be okay my flower."

"I'm j-just scared you won't be here when I wake up." He squeezed her tighter. "Don't. I'm not leaving you, I'm scared to leave you."

"Why?"

"You might find somebody new."

Blossom pecked his cheek. "I'm not. I love you Brick."

"I love you too Blossom."
