"You need to stop acting like you had a procedure and act like you had a death"
I know this is not Hamilton, I wanted to write this and it didn't feel right to use Hamilton charaters for me. I really wanted to get this out there. I hope you guys get something out of this. Thank you for reading. Please comment your thoughts.
Emily, was 16, and she couldn't have been happier. Emily was a good student who was graduating with good grades and a full scholarship to the school she wanted. Her family was amazing and he wanted nothing more.
Noah, was 17, and he also had a good life. He wasn't as school smart as Emily was but he had come to term with that and he was completely fine with where he was in life. He had a part scholarship to the school he wanted and it was close to Emily.
The two of them were very close, they had been dating for years and saw them getting married. They saw a family with each other, kids dogs. They were happy with each other, then they made a bad choice which lead to another choice and led to many more horrible out comes. This is their story.
In the early morning of Friday the April 13th, Emily got up at 5am not to get all fancy for school but to take her daily run and so she had time to grab a shower. Emily was the definition of a tom boy; she only dressed up only when forced. She wore simple black Vans, which were breaking at the seems but she wore them anyway. Simple clothes where what Emily knew, and it was by choice. She was one to be on time to everything and tended to get frustrated when others were not. Soon enough she set out on her run.
Noah was completely different, he dressed nice most of the time. Simple, but elegant clothing choices Button up shirts and nice jeans that fit the way they should. Noah was a massive nerd by all standards except for one; he wasn't a kid who got all A's when he studied. He was a kid who worked his butt and was lucky to get a C in some classes. All this being said, Noah had a 3.0 and he couldn't have been prouder of himself, and his parents felt the same.
At 7 am that April morning, the two walked into school with out a clue that in this day would change the course of there lives. Noah walked down the hall: met Emily with a kiss on the cheek and took her hand in his. Before each other, they both felt high school relationships where stupid and never went anywhere. Thay was how they felt until one day they felt differently and made the choice to start dating just to prove it was stupid and to get both of them to stop thinking about it. They didn't think that they would fall in love; this was thay real love that would last unlike 90% of high school sweethearts. The two of them walked down the hallway talking and smiling. They felt connected to each other, they had figured out, the collages they wanted to go to were less than an hour from each other and they could meet up on the weekends.
"Emily, you want to come over to my house tonight? It will just be us for a few hours so I figure we will have the tv to ourselves and make fun or horrible movies."
"Sure, that sounds really fun."
"Great, you wanna go right after school?"
"Sure, let me check with my parents and I'll let you know."
"Sounds good, you can tell me at lunch."
Emily smiled and they went their separate ways to class. After school that day, Emily did in fact go to Noah's house. They didn't have any other intentions besides watching a movie but things got out of hand. They both wanted it, they both didn't try to stop it. Noah made sure to ask her if she was ok with this and she told him yes. They both didn't think of anything else they could come out of this. The teenage feeling of invincibility came into play, what could happen? It's just one time nothing will happen.' They couldn't have been more wrong.
Soon after that Emily began to feel paranoid about what they had done so she went to a free clinic with out anyone knowing and had them look. She was due in December; the nurses looked at her with two looks the first sympathy, the second judgment. Emily didn't tell anyone for quite a while, finally she knew she had to tell Noah. This was his baby too, he had a right to know. She called him up and waited for him to pick up. She only got his voicemail.
"Noah, call me This is important."
Noah hadn't put much thought into what might have happened not until he got her message. He had been camping the weekend and he didn't have cell service. When he got home and saw the message he called her.
"Emily, I'm so sorry I didn't have service this weekend. What's up?"
"I need to talk to you in person now," her voice was soft and slightly panicked
"Ok, where?"
"The Park on 5th."
"Be there in 10."
"Make it five," She spoke and hung up.
Emily and Noah met, the demour of the two was the same, worry.
"Sit down Noah," she spoke pacing slightly. She had no idea what he was going to say how he was going to react. She couldn't form the words she had practiced tell him. She didn't want to say it, saying it made it real. Once she told him she had to deal with it and find a solution. Neither of them where ready for this.
"Emily, what's going on," he asked as he sat down.
"Noah... I'm... I'm pregnant."
Noah just started laughing, he didn't want it to be real either," Emily That's funny."
"I'm not joking."
"Haha, really funny you can stop now."
"Noah, I'm not joking. I got checked out. I'm pregnant."
"Oh, sheet," Noah spoke softly before wrapping an arm around Emily.
" what are we going to do?"
"There is only one thing we can do," he spoke.
" I agree, no one can know and we can't take care of a child. I'll get the procedure. Please be there with me."
" I will."
Four months after they made that choice; they found themselves in the office of a therapist. The both of them were torn up with guilt and regret.
"You need to accept, it's was a death. You can't live in denial it happened and you have to come to terms with that."
Emily held back her sobs, she had chosen to kill her child. So many other people lose their kids in horrible events and she made a choice to kill her kid.
"Let's get a grave stone for her, have a funeral and go our separate ways. It's too hard for me too see you Noah."
"I know, and I agree. What is her name?"
"Christina."
"Christian, I love it."
A three year later Noah and Emily stood in front of Christina's grave; neither of them noticed each other through the grief. he was on a knee with his hand on the ground as if he was trying to be close to his lost daughter. He held in his arms a stuffed animal, a present for her third birthday.
Emily was sobbing and reaching for her baby. Noah was soon crying as well. He pulled Emily to him in a hug and let her sob into his chest.
"I know baby, I know. I miss her too."
"I'm sorry I told you to go away."
"No I'm sorry I left. I'm here now. I'm always here now."
The two sobbed with each other for a long time before getting up and going home together. They got married and had two other kids together before Emily and Noah passed on.
"Mommy, Daddy," a little girl ran up to the two of them.
"Baby, Girl. Come here," Emily pulled the girl, her daughter in her arms and held her. Noah wrapped his arms around the two of them.
"I love you," Christiana spoke to them.
