Christmas Special! (SuFin x Child! Reader)

Thank you @dltpdms0821 for this! I love your concept! X3

Once upon a December there was a little girl who was always in goddamn trouble around the foster home she resides in. Everyday she would create trouble. You could say that she was a problem child.

Her story starts here somewhere in the first week of December...

December 4

You were merely nine or ten. You were in trouble again for placing in "Christmas Cards" in the stockings of the younger kids with a letter writing that Santa wasn't real.

"Santa isn't real!" You yelled. "If he was then where's my present goddammit!"

"Ms. (Y/n)! Watch your tongue or I'll cut it off!" The head mistress of the foster home scolded you as you stuck your tongue out.

"I hate Christmas!" You yelled and ran off to your room.

You locked your room's door and kicked one of your stuffed toys given to you by the visiting santas for foster homes.

You didn't like Christmas. You've been like this since you were five when your parents separated in the middle of your Christmas dinner. Your parents thought that it would be good for you to bring you to a foster home rather than letting you stat with your grandparents. Dumb move and look what it made you do.

"She's a lively one no?" You heard a man's voice outside your room.

Before the head mistress found about your whereabouts, a man was looking for someone to adopt. This has actually been going on since last week. A Finnish man with a Swedish man was going around the halls looking for a child to adopt.

The other kids gossiped that the Swedish man was scary. To you he wasn't scary as the other kids say. He was just that tall.

"What do you think Berwald?" The chirpy voice of one of the two men spoke.

You assumed you heard a grunt from the outside which was from the other man next to him.

"Are you sure about (Y/n)?" You heard the head mistress' voice. "She can be a bit of a... Delinquent."

"I heard that!" You yelled making them aware of your presence behind your door.

You heard a deep chuckle outside that made you confuse.

"(Y/n), please come out." The head mistress called out.

"Why should I?" You crossed your arms.

"Some nice men want to talk to you."

"You're the one who taught me how to not talk to strangers." The woman sighed.

"Can I try?" You heard the chirpy voice again.

"Of course." You heard a knock on the door.

"I don't wanna build a snowman~!" You singsonged making sure that the man might've sang that song.

"No, but would you rather play with a puppy?" Your eyes widened.

You immediately unlocked the door opening it for you to see who the man was.

He was down at your height that made you feel a bit offended. You closed the door again surprising the man.

"(Y/n)?"

"You have offended me." You yelled.

"Oh! I'm sorry, please open the door again." You hesitated. "Please?"

"Only if you talk to me properly."

"I will." You sighed and opened the door to find the man bending his knees a bit.

"Much better." You nodded with approval and crossed your arms.

"(Y/n), this is Mr. Tino and Mr. Berwald." You eyed them carefully.

"Are you both married?" You asked as you noticed the ring on the man who bent down his knees and one the other man who seemed to be the "scary" Swedish man.

Also you were confused. Why were their rings the same? Did they celebrate their marriage on the same day? Were they brothers? Were they best friends?

"Ah, Berwald here is my husband." The man who was talking to you smiled.

Suddenly you were just filled with both excitement and confusion. Confusion came first though.

"Wait, so you're both guys and you're married?" Tino looked at Berwald who just grunted.

"Ja."

"Is that even possible?" You tilted your head. "Is this even legal?"

"Of course!"

"So that means if I like a girl, I can marry her too?"

"Of course, why do you ask?"

"Because I always thought that a man should only marry a woman." You started to explain. "So it's okay for a girl to like a girl, a boy to like a boy, a girl to like a boy, and a boy to like a girl?"

"You're very curious aren't ya?" He ruffle your hair and smiled.

"So that means I have two dads? Sweet!" You cheered. "Then I'll act as the mom!"

"If you say so." He smiled as he carried you.

Maybe your Christmas wouldn't be so bad after all.

To present day...

After a few days you became problematic again. You felt more aggressive and distant from last week.

"(Y/n), please come out."

"Go away!"

Everything just seemed so familiar. Everything made you remember why you hated Christmas and why you didn't want to be adopted. You wanted your parents back, your real parents, and you wished that they've never separated. The everyday scene downstairs felt like you were at home again and it made you so nostalgic that you went back to your negative state.

"Santa didn't even grant my wish..." You balled up on your bed and cried.

The door opened with the light in the hallway illuminating your room.

"(Y/n)?"

"I said go away..." You cried as you felt someone's weight at the edge of your bed.

"(Y/n)?" It was Berwald.

"What do you want?" You looked at him.

He wasn't scary as the others say.

He was a gentle-hearted guy with a protective aura for his loved ones.

"Do you want to learn a secret?" You peeped up a bit from curiosity as you saw Berwald with a gentle smile on his face.

"I'm listening..." You crawled to him as he cupped your ears.

"What if I told you that I'm Santa's husband?"

"You? No way!" You looked at him in disbelief. "You're married to Mr. Tino!"

"What if I told you that Santa's name isn't Santa?" He asked you as you rose your eyebrow.

Suddenly you heard sleigh bells. Your eyes widened as you looked at him.

"Wait a minute!" You jumped off your bed and ran downstairs.

Suddenly you tripped and started to fall down the stairs, but you landed right on the couch that saved your fall. You immediately got up and wore your coat and boots. You opened the door to reveal the sleigh and the reindeers. Your eyes were suddenly filled with excitement as you saw Tino fixing the sacks of gifts in the sleigh.

"You're Santa?!"

"(Y/n)?!" Tino seemed shocked as he ran to you. "Y-You should be in bed! It's pass your bedtime."

"Bedtime schmedtime! More importantly." You cleared your throat. "You're Santa Claus? How come you never told me this?!"

"I-I'm sorry..." He hung his head down in shame as you heard a chuckle coming from behind.

It was Berwald dressed up in a Santa suit.

"Wait, so the ones who help you with gifts aren't elves but Mr. Berwald?!"

"Also us!" You looked at the street to see the friends of your foster parents.

"Mr. Mathias? Mr. Lukas? Mr. Emil?!" You exclaimed in surprise.

"I'm sorry (Y/n) I thought you'd hate me for not answering your letters." Tino started to cry.

Finally you understood. The letters you sent every year was a wish list not for toys, but for a happy family. You breathed in and out and hugged Tino. He hugged you back as you cried too.

"You did answer my letters." You hugged him smiling. "Now can you let Mr. Berwald join us? I feel like something's missing."

Tino laughed and signaled for Berwald to come and join the hug.

"Merry Christmas everyone!"
