--Lukesse--

I looked up from the book I was reading. Aiden was pacing around the room. Having no idea why, I was curious about what he was doing. "Aiden? What's up?" I stood from the couch I was sitting on.
"What do we do for the building competition? We've beat Jesse with a lot of cool builds, but I don't know what to do this year."
I sighed. Petra was out getting me a nether star, so I could make a beacon to impress everyone. Especially Jesse. Maybe she would think I was... cool?
"Let's make a build with a beacon." I said, hoping Aiden would buy my idea. He stopped pacing.
"That's actually not a bad idea, Lukas." He walked over to a chest next to my bookshelf. "I've got some stained glass. Maybe we can use these?"
I almost forgot we were trying to beat Jesse and her friends. But whatever she was doing, would probably be awesome, either way. I nodded, as Aiden handed me the different colored glass.
Then Maya and Gill came into the living room.
"Hey, what's going on?" Maya asked.
"We have an idea for what to build at Endercon." I said.
"Well, Lukas came up with it." Aiden gave me a redstone repeater. I was never good at redstone, but every time Jesse built, I studied their redstone patterns. Maya was good at it, though. I was more into building.
"So, what're we building?" Gill asked.
"We're gonna build a rainbow beacon machine." I announced, feeling proud of my idea. Being the leader of the Ocelots, they couldn't say no. So they nodded, and helped Aiden get some supplies out of the chest.
While the rest of the Ocelots were getting ready, I wanted to make sure I had everything, before we left. I grabbed my book, in case we finished early, my sword, for when mobs spawn, and my leather jacket.
After a while, we were ready for Endercon. I wanted to make sure that our plan would work. "So, guys, I was hoping we could use the stained glass with some sticky pistons, to change it different colors."
"That's, actually not too bad. Think you can handle it, Maya?" Aiden asked.
Maya nodded, and kept playing with her repeater.
We finally arrived at Endercon. We walked up to the woman at the front desk.
"Name, please?" She asked.
"The Ocelots." I said.
"Alright, Ocelots, you guys are in booth six." She woman started writing in the notebook on the desk. Me and the Ocelots were heading for our booth, until Petra came up to me.
"Hey, Lukas. I got that Nether Star." She said, giving me the star. I smiled, and gave her two diamonds and an emerald. She smiled back, and headed for the front desk.
"Hey guys. Guess what I got?" I asked, hoping they would know. They didn't answer, they just looked at me, waiting for me to tell them. "Check it out." I whispered, pulling out the star. I kept it low, so no one saw.
"Is that what we're using for the beacon?" Gill asked. I nodded. He smiled at me. "Cool."
I crafted the Nether Star into a beacon, and it glowed in my hand. I put it in the chest, so I didn't have to carry it, everywhere. Aiden put the rest of the items in the chest, too.
Then Jesse's group came. "Look! It's the Order Of The Losers!" Gill said, pointing at her group.
"Good one, Gill!" Maya laughed. I looked at Jesse's green eyes, as she got closer to her booth, my heart started pounding. So I did the first thing that came to my mind.
"Let's go, guys." I said, walking away, from the embarrassment.
But when I looked up from taking out my beacon, I saw Aiden yelling at The Order Of The Pig.
"Stop wasting your time, Aiden. We've got work to do." I said, pointing at our empty lot.
"You're lucky I'm busy!" Aiden yelled, as he walked back to our booth.
Then Petra came back.
"Hey Jesse. Guys." She said.
"Hey Petra." Jesse smiled.
I walked up to Petra, forgetting that there was a beautiful girl next to her. "Petra. I forgot to thank you for that Nether Star." I said. My heart was pounding as each word escaped my lips.
"Sure, Lukas. Not a problem." Petra said.
"You helped these tools?" Axel asked.
"For the right price, I'll help anyone." Petra started walking away. "If you need me, you know where to find me."
"But no one knows where to find you." Olivia said.
"Exactly."
"No hard feelings, guys. If you're cool with Petra, you're cool with us." I turned from Petra, only to come face to face with Jesse. Trying to hard not to sweat, I tried to change the subject. "So, let's forget about all this, and make this about how cool our builds are." I rubbed the back of my neck. It was dripping wet.
"May the best team win." Jesse said.
That voice made me smile, every time I heard it. "Careful what you wish for." I said, turning to the announcer.
I walked back to my booth, when Jesse wasn't paying attention. I wasn't listening to the announcer, at all. I was trying to pay attention to our build, but all I could look at was Jesse's big, bright, green eyes. They were so beautiful. My eyes were locked onto hers. I was forced to clap when I heard the Ocelots cheering. And that was when we did our handshake. We bumped chests, and chanted Ocelots while doing our specially made handshake.
"Building. Starts... Now!" The announcer yelled. I forced my gaze away from Jesse as we began to build out rainbow beacon machine.
"Ooh, a fireworks dispenser? I'm so scared!" Aiden teased. I finally understood what Jesse was building. Fireworks? I knew we were gonna lose. Not only can the judges say no to a beautiful girl, but fireworks?
"You worry about your build, and we'll worry about ours." Jesse snapped.
We were almost done with the machine, and Aiden wanted to take a break.
I wasn't sure what was going on, until I saw Jesse's complete build. It was a wool zombie? How can we beat a wool zombie, and fireworks? A large crowd surrounded the build. The attention it deserved.
"What? No way!" I heard Aiden yell. "It's just a bunch of dyed wool!" He hit a piece of stone that was blocking lava from pouring all over the place. "Whoops!" He said. The lava spread to Jesse's pet pig, and set the costume he was wearing on fire. He ran into the forest.
"Rueben! No! Come back!" Jesse yelled.
"It was Aiden! That punk!" Axel pointed.
"The lava's getting closer!" Olivia said.
"It's gonna ruin the build!"
There was a pause.
"Reuben's gonna get lost!"
Jesse turned around, and said something I couldn't hear. I jumped down, and ran to Aiden. I pushed him so he could see me.
"Why'd you do that?" I yelled.
"You wanna win, don't you?"
I groaned, and pushed him. I turned around, but Jesse ran passed me, and pushed Aiden off his feet. I could feel the air as she ran. My heart heated so loudly, but only once. Having no idea why, I ran after her.
"Jesse?" I yelled, hoping she heard me, but at the same time she didn't. I called for her again.
I heard a loud scream, coming from behind a hill. I ran to the noise, and saw the girl of my dreams about to be killed. Her pig ran passed me. I knew what I had to do. I took out my sword, and took out all of the monsters faster than you can blink.
Jesse looked up, with a terrified expression on her face.
"Lukas?" She asked. My heart skipped a beat. I turned around. Jesse was looking into my eyes. I was probably more terrified than she was.
"You OK?" Was all I could say. I helped her off the ground. My heart was beating in my throat, when she took my hand.
She smiled when she got to my level. We were locked into each others gaze. Jesse giggle, a little, and before I knew it, she kissed me. I thought for sure I died. But I was lucky enough to see this beautiful girl kissing me. When she broke the kiss, she smiled, and took my hand. We ran out of the forest, and back to Endercon. Her zombie firework machine won! I wasn't too concerned about what happened to my build. Jesse's hand was in mine. I spent most of the night with Jesse. We didn't talk, we just walked with each other, holding each others hands. It was the day I never forgot.
