One Shot 1: I Came For You (2)

💥ONE SHOT 1: I CAME FOR YOU.

🔹️Part 2: I Found You.

In this part are the dialogues from the movie "Spider-Man: No Way Home" that I said I would use, the part of Peter's conversation with Strange when everything was falling apart, but with one change, that Strange called Peter "son" instead of "kid" at the end of their conversation, before that and after that is entirely AU, I don't use anything else from the movie.

I wanted to clarify that the dialogues of the movie are not exactly the same, I tried to imitate them but since English is not my native language I couldn't do it completely 😅 but I still think they turned out well ☺️

By the way I wanted to let you know that I'm working on the next parts, I've already written quite a bit 😁 So far this One Shot will have 6 parts, we'll see if it doesn't get longer 😅 Personally I feel very inspired and I want to expand this One Shot/little story, I want to delve deeper into this idea, that's why I'm writing a lot, I hope you don't mind this slow pace, it's not long before we get to the action 😎

Well I wanted to clarify that, I hope you're enjoying it 💕 I'm having a lot of fun writing it 😊

Enjoy reading! 😘

💥I CAME FOR YOU.

🔹️Part 2: I Found You.

"What's happening?!" Peter shouted worriedly to Strange.

Tony had just emerged from one of those long, wide, bright and purple cracks in the sky that he had entered from his universe and that connected to Peter's universe when he saw him, when he saw the boy climbing up one of his cobwebs on the Statue of Liberty, and when he heard his sweet voice, the voice he had repeated in his head many times for three long years, the voice he longed to hear again.

Peter was dressed in a nanotechnology-made Spider-Man suit but he was not wearing his mask, which left his face and his brown, wavy hair exposed.

It had been easy for Tony to see him because let's say the teenager was putting himself in the center of everyone's vision, exposing himself too much, it was hard for him to go unnoticed.

"What's happening?!" Tony had heard Peter say.

Tony smiled a smile full of affection, Peter's voice was like music to his developed ears, Tony wanted him to talk again, he wanted it desperately, it had been a long time since he had heard him and now that he had, he didn't want to stop listening to him.

He wanted Peter to give him one of those long ramblings so characteristic of him about everything he liked to talk about, like for example about his adventures in Queens as Spider-Man that he used to tell him about, about the Star Wars movie marathons they watched together, about scientific topics that they loved to talk about just like that day 3 years ago when they met at Stark Industries, about Peter's schoolwork, about the new robot they would build together in the workshop, about the improvements they would make to their endo-symbiotic Superior Iron Man and Superior Spider-Man suits, about how they would rule the world, among other topics.

Yes, Tony missed all those talks and wanted them to happen again, he wanted to catch up with this Peter, with who was now his son.

Tony was as if intoxicated by these sudden and unexpected sensations, he never imagined that he would find Peter "like that", after all he had not traveled in the traditional way to this universe, the one he had discovered and the one he used to go from one universe to another.

Tony hadn't done it like that this time, but had done something much more risky, he had entered through some mysterious cracks that had appeared out of nowhere in the sky of his universe and that perhaps could have ended his life by crossing them but luckily they didn't.

Tony thought it was fate that wanted him to be reunited with his son.

In his native universe he had just climbed to the roof of his Tower, Tony had seen the sky completely clear and cloudless, meaning he knew the violet cracks hadn't been there, and just as his electric blue eyes had emitted an intense glow, which was the previous step to traveling to another universe, and Tony was about to do so, right at that very moment before he left the mysterious and now saving cracks had appeared, ready to take Tony to his son.

Superior Iron Man smiled a predatory smile, it was worth the risk of getting into those cracks, now he would get his prize, he would have Peter Parker under his claws.

But first he needed to confirm that this was "his" Peter Parker, the boy had the same voice but Tony was too far away to get a good look at his face, from a distance he could see the same hair as his son, some brown curls, but he couldn't get a good look at his facial features, he needed to make sure it was really him.

Tony scanned the surroundings with his electric blue eyes, finding the perfect hiding place to avoid being visible to Peter, he didn't want him to see him yet.

Tony was sure that there was a Tony Stark in this universe or that there had been one and that he had or had had a close relationship with Peter, why was he sure of that? Because that's how it had been in his universe.

There was a saying that you could throw a stone into a river, which would generate small waves, like small changes, but the water would always return to its natural course, the current would follow the same path, no matter how many changes there were in the middle.

So yes, Tony was sure that in this universe there was a close father-son relationship between Tony Stark and Peter Parker.

And why did Tony think that Tony could be dead? Well, because in his universe Peter was dead, so in this one it had to be the same but the other way around, Tony was the one who was dead instead of Peter.

Tony had already planned what he would do with that Tony Stark, if he lived in this universe he would kill him and then take Peter from him, so that Tony wouldn't look for him between universes to take him away.

Tony knew firsthand from being a Tony Stark how stubborn a Tony Stark could be, he could be darker, less dark, not dark at all but the stubbornness was always there when it came to Peter Parker, to this Peter Parker who looked like the Peter Parker of Tony's universe, to the Peter Parker that every Tony Stark saw as his son.

And if that Tony Stark of this universe was no longer alive... well, better, one less problem for Tony, it would be easier to get to Peter that way, there would be one less major obstacle in the way.

On the beautiful way to his son, Tony could not bear his anxiety, he wanted to have him under his protective wings right now but he should try to be patient and put together a strategic plan first.

As much as Tony was very powerful, he had to admit that he was a bit vulnerable at this moment, he knew absolutely nothing about this unknown universe and he needed to catch up.

But first things first, he had to confirm that this Peter was his Peter and if he could do it without him seeing him, without the boy noticing his presence, all the better because Tony didn't want things to get complicated, he insisted that he had to come up with an ingenious plan.

So with a decision made Tony flew discreetly, trying not to make any noise, with the blue repulsors of his silver endo-symbiotic Superior Iron Man suit towards the hiding place he had seen earlier.

It was a fairly destroyed, very devastated building, with slatted floors, stairs and steel beams that surrounded part of the perimeter of the Statue of Liberty, obviously that building had been there because the statue was under construction.

Even though the place was pretty run down it worked for Tony, he turned off his suit's repulsors, landed on the grated floor with a small metallic sound because he was trying to be subtle, and hid behind some beams, then sharpened his enhanced vision to zoom in on the face of the teenager who was several meters away.

Tony felt like he was dying for the second time, the first time was when he saw Peter dead on the floor of his laboratory three years ago, this time it was because he saw Peter again, the right Peter, the exact Peter he had wanted to get back, the indisputable double of his first Peter.

But this time Tony didn't feel his heart tearing with pain but rather it swelled with joy, he had found the boy, his son, he couldn't believe his luck.

Tony whispered to himself "I found you", his voice filled with satisfaction.

How had Tony arrived at this glorious moment of reunion with his son?

Well, in retrospect he had had a strong feeling of some sort of connection at the moment he passed from one universe to the other, followed by a not-so-disguised movement in the center of his field of vision, which was when Peter was climbing the Statue of Liberty with his cobweb.

All of this made Tony turn his electric blue eyes in that direction and finally see and find Peter, "his" Peter, whom he had been searching for for so long.

Or at least that's what it had seemed like to him, the boy had been very far away but it was in that small moment of doubt when he heard his voice with the following words "what's happening?!", which had dispelled Tony's doubts almost 100%.

This Peter had the same voice as his Peter, it was the same voice!

The only thing Tony had needed to end his extensive and unstoppable search for his son was to see his face, which he had done moments later when he hid in the middle of a pile of steel beams a few meters away.

The truth was that this had not been the universe Tony had intended to go to in search of Peter, he had been about to go to another one but he saw the cracks in the sky and something calling him, he heard a "Peter Parker" floating in the air, which led to the current situation.

Tony, still hidden in the deteriorated beam construction, squinted a little more to keep the range of his improved vision wide and sharpened his developed ears, the next thing he did was concentrate on the conversation Peter was having with that strange man.

Tony had never seen him in his universe, the man was some kind of wizard who was flying a short distance from the boy, his arms were outstretched and his face was filled with absolute concentration, it seemed like he wanted to contain the strange cracks in the sky with his powers.

Tony was glad he hadn't been able to do it before he'd gone through one, otherwise he wouldn't be here, with Peter.

The mere thought of being away from his son again now that he had him with him was choking Tony, he felt as if he were suddenly left without air, as if there wasn't enough air entering his lungs, it was the beginning of one of the panic attacks he used to have when he was weaker, when he was Iron Man.

As Superior Iron Man he had never had one again and he never would, this improved version of him wouldn't stoop to something as pathetic as that.

Tony was already rambling but it was only for a few milliseconds so he focused again on Peter and the wizard's conversation, not missing the smallest detail, listening to it all, from beginning to end.

"They started coming and I can't stop them." Stephen replied to Peter's question of "what's happening?!".

The wizard had spoken with difficulty because he was using his utmost efforts to contain the cracks.

"There has to be something we can do." Peter said sounding desperate, suddenly an idea occurred to him. "Can't you just cast the spell again? But the original way before I screwed it up." He clarified the last thing.

"But is too late for that, they're already here." Stephen answered annoyed, then he shouted at Peter in a harsh voice, hurting him but not really meaning to, but rather carried away by an impulse due to the desperate situation they were living in. "And they came because of you!"

Peter felt hit by those strong but certain words shouted in his face, he lowered his head slightly, looked down for a few seconds, towards an unspecific point on the statue that was in the center of the battle site, the one that was his support and the one under his feet wrapped in the nanotechnology Spider-Man suit that the late Mr. Stark had made for him, he gathered his courage, took a few short breaths of air, and then raised his head again.

Stephen didn't want to look at him so he shook his head to the side.

Peter waited for a second, when Strange looked at him again, Peter fixed his dark brown eyes on his blue ones and prepared to speak.

Peter had just come up with another idea, he didn't like it but... he didn't know what else he could do, it was the only way.

"What if everyone forgot who I am?" Peter suggested, trying to hide the intense pain he felt behind those words.

There he went, he had already launched his idea, now Strange would evaluate it and... probably tell him yes, that it was the only way.

"What?" Stephen asked, opening and closing his eyes rapidly a couple of times in surprise, he was bewildered.

"They're coming here because of me, right? Because I'm Peter Parker." Peter explained the obvious, took even more courage and said with great determination and maturity. "So cast a new spell but this time make everyone forget who Peter Parker is." He spoke louder. "Make everyone forget... me." He finished with a heavy breath.

"No." Stephen replied, his voice a little broken, in denial and dejected at having to do so.

He knew Peter was right, that he had to do it but he didn't want to do it, it was too painful.

And it would be much more painful for Peter.

"But it would work, right?" Peter said to clear up any doubts but the truth was that he was sure it would work, in any case it might be good for Peter that Strange confirm it for him.

"Yeah, it would work but you have to understand that would mean that everyone who knows and loves you, we... we would all... have no memory of you, as if you had never existed." Stephen explained, his voice much calmer than a moment ago, but sounding sad and transmitting to Peter the pain he felt at having to do it through his eyes.

Strange's eyes were beginning to water slightly from the formation of small tears that he wouldn't shed because he had to be strong in front of the boy who was having it worse and was going to have it worse than him.

Peter swallowed heavily after what Strange said, then let out a small, heavy sigh.

"I know." Peter said and stared at Strange, who looked back at him pitifully. "Do it." Peter asked very determinedly, then took a few short breaths of air through his mouth.

Strange was silent for a few thousandths of a second.

"Okay." The wizard agreed, once again showing the pain he felt, then he nodded to Peter to the side and added. "Go say goodbye, you don't have much time."

"Thank you, sir." Peter said and made a move to leave but Strange's voice stopped him.

"Call me Stephen." Stephen said with a bit of amusement.

"Thank you, Stephen." Peter obeyed politely.

That was how his aunt May had raised him, hopefully she was alive, it was a recent loss in Peter's life and the loss of the only close relative he had left, now he was alone, completely alone as far as family was concerned.

He still had his best friends but he was about to lose them, they and everyone else would forget who Peter Parker is, Peter would erase his existence from their lives.

Strange let out a short, almost inaudible laugh accompanied by a smile.

"Yeah, it still feels weird." Stephen answered Peter, keeping the amusement in his tone of voice, but this time mixed with pain for what was about to happen.

Peter gave him a smile.

"See you around." The teenager told him but he didn't know why he had told him that if it wasn't true.

Strange would forget him too.

Then Peter leapt away, leaving Strange staring in pain at the spot on the statue where he had been.

"Goodbye son." Stephen said to Peter in a warm voice but Peter didn't hear him because he had already left, then he swallowed hard and stared at the horizon as if lost.

Strange had affectionately called Peter "son", not being serious but there was someone hiding in the shadows who didn't take it that way.

"He is not your son, he is mine" Tony couldn't help but think in an extremely possessive way because he was feeling a strong and uncontrollable jealousy because that man, that "Stephen", had said "son" to HIS son, he was also jealous of the affectionate smile that Peter had directed at the man, he could only smile like that at him.

Tony tightened his grip on the edge of the nearby metal beam he'd been using to hide behind, crumpling it like simple aluminum foil beneath his strong fingers covered in the silver suit of his endo-symbiotic armor.

Tony was holding back, he had a strong desire to fly towards that poor attempt at a god and kill him but he decided not to do it for the moment, he had to solve everything first before that spell made him lose Peter.

Why did Tony call Stephen god? Because he was playing at being one, wanting to make everyone forget who Peter Parker is so he could contain those stupid cracks and then close them when Tony, with his incredible genius-level intelligence, had already discovered within minutes of being in that universe, suddenly finding out about everything, a better way to do it and that above all didn't entail the risk of him forgetting his son, Peter.

Tony would never allow that Stephen to use that useless spell, he didn't want him to cast it because he didn't want to lose Peter, what guarantees did he have that it wouldn't affect him too? Making him forget about him just because he was in this universe? It was perfectly possible.

Tony wasn't afraid of anything but the only thing he was afraid of, or rather terrified of, was anything that could endanger Peter and the fact that Stephen cast that spell was definitely risky because if Tony forgot about Peter... who would take care of the teenager?

The few minutes that Tony had been watching him made it clear to him that the boy needed adult supervision, he probably didn't have it, the Tony Stark of this universe must be dead, and so must aunt May.

Why was Tony now sure of that? Because he had scanned the entire battle area with his enhanced vision and hadn't seen Tony Stark, and there was no way a Tony Stark would leave a Peter Parker alone, much less injured, and the only other person who could care much about Peter was his aunt May, who wasn't there either.

In conclusion Tony sensed that Peter was alone, and needed someone to take care of him and be aware of his outings as Spider-Man, especially if he didn't have Extremis running through his veins, nor would he have it, not after the second dose that had killed the Peter of Tony's universe.

Superior Iron Man scanned Peter with his electric blue eyes and felt a lump in his throat, he really did have a lot of wounds that looked painful, including an eye with internal blood, which tempted Tony to look away to save himself the pain of having to see him.

Peter urgently needed the best care, just as Tony longed to have him under his protective wings...

Okay, Tony was fantasizing but you could blame Peter and his incredible ability to attract his attention without looking for it, especially now that Tony had become Superior, his possessiveness towards the boy had increased by 100% and would never go down, not until he had Peter by his side, under his intense scrutiny, under his gaze 24/7.

But if Tony wanted to get there he had to get ahead of Stephen's attempted god and close the cracks in the sky that connected multiple universes himself, after all it would be easy because Tony was a god, he was Superior Iron Man no more no less.

So that's what he did, using his incredible enhanced abilities Tony closed the cracks, preventing the universe they were in from collapsing and without having to make Stephen carry out the foolish plan that his desperate son had come up with.

Now that everything was resolved people would no longer forget who Peter Parker was, that meant that Tony would not forget either for being there at that moment, nobody would forget Peter because Stephen had not managed to cast the spell, Tony had gotten there first and had solved the problem in a better way, without that huge collateral damage.

Thank goodness Tony had ended up in that universe and had acted in time because if he were to forget who Peter Parker was to him... he would forget the reason he had to live, to breathe every day, to continue existing, luckily that was not going to happen, everything was solved.

"What?" Peter said in disbelief as he looked at the no longer so dark night sky that had returned to normal, it was beginning to dawn.

Strange had told him that he didn't have much time to say goodbye but this was definitely not any time at all, Peter had barely had time to say goodbye to Peter 2 (Tobey) and Peter 3 (Andrew), and to MJ and Ned.

Something had definitely happened, Strange had not been the one to close the cracks, Peter knew it because he would have given him some more time, he insisted that this was no time at all.

Peter stopped looking at the sky to look at his friends who were standing in front of him, both Peter, MJ and Ned had tears in their eyes because they had been saying goodbye.

Peter had told his girlfriend and his best friend that they were going to have to forget his existence so that everything could be solved but what also disconcerted Peter was that everything was already solved and from the understanding looks that MJ and Ned were giving him at that moment... they hadn't forgotten him, not even a little.

Why? It wasn't that Peter was complaining, in fact he was starting to get happier than he had been in a long time but he was still baffled because seriously, why? Maybe he was wrong and Strange had been the one to close the cracks in the end but without casting the spell they had talked about? Maybe Strange had solved it in another way?

Peter (Tobey) and Peter (Andrew) took a giant leap, landing near Peter, Ned and MJ, the group was standing on Captain America's gigantic shield that had fallen from the Statue of Liberty.

Peter (Tobey) was already feeling better from the stab that the Green Goblin had given him so he had been able to take that great leap to reach Peter and he no longer needed Peter (Andrew) to help him stay on his feet.

Peter noticed that Peter 2 (Tobey) and Peter 3 (Andrew) were looking at him with the same understanding look that MJ and Ned had just given him, meaning they hadn't forgotten him either.

Peter smiled with excitement, relief and joy because he thought it was a good thing, a very good thing in fact.

The three Peters were being watched closely by Superior Iron Man, who was still hiding in the deteriorating beam construction.

Tony recognized Peter (Tobey) and Peter (Andrew), he had seen them only once in another universe when he was looking for Peter but they were not the right Peter he needed, they did not look physically like him nor did he feel a special connection with them as with his Peter.

In other words they were trash to Tony, the only Peter he was interested in was his Peter's identical double, the younger Peter, the teenager who in this universe Tony estimated to be about 17 years old, the exact age that the Peter of his universe would have been if he had lived.

Yes, that was the Peter Tony wanted and would have.

Tony didn't know why there was more than one Peter in this universe but he didn't care, and judging by the injuries of the other two Peters they were already in this universe before he arrived, obviously they had helped Peter in the fight, they were obviously friends but Tony didn't care either, soon he would separate them, he would catch the Peter he wanted, he would take him with him to his universe and they would never return.

Peter's genuine smile spread to the others, who smiled back, although confusion was a feeling present in the 5 members of the group standing on the shield, joy was also present, everyone was happy because it seemed that everything had been resolved.

Well not everything, the most urgent thing, people still needed to forget who Spider-Man is, except for his closest friends and the people he wanted to know but they would figure it out later, the important thing was that they had returned to the starting point and their universe "magically" was not about to be destroyed, later there would be time to ask Strange to help them with that again, to make Peter's hero identity secret again.

Strange was worried, not elated like the others, because it was not normal at all that such a big problem had been solved out of nowhere without him having to cast the spell that Peter asked him to that would make people forget who Peter Parker is, it was not normal at all, he had the feeling that it was the calm before the storm.

A bigger storm that was brewing.

And he was right.

Superior Iron Man hid himself even more, covering himself with the shadow of a large beam near him, he needed that shade now that it was dawn and the sunlight was making the hardened metal of his silver endo-symbiotic armor shine.

His electric blue eyes suddenly glowed as Tony further enhanced his improved vision so he wouldn't miss any gesture or movement from Peter, his son, and at the same time he also sharpened his developed ears so he wouldn't miss any detail of the conversation that was about to take place several meters away.

It was going to be a conversation between Peter and the two Peters that Tony had already met in other universes, and with Ned and MJ, whom Tony knew very well because there was also a Ned and an MJ in his home universe, they had been his son's best friends, and in MJ's case more than that, Tony knew that Peter liked her and had given him the go-ahead to ask her out but the boy hadn't been encouraged.

But unfortunately Ned and MJ had died and their deaths had been added to a sudden list of loved ones that Peter had lost, the list consisted of Ned, MJ, aunt May, Harley, Pepper and Happy.

All those deaths had been triggers that plunged Peter into a deep depression that he suffered greatly from and that was what awakened in Tony the dark feelings of obsessive, sick and twisted protection towards his son.

That darkness was heightened when Tony injected himself with Extremis, and then when Peter died from a second dose of Extremis, all of which led to Tony being who he was today.

The best version for his son, the one he thought he needed, although Peter probably didn't see it that way at first, Tony was going to have to work on that, on earning his affection, on getting him to accept this him who was surely very different from the Tony Stark Peter was used to.

Speaking of Peter... Tony didn't like what he was seeing, he frowned, realizing that the strange man, this Stephen, was coming down from the sky to meet Peter and the others.

The jealousy that Tony had already felt before grew dangerously stronger when he saw how he was approaching his son, once again he wanted to kill the man but he kept his desire to himself because it wasn't the right time, first he didn't want to show himself in front of Peter yet, second he didn't want to face three Peters together and third he even less wanted to face three Peters together and a wizard that he knew nothing about and seemed to be powerful.

Look, Tony was very conceited, he considered himself a god so he was absolutely sure he could handle them all but he didn't want to complicate things unnecessarily, that impulsive way of acting was not his style.

His style was more about thinking of a good plan.

So Tony held back his possessive, paternal jealousy directed towards Peter because of Stephen, thinking of him as Stephen because he didn't know his last name yet, and decided to leave the wizard alive for the moment.

Tony had a lot to learn about this unknown universe, which he certainly would, and he would add to the list the weaknesses of the wizard who could be dangerous so he would kill him later.

Tony wasn't going to leave him alive but not only because he was powerful and could interfere with his plans, no, the main reason was because Stephen seemed to be a replacement for Tony Stark in Peter's life, Tony hadn't missed how both had the potential to develop a father and son relationship, much less intense than a father and son relationship between a Tony and a Peter but a father and son relationship at the end.

Tony didn't like it at all, he didn't like it at all!

He would never allow something as aberrant as that.

The word "son" coming out of Stephen's lips in that repulsive voice repeated itself in Tony's head in a masochistic act, stabbing deeper and deeper into his heart, not even the shrapnel had gone that far, this... this was worse.

It hurt Tony a lot because only he could call Peter son! No one else! Definitely no one else!

Tony's blue eyes shone brighter, his breathing became a little heavy, labored, and his hand gripped a healthy area of the beam tighter, easily wrinkling it again, as if it were simple aluminum foil, now that beam had two very noticeable damaged parts.

Tony had to try to control himself a little more so he tried, with great effort he managed his recent outburst of anger, dimming his blue eyes, loosening his hand and breathing normally again.

Thanks to his sheer force of will he managed to do it before it was too late and he was noticed by the spider-sense of three Peter Parkers who were nearby, not close enough to him but not too far away either.

The truth is that Tony preferred not to take any risks, he insisted that it was not the time for Peter to see him, even though what Tony wanted most was to have him wrapped in his protective arms right now.

"I'm better off with a good plan, I'm better off with a good plan, it is better for me to put together a good plan, not acting impulsively" Tony repeated firmly in his mind a few times to control his growing and increasingly uncontrollable desire to go after Peter.

It was a real torture to have him so close but so far away at the same time, he had searched for him universe by universe for three years, he had just found him and he still couldn't have him, in fact it wasn't convenient for him to have him the way he wanted, if he wanted to he could have him right now but that wasn't advisable.

Oh, but Tony would have him, he would have his Peter and in a better way.

"Get ready Peter, your dad is coming for you" thought Superior Iron Man with a predatory smile as his electric blue eyes glowed brightly once again.
