You watched as the sun slowly went down the horizon. You had a perfect view of the sunset while you waited on your balcony for the right time. Fuck the rules. You didn't care if your parents placed you under house arrest or disowned you. This was the day you've been waiting for after four whole years of waiting. From the last years of high school to this day where you finally start to rebel more against your parents right after your graduation a few months ago. You were twenty-two, independence and freedom was calling. You were now an adult who can make your own decisions without anyone telling you though your parents were very protective of you. They'd even call the SWAT team for a search for you around the whole country. But now today was the day you can finally freely express yourself better.

"Psst!" You jumped in surprise as you looked down to see your girlfriend, Olivia. You smiled in glee as she signaled you that it was safe to come down. You tied your escape rope on the posts and carefully slid down towards the warm sand. Your toes were instantly invaded with sand, but you didn't mind. You grew up near the beach your whole life loving the sea. (Sorry if you don't.)

"(Y/N)!" You looked back at the porch to see your parents running out of the house. "Get back here this instant young lady or your grounded!"

You laughed heartily with Olivia as you finally succeeded your dream to become free and independent from the prison that kept you away from your true self these past few years. You saw a red Maserati up ahead with the window down showing the familiar faces of your friends.

"Hurry before they start without us!" Antonio shouted at the both of you. Then you both heard a different engine in motion. You didn't want to look back. You already knew that it was your parents on the Jeep. You cursed and ran faster with all your might dragging Olivia.

"They won't catch us, just don't look back Cherry." You smiled at the nickname she gave you as concentrated on the

You practically ripped the Maserati's door open as you and Olivia crushed into one another while closing the door.

"DRIVE! DRIVE! DRIVE!" You yelled as Lovino, Antonio's boyfriend, stepped on it. You and Olivia were pulled back from the acceleration as Lovino cussed aloud. You both looked back at the Jeep to see it falling behind from the hot-headed driving skills of the Italian. You started to laugh in relief and with the feeling of accomplishment. You looked at Olivia with tear-filled eyes as she looked at you worriedly.

"Oi ragazza! What are you crying about there?"

"Nothing! I'm just happy that I did that." You hugged Olivia as she hugged you back. "Finally we can be happy Cupcake!"

"Your the cherry on top that makes me complete and you know that Cherry." You laughed and shared a short kiss as the two Latinos in front smiled at you both while Antonio's hand was on Lovino's who was holding the gear shift knob.

The four of you finally were at your destination. Thousands, perhaps nearly half of the people in the city, came to one big parade. You and Olivia both wore matching bandanas that had the colors of the Pride Flag on it around your necks as you both held sparklers. There were glow sticks in your pockets and glow in the dark bracelets that Olivia somehow got you to wear with her.

You both walked along as one of the couples in the Pride Parade. Now you know why they call it a Pride Parade. You felt proud being the person you've always have been inside finally out yelling that you're proud to be one of these people. You held hands through the night as the sparklers gave off the light and attention as others cheered. The sidewalk was full off people who cheered and supported you. Others came to the street joining the parade. You cheered along with your friends and lover.

You finally stopped walking in the middle of the walk. Olivia looked back at you worried again.

"What's wrong Cherry?" She asked as others started to circle around you. Your heart skipped beats faster in nervousness as you placed your hands behind your back and pulled out something from your back pocket. You took out a cherry that was a key.

"Do you still have that locket I gave you?" Olivia nodded as she took out a pink cupcake locket studded with the rose quartz that was missing the cherry on top. "Can I borrow it?" She took it off and gave it to you.

'Here goes nothing...' You took a deep breath and placed the cherry on top and twisted it. The locket opened as Olivia gasped in surprised. You opened it hesitantly as you opened it to reveal a ring with large garnet on top with emeralds studded around the silver band.

"Do I have..." You started to stutter as you kneeled down. The people around started to holler and cheer.

"The permission..." Olivia's eyes widened.

"To be the cherry in your life my sweet cupcake, Ms. Olivia Kirkland?"

"Of course."

The crowd cheered as you placed the ring on Olivia's finger. You shared a long and passionate kiss that made the crowd cheer some more. You both broke away as you cried in joy.

"I love you Cherry."

"I love you too Cupcake."

You all along with the parade celebrated the victory. It was worth it. Before you would always say that you wouldn't fall in love with someone because of your size, but guess again. This love wins. Everyone's love wins. Love is equal. Wether you're short or tall, fat or skinny, physically challenged or not, mentally challenged or not, or you're a man or a woman, you can always fall in love with the most unexpected someone you would find in your life. That's why love always wins. It is an unexpected part of life where you discover who you are and what you feel more comfortable with outside of your comfort zone.

I had a fun time writing this I swear! Thank you inspiration for leaving me at the last sentence... Fuck you for leaving me come back dammit! I wanted to add more words, but inspiration can be a bitch sometimes you know.
