Third Person's POV
The night sky was clear as the stars shined brightly on the dark canvas above without a single cloud scattered around. It was a peaceful night as the sound of crickets and insects fill the air around the town of Phoenix Drop. Except when it came to the Zvahl house, it wasn't as quiet.
After getting in trouble with a drunk Hayden via something that seemed so small, Alex had locked herself up in her room to escape the fight that was brewing. If it weren't for Laurance's grades slipping ever so slightly from a B+ in his math class to a B-, the rest of Alex's Friday night would've been filled with some form of fighting and yelling between her and Hayden. And being the sweet boyfriend he was, Vylad snuck out of his house and climbed up the tree next to his girlfriend's window only to end up on the roof with her. The roof was a place Alex would go to when she was at home to think or simply have some time to herself, and this was one of those times. Zianna didn't mind when Vylad would do this and simply thought it was adorable with their "young love."
Alex feared and disliked a drunk Hayden, but she loved when he was sober. He was the kindest man around, and she was a daddy's girl when he wasn't filled with liquor.
A blanket lays underneath the two sixteen year olds as Alex rests her head against Vylad's upperarm with her side pressed up firmly against Vylad's body. There was the smallest chill, and Alex has already found herself being swallowed up by Vylad's sweatshirt as she looks up at the shinning stars about them, Hayden's words already slipping slowly from her mind.
Vylad made her feel safe and made it feel as though everything was alright in the world when he was around. He was her rock and she was his. And when you feel as though the whole world is against you as teenagers, the thought of being locked in an embrace with your lover is the best feeling in the world. It was a feeling Alex never wanted to lose her grasp on. And with her fearing that she'd lose another person she cared about, she really didn't want to lose him.
The young female's eyes dart across the sky as she makes it her mission to find a certain constellation before the green eyed male next to her does. This was oftentimes something Alex and Vylad would do, and he would always beat her on finding it. Vylad was a wiz on the stars and constellations while Alex could go on and on for hours about facts the universe beholds. They were dorks, but they liked being dorks together.
"There it is! I found it first!" Alex smiles, her hand lifting up to the sky to point to the seven stars her eyes are locked on. Vylad looks at her confused, his eyebrows furrowed together slightly, and he looks up to where she's pointing. That was until Vylad grabs onto her arm and moves it into a different direction, and Alex bites her lip, defeated. "Damn it, I found the Little Dipper. But hey, I found a Dipper! That has to count for something, right?"
Vylad finds her words amusing as her pulls the girl closer to him where she would lay against her side and rest her head against his chest, listening to the sound of his heartbeat with a happy grin. She draws little heart with her forefinger onto the other side of his chest with the fabric of his shirt causing her finger to run over little bumps in the road.
"It counts in adding onto your cuteness factor," Vylad chuckles, tilting his head to the side in order to leave a kiss against the top of her head, and wraps his arm tightly around the female. He continues to talk knowing that she's try to get into a friendly fight with him about who the cute one of their relationship was, and Vylad would always try to find a way to win the argument by somehow trying to end it after his last comment. Either it be with a simple kiss or a quick change of a conversation, it was always an argument Vylad would try to win. It was the same thing when he would question 'how he had gotten so lucky with her.' "Which, chérie, you are the cute one of this relationship, I won't argue with you on this."
Alex rolls her eyes, smiling to herself largely at her nickname he had given her. It slipped off his tongue so smoothly as if he were a natural, and it oftentimes sent shivers down her spine. She found it cute how he would call her darling in French, and it only made it all the more special to her. And for the past five years, Alex and Vylad have been learning French, a language that both hoped to have a decent grasp upon as Paris seemed to be a dream in Alex's eyes and one of the many stops on Vylad's "to go" list for traveling. And with the two heading off to college in only a short amount of time, their dreams seemed to only come closer to them as life went by.
Vylad wanted to travel the world, and Paris seemed to bring some light to Alex's eyes when she'd mention what she'd do or where she'd go and always managed to bring Vylad into her plans seen as she didn't think they would ever spilt. She thought of him as her one, and Vylad was willing to do anything to make her happy. And if taking her to Paris would make her happy, he'd one day take her to Paris.
When it came to Alex and Vylad talking of their future together, it seemed so real to them. They had wanted to get married and have two children, a boy and a girl. Not a single name was picked out, but they figured they'd pick them out when the time comes, and Alex could only pray that at least one of her children would end up having Vylad's green eyes. She adored them, and she oftentimes falls deeper in love with him each time she looks into his eyes.
"You know, my love, I've been saying your nickname wrong all this time," Alex comments, lifting her head up off his chest as she looks at Vylad, his eyes twinkling from the stars. He questions what she means by this, humoring her, as she has always called him 'my love' or 'love' from when they had first gotten together. "I should be saying mon amour, but I can call you mon putain d'idiot if you'd like me to instead," she giggles, Vylad scolding her afterwards because he caught onto her saying that she'd call him "my fucking idiot" if he wished for it. Why would he want that? "But mon amour is so much more romantic," Alex concludes glancing up at the stars from the corner of her eye, feeling as Vylad gives her a slight squeeze. She begins to realize just how late is has become and sighs, upset that he'd have to part ways from her and head back to the Ro'meave residence. "Stay? With me? We could fall asleep in each other's arms, and the bad night would seem like a blur because I am able to feel at home with you. The smell of your cologne and the feeling of your sweatshirt draped over my body can only do so much, but cuddling together can do so much more. So can we cuddle together tonight? Please?"
She gives him puppy dog eyes while her bottom lip sticks out in a pout, a small peck being placed against her lips afterwards, and Vylad lets out a sigh and agrees saying that he'd text his mother once they got inside. He hasn't been able to say no to that face, and it oftentimes made him feel like putty in her hands while his words to her left her in the same effect.
They safely climb back in through the small window and Alex places the blanket onto a chair nearby as she feels his arms on her stomach, his chin resting against her shoulder as he hugs her from behind only for her to slip around to face him and place her hands on his cheeks.
"Just think," he tells her, smiling down fondly at her, his hands now holding her firmly on both sides of her waist, peppering her face with kisses before he talks once again. "Someday in the future, we would be able to cuddle together everyday and every night with no one to tells us no. There'll be a ring on your pretty little finger as I give you my last name. Our future looks bright, chérie."
"I can't wait, mon amour." Alex goes onto her top toes and leaves a kiss against his lips, smiling softly in the process and frowning when they pull away. "C'mon, lets go cuddle," she says, tugging on his T-shirt as she makes her way to her bed's direction.

Little giggles, different from any kind heard before, echo off the room walls as they end in little shrieks of pure excitement. The owner's stomach is tickled, and the person making the tickling happen smiles widely as their heart does a small flutter from the love they feel.
Their fun is ruined once footsteps are heard, and Alex turns her head around to see Vylad standing in the nursery's doorway. He walks over and brushes his forefinger against the little baby's chubby cheek with a little smile before gently kissing the female next him on the cheek as a greeting.
"Well if it isn't my two favorite girls," Vylad comments, looking over at his wife and their little baby girl. He reaches for the child, and Alex hands her over as Vylad lifts her into the air, listening as the baby lets out another giggle at his action as she makes grabby hands towards her father. "It seems you both were spending some quality time together and didn't feel the need to invite me." He lowers the baby back down from the air and rests her in his arms, swaying slightly from side to side as to calm her down. She has a little set of pajamas on, so it was clear to see that Alex was going to set her down to bed in only a short amount of time. "Isn't that right Paris? Mommy wouldn't tell daddy that she was having a party with his little flower."
Alex crosses her arms and glances out the window towards the night sky, grinning softly at the cloudless night and the sparkling stars before walking over to Vylad and taking their daughter of of his arms again only to tuck her into her little crib.
"It appears that daddy forgot that he was with Uncle Garroth and Uncle Zane for some quality time with his brothers while mommy said she'd watch over their daughter so she could spend time with Uncle Laurance and Auntie Cadenza the next while daddy watches over his little flower in his own party." Alex glances at Vylad by tilting her head to the side and feeling him place his hands on each side of her waist as he looks down at the now sleepy baby. Paris yawns, and Alex looks down to see her baby's eyes fight against the want to sleep, and Alex giggles. "Paris, there's no need to fight it. Please sleep, for mommy." Paris lets out a small noise and lets her heavy eyelids shut as her parents smile down lovingly at the small human. "I love you, ma petite étoile brilliante," she whispers, turning away from the baby and sneaking out of the dark room to the living room downstairs.
Paris Rose, a small six month old baby that appeared almost to be the best of both worlds with her blonde hair and green eyes. She had the same colored eyes that Alex hoped that one of her children would receive from their father. She didn't hate her own brown orbs, but Vylad's always had something about them that Vylad loved. Maybe it was the twinkle they always possessed, but Alex didn't really know.
The small sleeping baby had been named after her parent's engagement in the city of love. The same night of Alex's birthday as she looked around terrified that she couldn't find her boyfriend on top of the Eiffel Tower only to look down next to her to see him on one knee. It was something so cliché that she couldn't seem not to love from the man she loved. And after they had gotten married, they decided to try for a baby only for Alex to run out of the bathroom one day crying to Vylad with tears of happiness saying that she was pregnant and that Vylad would soon be a dad like he always wanted to be. And as for 'Rose,' Vylad had become sappy and wanted a piece of her name to be apart from Alex's therefore using Alex's middle name to complete the name 'Paris Rose.'
They both had "goals" as parents although they also aren't really seen as goals to them. Vylad was happy that his own children had the ability to know their biological father and have a relationship with him, and Alex was happy to know that her children would know who their parents were and wouldn't have to go through life as an orphan only to be adopted. She was thankful for Hayden, but Alex at times couldn't help but wonder what would've happened if her parents would've lived from that car crash. Neither Alex nor Vylad planned on leaving anytime soon, so their children would live a happy life with a happy family. They both wanted another child, but Vylad couldn't wait. He didn't want to wait.
"Alex, what would you say if I said that I wanted to try for another baby?" Vylad asks, gaining attention from Alex. They sat on the couch as he had somehow managed to pull her onto his lap as he held her close to him. "As in, tonight. . . or even tomorrow."
"I'd say you're crazy, Vylad!" Alex laughs, the corners of her eyes crinkling up from the smile that was left in her laugh's place. She lays her head against his chest and listens to the sound of his beating heart. "Paris is only six months old. I was pregnant for nine months. Just give me a little bit of time, and we can try for another one."
"I can live with that," Vylad tells her, letting out a small chuckle at how she seemed tired as she continued to lay against his chest. He was able to live with that because after Paris's first birthday, he had gotten Alex pregnant once again with a baby boy that had Vylad's brown hair and Alex's brown eyes. "I love you and Paris so much, chérie. Thank you, thank you for everything."
In Vylad's eyes, the girl in his arms was still the same girl from all those years ago dressed in a pair of shorts and letting her figure be swallowed by his sweatshirt that seemed to be a little too big for her. She always loved stealing his clothes, and she still does, but he doesn't mind. He knows she's his, and this was just one of the upsides to it. Vylad loved the idea of her wearing his clothes. This was the same girl that'd cheer more for her boyfriend out in the soccer field more than her own brother even if she didn't enjoy the sport all that much only to run out onto the field afterwards and kiss his lips and leave his cheeks dusted with pink before walking over to her brother. And in Alex's eyes, he was still the same boy that would try to clean up the cuts and scraps her skateboard would give her as she would cuss in pain and pepper him in kisses in hopes that he'd stop. He was still the same boy who would be embarrassed of most PDH and would give her all the kisses she would want behind closed doors with only each other. And although they're getting older with time, they're still those little teenagers in their mind when they would look at one another.
"Vylad," Alex hums, growing tired herself as a small yawn slips from her lips. "You don't have to thank me. Thank you for always being with me through thick and thin, good or bad." She stands up from his lap and grabs onto his hand, acting as though she were sixteen again and claiming she wants to cuddle as she leads them to their own room. Vylad was right, one day they would be able to be around each other or fall asleep in each other's arms without needing permission from someone other than themselves. "However I don't know what I would do without you. I love you. And now, I have both mon amour and ma petite étoile brillante. Or. . . should I call her notre petite étoile brillante? I have you both, and I have a happy life. What more could I ask for?"
Vylad wasn't the only one who would question how he had gotten so lucky. Every morning and every second of the day, Alex asks herself the same exact question when she sees what her life has become.
