"Do you like that necklace, (Y/N)?"

You take your eyes away from the beautiful necklace and smile, shaking your head. (C/N) raises an eyebrow. Sighing, you say "Well, I do. But it's way too expensive. I mean, really. Who would pay $80 for a necklace?"

"I paid $90 for a ring before. I'm not crazy for doing that, right?" She asks.

"Really? Is it that really pretty blue ring you wore last week?" You think for a moment. "I mean.. I would've bought video games with that money but hey, it's a pretty ring so I guess you aren't too crazy." You shrug. "Anyways, come on. The donuts are waiting for us." You head into the cafe.

(C/N) stares at the necklace, mumbling some incoherent words. After staring at the necklace for what seems like hours, she slowly turn away from the glass display case and head into the cafe.

"What took you so long? I bought you your favorite, here." You take a donut out of the bag and hand it to her. "I also got you coffee."

"Thanks!" She takes a bite of her donut and looks out the window. You stare at her in confusion, noticing that she seems a bit absentminded. "Your coffee is right here."

(C/N)'s hands continue to roam around the table as she continues to look out the window, slowly chewing. You snap your fingers in front of her face as she turns to face you. Staring at you in confusion, she mumbles a "What?"

"Are you alright? You seem a bit off."

"Of course, sorry. Just thinking about.. stuff." She replies back, taking a sip of her coffee.

"Righttt.." You mumble.

*ding dong*

"Coming!" You shout, pausing your show.

Opening the door, you are surprised to see.. nothing. A vibrant, red favor bag catches your eyes as you bend down to pick it up. Looking around, you shrug and head inside.

"I wonder who this is from.." You peer inside the bag, seeing a black gift box and a wrapped gift. "She didn't.."

Opening the gift box, your eyes widen. "She did!"

You quickly head upstairs to your bedroom and stand in front of the mirror, wearing the necklace. "It's beautiful!" You take in the beauty of the necklace and smile.

Taking out your phone, you call (C/N). "GIRL, THANK YOU SO MUCH!"

She laughs, "No problem, do you like it?"

"Like it? I LOVE it! You didn't have to buy this for me, but thank you so much! You're the best!"

"Definitely send me a picture~! Didn't you get anything else? It should be wrapped in a pink wrapping paper. You seriously didn't see it?"

"OH!" You head downstairs. "I went upstairs to try the necklace on so I guess I forgot about it." You laugh, taking out the wrapped gift. "I swear if you got me the video game I've always wanted-.. NOO YOU DID!"

She laughs, "Yep! I did. I remember you kept telling me how much you wanted the game so I thought, why not?"

"YOU ARE SERIOUSLY THE BEST!"

"I know~" She laughs. "I didn't think you would get THIS happy."

"I would scream right now but my parents are going to kill me if I do." You clap your hands together and sigh in content, "SO excited to play this game."

"It makes me happy that you're happy." She says, lowering her voice. "I should buy you more video games just to see you act all giddy again." She murmurs.

"Just you being here with me makes me just as happy silly." You give a short laugh, only to receive a gasp and stuttering in return.

"Y-You heard that? I uhh.. I HAVE TO G-GO! THE DONUTS ARE WAITING FOR ME!" The call ends.

You open the front door and step out, seeing (C/N) running across the street. "We went to the cafe a few minutes ago!"

"I DON'T CARE!" She shouts as you laugh, shaking your head.

"What's up with her?" You think for a moment and shut the door. Shrugging, you head upstairs.

"She's probably still hungry."
