#35 Hux's Mistake Kylo's Chance
Not a request just taking a little break from them will continue tomorrow.
Synopsis: You and Hux broke up. You take days off because of it and you're upset Kylo could feel your sadness. So Kylo comforts you by visitation at your worst time in your life and by sending you food tons of it. Kylo's extremely worried about you and eventually comforts you in a sweet way.
You and General Hux had been dating for 7 months. He was good to you until he snapped. It was a huge fight you both had injuries. You slapped him after his rude comments and he had bruised up your arms a bit with his tight grip on them. But it wasn't anything you wouldn't recover from. You were a strategist for their military and you were very good at your job. You were hired by General Hux himself which was when you two first met and sort of just clicked. But if anything bothered you most about Hux it was his constant coldness towards all of his subordinates and even you. It set you off. As of 2 hours ago you and Hux broke up and practically the entire cruiser heard about it after both of you're yelling continued for some time.
You were distraught a mess you needed a break a day off. So you headed straight to your own chambers. Hux locked himself in his office prepared to kill anyone who came near him and Kylo could sense that he was on edge when entering the bridge.
So Kylo walked over to the new commander he had hired for his old position as he was greeted formally.
"Where's Admiral (Y/LN)?"
"She's taking the day off and headed back to her quarters," the commander replied.
"Call her back we had a meeting," Kylo said coldly he had been looking forward to this meeting.
But the commander didn't move he simply looked down towards his feet.
"Is there an issue commander," Kylo questioned his patience growing thin.
"Supreme Leader I don't think she'll be of much help to us today," Kylo simply grew more confused with this comment. Suddenly Hux walked out from his office walking over towards the pair who were now watching Hux. Kylo watched carefully as Hux grabbed a towel wiping his eyes and breathing heavily while fixing his hair not even making eye contact with Kylo.
The Commander spoke up, "they broke up," hearing this Kylo nodded walking down the bridge suddenly a smile tugged at his lips as he whistled to himself walking to your quarters.
You were very upset, heartbroken Hux was like a different person when he was with you but as time drew on he didn't prioritise you and you meant less and less to him. You felt like nothing, like you had no value. Hux made you feel worthless like a burden to everyone in the ship. You just wanted to be alone. So you were sitting on the couch in the center of your living room staring at a grey wall with nothing but terrible thoughts wracking your brain.
Tears were falling and you felt like your heart was literally tearing in half. But then there was a knock on your door. It wasn't a banging sound so it probably wasn't Hux but you really didn't want to see anyone anyways. You dried your eyes glancing at a mirror to see your eyes were red. You stood in front of the door and slowly pressed the key pad as it slid open in front of you. You looked straight ahead as your eyes were met by black material and slowly lifted up your eyes to meet chocolate brown ones.
"I'm not going to ask you if you are ok because I know you're not I can feel it I can feel your pain," you looked back down to his chest not saying a word.
"Are you just going to stay here...all day," he asked quietly trying to get a good look at you as he bent down a little due to height difference.
"I'm taking a...sad day," you confessed quietly meeting his eyes again. He stood silently staring down at your delicate figure. But what he did surprised you. He grasped both of your shoulders walking forwards meaning you were walking backwards until he reached the couch. Which he then pushed you down to sit on with his strength. As he knelt in front of you he looked at your face much more easily.
"You're not alone and you're not worthless," He stated calmly as you looked up from your lap.
"I have to go," you nodded silently focusing on the wall again. He stood up giving you one last glance and then turned walking out of your quarters sliding the door shut behind him.
He knew you wanted to be alone but he really didn't want to leave you alone. If you'd have asked he would have cancelled all of his meetings for the day just to sit in silence next to you. Just to stand in the same room as you was enough for Kylo but not now. Not that he might actually have a chance because technically Hux stole you away from Kylo before he had even gotten to meet you so now it was his chance.
Hux fucked up so Kylo would undo his mistake.
Kylo left you alone to let you think and repair for the rest of the day. But then the next morning came. Kylo walked out onto the bridge and you weren't in sight again. He wasn't irritated he was more concerned with your well being. He had left you with your self degrading thoughts all day and night suddenly regretting doing such a thing. He couldn't bear the idea of you hurting yourself. He walked straight to your quarters knocking on the door again but there was no answer so he knocked again. After you didn't let him in he spent no time waiting he slid the door open himself and walked in. You were sitting on the floor with your back against the couch staring at the grey wall from yesterday. He slowly made his way over to your fragile state unsure of what he was walking into. But you simply sat silently looking in front of you. You weren't even upset anymore you were just worn out and drained of energy. Kylo when examining the side of your face found it to be much more pale than he wanted it to be. He walked over to your kitchen sink filling a glass of water and bringing it over to you setting it next to your hand.
Then a stormtrooper yelled from the door way, "you're needed in the control room sir very important," kylo growled under his breath. But before he left he rubbed your forearm gently. Which to his surprise was cold. Your skin was cold this made him worry even more not wanting to leave you but the stormtrooper was waiting.
"Drink this, please" he said calmly as you sat still not even looking at him or the water. He let go of your arm and stood staring at you for a moment longer then walked with the stormtrooper to the control room.
Kylo was worried he was very worried afraid as to how long you would be sitting there. He knew it wasn't good. After about 3 hours of his visit the door slid open as a stormtrooper walked in with a tray of pasta, fruits, sweets and different drinks. Things he had seen you eat and drink before. The trooper set it to your left as he walked out again.
You didn't move you couldn't you had no strength no will to move to eat to do anything. You were just tired. Another 4 hours passed as the trooper came back in with soup and crackers and hot tea. He sat that tray next to the other one. The stormtrooper looked at you for a moment pausing as though they wanted to say something but then walked out again.
You slept there sitting on the floor.
It had been two days since you'd eaten. Kylo was a mess an absolute mess he couldn't focus he thought you were dyeing. So he did what he had to he took the day off. You were his priority and you needed him much more than the order did at the moment. He locked the throne room and made his way to your quarters not even bothering to knock as he stood in the doorway. He'd had enough, Hux had destroyed you mentally and now physically and Kylo hated him for that, how he affected you so much. As kylo looked down at the platters you hadn't touched he took in a deep breath but realised that no one had really been there to support you. Or even just to be with you by your side and Kylo would so that now. Kylo walked towards you stepping over trays of food he had sent you until he stood in front of your figure. Then he stepped further over your legs then sitting at your right side. He moved his eyes to the wall as you had been doing for 2 and a half days now. But then he turned his eyes back to you swallowing his anxiety.
"(Y/N)," he paused hoping you'd look at him but you didn't.
"You're one of the best strategists of the first order." He needed to remind you of who you were. "Hux didn't make you that, he doesn't own you he didn't make you who you are. You came here with those skills he didn't give any of that to you. He treated you horribly and you don't have to deal with him anymore," Kylo was getting through to you he hoped and you were hearing him as your eyes moved from the wall to the floor. He was relaxing a little now realising that you were thinking about what he was saying .
"You deserve someone who appreciates you, someone who wants to see you everyday even though they see you at work anyways. Someone who wants to bring you food and make sure you're alright. Someone that wants to come home after work just to see you sleeping in bed or reading a book on the couch. Someone like me." He laid it all out on the table for you.
You slowly digested all of it looking over towards his shoulder you saw that his legs were crossed like yours. You closed your eyes and leaned over toward him as your head rested gently in his lap. He was confused yet exhilarated. He had never had you in such close proximity to him. He calmed his excitement as he rose a hand to your hair stroking it softly. Then he leaned down and kissed the top of your head breathing steadily taking in your presence. You were peaceful you felt relieved to feel his skin. Eventually he could tell you fell asleep in his lap as he picked you up carrying you over to your bed and laying you down gently. He took off his shirt and laid down next to you pulling you into his bare chest. Which you gladly slept on and in the morning Kylo would make sure you ate breakfast because no matter how long it took he would undo all of the pain Hux had caused you.
