Halloween Special! (Cartoonz)
"We're here!" (R/n) said, parking on the side of the road.
Me and some friends are taking some time out in the woods, camping and enjoying some spooky stories by the fire. Since Delirious had his own thing with his room mate so he just told me 'good luck'. We grabbed our sleep sacks, some woods for the fire and the food. Something simple for one night. Well, it's Halloween after all.
We organized our stuff, talked and had some fun and, as the night fall, we started to tell scary stories to each other. Then it was my turn to make one up.
"It was a night like this one. A beautiful girl, blue eyes and black hair was living in this woods. She was good to everyone who passed by her cabin, taking care of the lost people and giving them food and water. But one night, a woman came. Her heart was pure black with hate. She went into her cabin and felt envy. How can she be beautiful and happy? The woman couldn't understands and her rage took over once again. With a sharp kitchen knife, she tip toed to the girls bedroom. She didn't killed her at first, she wanted her to suffer. She bleached her hair white, her eyes as well and in her last breath, before the knife went into her, she said, 'whoever came to her home, he or she, will get her revenge on'."
I finished the story and everyone was silent and I went on a fit of laugh.
"Guys, I'm lying, I just created the story." I said getting my breath back and saw they calm down.
"God damn it Luke. You got us good."
We continued, but I started to feel eyes on me. I shrugged it off and went on, until I heard a plate breaking. I saw (other R/n) with his eyes widened and his mouth open, shaking like crazy.
"What's wrong (other R/n)?" I asked, all eyes on him. He pointed to the woods and we followed his gaze. The girl I described. She was there, standing, dressed in white and her hair, long white hair, and when she opened her eyes, white.
In the rush, we went to separate ways, and unfortunately, I was going alone. I was soon lost and scared. But I heard in a distance water. Where there's water, there's people and, hopefully, good people. I followed the noise and got to a river, but before I got any closer, I saw the girl again. I started to shake an wanted to run, until she knelled down and washed her hands and face.
"God damn, I'll go to hell after this." I heard she say. Her voice was... beautiful. She then took her white hair, a wig, to reveal (h/l) (h/c) hair. "That guy was cute though... What was his name?" She said. Which one? "Luke? Meh, I don't remember." So I was cute? Why the hell am I smiling?! I shook my head and saw she getting up, stretching and walking away.
This bitch scared us away for her fun. She won't get away with it. I followed her to a cabin. 'So she lives nearby.' She went in and I watched her throw the window. I'm not a creep, I'm just curious. She went in and she took her eye-contacts off, shining (e/c) eyes. She took her dresses as well. No, she wasn't naked, she had a shorts and a shirt underneath. What the hell is wrong with you? I went to her front porch door and knocked. I crossed my arms over my chest and stared at her as soon as she opened.
"Oh hey there, how can I help you?" She looked normal, although I could sense she was a bit shocked to see me.
"Hi, I'm sorry to knock so late at night but I need some place to stay just for today." I said smiling innocently.
"Sure, com'on in, it's a bit chilly tonight." She said, opening the door more, welcoming me here. "I'm (Y/n)." She said, smiling and giving her hand to shake politely.
"Luke."
I looked around and she leaded me to the living room, close to the kitchen. I then noticed some portraits around the fire place. "They are my family." She said behind me. I looked at her and she had a mug with hot chocolate in it, handing it to me. "My great grandmother lived here." She pointed to a picture of a smiling girl that I could swear it was her, but with darker hair and a lace on her head. "I know why you're here because you followed me. I'm sorry for scaring your friends but I couldn't resist." She said smiling. "Sorry about that."
I smiled cause I wasn't expecting for her to recognize me. "It's okay, it was fun. I never knew (R/n) could run that fast." I said and she laughed. We talked a little bit more, knowing each other. Apparently her grandmother passed away a few months ago and left her parents this house and, since she was taking her time to write her book, she needed some inspiration and came here to do so. We chatted a little bit more until we were tired. She showed me the guest bedroom and closed the door, living me be once again.
The night passed, but I couldn't sleep. I sat on the bed and looked to the window. I heard some noise on the kitchen and went to investigate. I saw (Y/n) there, but with a peach color dress, looking inside a drawer. I smiled and went to her.
"What you doing up so late (Y/n)?" I asked and she turned to me with a smile.
"Just searching something."
"Like what?"
"A box, there's something inside that I was suppose to give it to someone before she came." She said, going back into it.
"Let me help you." I went beside her and she smiled. I then felt something sharp on the edges. "I think I got it." I said to her and her smile was bigger. I got it out and put it in the table. "Can I open it?" I asked, looking behind me, but she wasn't there anymore.
I then heard some noise coming from the stairs and I saw her coming down. "What are you doing?" She asked rubbing her eyes, now with a (f/c) shirt and a pajama pants.
"You asked me to help you find this box. Why did you change clothes?"
"What you talking about? I heard you talking alone and I went cheek what was it." My eyes widened. I showed her the box and she sat beside me. "What is in it?"
"I don't know." I looked to the old picture of her great grandmother and it hit me. 'Something she was supposed to give it to someone before she came.' Was my story true? "How did your great grandmother died?" I asked. She looked at me puzzled but told me anyway. She died of old age, which gave me somewhat relieve, but she had a dream of running away with a guy, who she suppose was her boyfriend at the time, but her mother took her to the city and she came back only 30 years later, now married, and the boy had moved away. I asked her about the boys name, but she didn't knew.
"But I remember my grandma's eyes lit up when she told me the guy's feature." She said smiling. I couldn't keep my smile from her, even though I was scared. "Wow." She then said and looked a bit shocked.
"What?"
"You." I looked her with a question look. "You have the same teeth she described."
"It pass from generation to generation. Maybe my great grandfather met her." I smiled, now knowing why her ghost smiled at me.
"Maybe." We turned back to the box again. "Should we open it?" She asked and I nodded.
Very slowly and carefully, we opened it. In there there was a peach colored lace and a letter. We opened it and read.
'My dear Luke. I'm sorry about what my mother said. I'll be going to the city tomorrow and I wish you could wait for me. But... I won't keep you from happiness. I only hope one day, we'll meet again. I pray for my future members of mine family meet yours and find what I found with you. I'm still sorry for scaring you that day, but I couldn't resist. But I want you to be happy, and maybe, only maybe, we'll find each other once again. With all my love, (Y/N). Ps: I still think your teeth cute.'
I looked at her and she looked at me.
"Luke... You..."
"Yeah..."
We looked back at the box and got the lace, taking it up. We then noticed movement outside. We run to the porch door and opened it, to reveal (Y/n) and Luke, our great grandparents spinning in each others arms and smiling.
"I knew we would be together."
"Even though it took us 3 generations."
"Oh, shut up. You took months to even ask me out."
"I did not."
"Did too."
"At least you took care of our tree." He said and she punched him playfully on the arm. They looked at us and smiled one last time before disappearing into the air.
We looked at each other.
"So, are you gonna ask me out too or are you gonna do like him and wait months?" She asked with a grin in her face. She was joking, of course, but I could feel the truth in her voice.
I smiled and took her into my arms, smiling. "I'm not that patient." And with that, I sealed our lips.
