Add the tassels and... there! All finished!

Smiling at the finished scarf, you admire it like a pleased mother watching her child take their first, unstable steps. Although the process was seemingly interminable, all your hard work certainly paid off. You made some minor mistakes during the process, but luckily they aren't distinct.

You scrutinize the scarf to make sure there aren't any pesky yarn sticking out. Thankfully, only three are present. You snip them with a pair of kiddie scissors and discard the remains. Perfect!

"Good morning," a husky voice murmurs.

You spin around in your swivel chair. "Hey! Slept well?" you ask your boyfriend. He rubs the sleep from his eyes and nods, yawning.

Upon seeing the scarf, his eyes widen and he clasps his hands together. You laugh lightly at how adorable he looks. "You're just like a kid in a toy store for the first time (C/N)," you say.

"You already finished it?! May I try the scarf on?" (C/N) asks with a hint of exhilaration.

"Of course!" You rise to your feet and muffle him in the handmade scarf. "Warm enough?" you question. You tug around a bit to make sure the scarf is secure around his neck.

He gazes up at you with a lopsided grin, his eyes gleaming with satisfaction. "It's very warm! Thank you, (Y/N)!" He proceeds to gaze at you for what seems to be an eternity. You flicker your eyes to the ticking clock and feign a cough. A little awkward...

(C/N) tiptoes and lands a chaste kiss on your lips, catching you by surprise. "A kiss for my talented girlfriend!"

You're certain your boyfriend's cuteness is going to be the cause of your death.
