Today. Today is the day Jason Ryder McCann gets married. The day Candice Susan Swanepoel became Candice Susan McCann. Yep, they're getting married. Tying the knot. And whatever releates to that..

It's currently 4.30, thirty minutes til they start the ceremony into becoming a married couple, like they've talked about over the past 4 years.

Jason is sat in his dressing room with sweaty palms and a body full of nerves. His heart was pounding, he's going to get married to the girl who he's going to spend the rest of his life with. His leg bopping up and down. He was excited, happy yet some part of him felt anxious. Anxious because his best man and life friend isn't here yet.

He said he'd be here. He had to be. He was getting married. He was obliged to be here.

Yet still, Jason was at alone his dressing room.

He looked down at his phone, still no reply. He's message him a thousand times, maybe even more.

His whereabouts is unkown. Why wasn't he here? Is there something wrong? He asked himself.

anxous by the second. He felt a bad feeling in his belly.

Minutes went by and yet still no reply.

What happened to him?

A knock came on the door and Dylan peeked in.

"Hey bro, you ready?" He asked.

He shook his head. "Justin's still not here, he's my best man,"

"Jase, c'mon, you're gonna run late," He said softly.

Jason had a bad feeling his in stomach still.

He looked at his phone again. Nothing.

He sighed and hesitantly nodded.

Dylan helped as he placed on his blazer.

He was about to shut the door before his phone dinged.

Jason! I'm so proud of you, you're finally getting married to the girl of your dreams. She's absoultey an angel. Don't be nervous! You never are. You've got this.

No need to worry about me. I'm very sorry but I can't make it. I'm sorry for letting you down as best man. I'm sorry for letting you down as a best friend.

I'm sorry but truth is I've loved you since we were eighteen and you never noticed. But that's okay, you loved Candice and I wouldn't blame you, I'd choose her over me any day.

It's too late now, you're getting married to her. No chance left. I've got nothing to live for anymore.

Jase, I'm super happy you're getting married. It's always been your dream, to get married to your best friend, have kids and grow old. Now you can do that with Candice. I can't do that but I'm happy she will.

Jason shook his head. Tears falling rapidly down his cheeks. No.

No! This can't be happening.

"Justin's gonna commit!" He yelled shaking his head.

Dylan's eyes widened.

Jason ran out and into the part where everyone was.

He ran past them and out the door only to see Candice in her beautiful dress.

"Jason!" She yelled.

"J-Justin is gonna commit! I have to go to him!" He cried.

Candice looked at the hysterical man, giving him sypathetic eyes.

"Go save him," She whispered.

Jason nodded and got inside the car.

"Candice, you look so beautiful," He said looking out the window.

She smiled. "Thank you, now go save him Jase,"

He nodded appreciatively at how understanding she is and zoomed out of the venue.

Jason must of broken all the road rules in the book butit was worth it.

"Justin?!!" He called as he got into the house.

"Justin?! Please!" He cried.

He skipped up the stairs and into Justin's room. The bathroom light on.

He ran in and fell to the ground.

"NOOOOO! JUSTIN!"

He ran to the bath and grabbed him out of the bloody iced water.

"JUSTIN! PLEASE! COME BACK TO ME!!" He cried.

"Justin please!!"

"Jason?!" He turned around to see Dylan and a phone in his hand.

"Jay! Please! Don't leave me on my own. I love you so much!"Jason cried, his eyes blurry as he hugged his cold body.

"Please.. please don't let me live without you," He whispered his ears.

He rocked him back and fourth. "Please.. please Jay, come back to me," Looking up at the ceiling, praying to the big man upstairs.

"Please! Please don't take him! I need him!" He cried cradling Justin's bloody and scarred body.

Hoping that God could hear him.

He was soon separated and Justin was laid on a gurney and rushed into the ambulance.

"Dearly beloved, we have gathered here to..

Jason zoned out. He couldn't believe it.

It's happening.

Why couldn't he save him?

Why was he taken so quick?

It's all my fault for not noticing.

He didn't realise had tears down his cheeks until a hand was placedon his knee.

He looked up and Candice sent him a sad smile.

He grabbed her hand and squeezed it.

"I love you so much," He whispered as he placed a white rose on the coffin and stood up.

"I'll see you later," He said before paying his final respects and left.

His heart was buried with Justin.

Years later

Jason shuffled into his new house as the last box was placed on the ground.

He sat on the bed and looked at the box. Bold letters, MEMORIES with a heart.

Grabbing the knife, he opened the box.

He smiled as he pulled everything out and laid them on the bed.

Soon at the bottom of the box he found an envelope.

A light purple envelope addressed to Jason.

Taking a deep breathe, he opened the letter.

Dear Jason,

I'm happy now, I feel no pain. It's okay. I'm not gonna make this long and painful to read so listen.

Please, I'll know you'll open this later maybe in the next years but I want to say,

It would make me so happy so proud if you married Candice and build a family together.

I still love you if you do. I'll always be there for you, like I said.

Please do continue to follow your dreams. I wanna watch you be happy.

I'll be watching over you,

He smiled, a tear escaping his eye.

"Congratulations, a healthy baby boy," The doctor said as beautiful cried filled the room.

"He's beautiful," Candice whispered.

Jason smiled beside her and touched his little boy's cheek.

It was such a beautiful moment and Justin was smiling down on them.

"Name?"

"Justin Drew McCann," Candice answered making Jason's eyes widen.

"R-really?" He asked, they talked about a diffrent names before.

She nodded. "Of course," She smiled at the little bundle.

"Thank you," He whispered, kissing her sweaty temple.

"Justin Drew," Jason smiled as the little boy opened his eyes and revealed his hazel brown eyes.
