Alex...." She paused. "You leave me helpless."
He smiled widely, he loved this girl
"Eliza, you leave me breathless."
Eliza blushed and smiled as Alex grabbed her hand and soft music played in the room. Alex softly slid his hands on her waist, her hands on his shoulders. Everything soon faded out as they moved around the room, she looked deep into his eyes and him into hers. Either of them wanted this to end, they both didn't want this to end. Alex had Eliza pulled close to him, as they swayed and moved around the room. She laid her head on his chest, they continued to move around the floor, thinking about how lucky she was to have Alexander. He looked at her, he thought about how much he didn't deserve her.
"Eliza," Alex asked stopping
"Yes, Alexander?"
"I'm sorry."
"For what?"
"I'm sorry for everything I've done to you, the stuff that happened with ...... with Maira, I made myself out to be the victim, I wasn't...," he rambled.
"Alex, stop, I already forgave you for that, we all make mistakes, it's ok, I know you won't do it again, right," Eliza interrupted him.
"I swear it with everything I have, I love you Eliza, it's always been you."
"And it's always been you, since the day I saw you at the ball, Alexander I love you too," Eliza spoke breathlessly.
They danced for several more hours, this was the only day in a long time that Alex had stopped writing long enough to be with her. She knew he was procrastinating but Eliza didn't care, she didn't want anything more than him to be with her. She loved him, and to be with him made everything in her feel warm.
"Alexander?"
"What is it,Eliza?"
"Can we go sleep, I'm about to fall over," she laughed.
"Of course, Betsy," he replied and pulled away keeping his hand in hers. They walked off to the bed room, Alex let go of her hand to let her go change. He changed himself and about 20 minutes later Eliza came back and laid down. Alexander wrapped an arm around her, pulling her close to him. They spent the next several hours talking about the both of them. It was already dawn before they both fell asleep. Eliza being the first one to fall asleep, naturally woke up first. She looked over to Alex and smiled, he was finally getting some sleep. Making a mental note, to make sure he stoped procrastinating, she got up and when and put all of her 17 layers of, her dress on. Alexander woke up about two hours later and walked out to the living room where Eliza was siting.
"How did you sleep," Alex asked siting down and wrapping an arm around her.
"Great, all because you were there," Eliza spoke sweetly.
"Then remind me to always be there", he smiled back.
Eliza light hit him.
"Stop being flirty," she joked, truthfully she loved it.
"I know you, Betsy, you love when I do that."
"True, will you stay here with me today?"
"Of course, i will today," Alexander pulled Eliza closer. That day was spent by the two, lightly kissing and cuddling. Alexander finally got some good sleep, and Eliza felt like she did the day she met him, helpless.
